After an unfortunate lapse in payment for my auto insurance which was a first in over 7 years as a loyal customer of Progressive, I had my policy cancelled, and in turn my premiums tripled. Having talked to my then-insurance agent, I was told there was nothing I could do but find a new policy (with the new, much higher rates). Suddenly, I had no option but to look for new policies because of a mistake on my part, which my insurance agent should have warned me about. Having known John for years, I contacted him to see if there was any advice he could give me. He went above and beyond (keeping in mind he's not even my insurance agent!) to speak with progressive, discuss the issue, and after a stressful yet productive meeting, we were able to get my policy back up at the normal rates. He was with me throughout the whole process, expecting nothing back in return. John literally saved me thousands of dollars a year, when other insurance agents had no answer, or desire to help me. We knew we had to look into a new Insurance carrier, but it was so scary to even think of leaving someone that we had been with for so many years. We just kept on making the large payments and dealing with what we thought was our only options. The company that we had been covered under for so many years changed their coverage structure and their customer service was on a major decline. By chance my husband and I took our son to an outdoor event where I saw a State Farm agent table. I was like, nope. I was so agitated to even walk by there, because the only thing I knew about State Farm was the commercial and other people's bad experiences. I just thought it was going to be daunting to even have the conversation with anyone, much less with a large known Insurance carrier. My son saw a booth that he wanted to go to and I had to walk by. Allison was so amazing! It felt like it was going to be too easy, which made me very nervous. Her spirit and personality just drew me in. She made me feel at ease about transitioning to a new company from all my insurance needs. She made all the necessary transactions. We did very little on what we thought was going to be an overwhelming task. Since then we have had to file a claim with State Farm due to a house issue. We were nervous wrecks, all the things that I have ever heard about filing a claim came to mind. We were so overwhelmed to even make the phone call. The first few steps that we took we knew that we were in great hands. The whole entire State Farm team was by our side the whole way. Phone calls, emails you name it. They were there. Their customer service is one of the best I've ever experienced. I know that their motto is "Like a good neighbor State Farm is there", but it should be "like family State Farm will always be there". Because they have always made us feel so amazing. They have given us nothing but empathy, kindness, patience, and understanding. Even when we had questions or concerns about our insurance coverage, they have been phenomenal. They have always made us feel at ease offering us guidance when we are questioning what we need to do next. They are definitely like the calm of the storm. I know if I call for anything I am going to be smiling and feeling like I am in great hands by the time I hang up. I recently told one of the office team members that I wish I could call them when I'm having other problems, because they make me feel so great by the time I'm off the phone. Over the last year, we've had the unfortunate luck of wrecking two vehicles, and each time, the Jamison Agency at Allstate went above and beyond to make a bad situation manageable and stress-free. The first wreck was tough--we totaled an older car we had paid off long ago. We were worried about how little we'd get for it, but thankfully, our agent had convinced us to add a feature called Auto Replacement Protection. That small add-on (only $12.88 per month per car!) saved us. Instead of getting just $17,000 for the car, the policy bumped the value as if it were two years newer, and we received $21,000. That extra $4,000 made all the difference! The entire process was seamless: within minutes of calling, they filed the claim, assigned us a collision shop, and arranged a rental car. Updates came almost daily, and within two weeks, we had a new truck. Plus, our insurance rate didn't go up. Incredible. This wreck was not our fault. The second wreck was during a freeze, and I was dreading the process. We were at fault since the weather caused the accident, and I was sure our rates would skyrocket. But Allstate's accident forgiveness kicked in, and to my relief, our rates stayed the same. Again, they handled everything so quickly. A tow truck was dispatched within 30 minutes of contacting the body shop, even in the middle of a snowstorm. The claims adjuster and rental car company called the same day, and we've received daily updates ever since. I don't know how this claim will end, but I do know I don't have to worry because of how reliable Allstate and the Jamison Agency are. We trust them so much we have all our insurance with them--auto, home, and life. If I'm going to spend money on insurance, I want to know the company will actually take care of us when life gets tough. The Jamison Agency does that and more.
