Best selection and prices of tropical fruits and veggies in the area, ambiance a little rustic but I picked up some nice fruits here.

The produce is often really low quality. All of the leafy greens are really slimy, and fruits are moldy. The employees are often really rude too. The last 4 times I've gone, they've had short tempers towards the customers. One employee overcharged me by $30, initially insisting that that wasn't true. When she finally realized her mistake, she was telling me how I was really inconveniencing her by requesting the refund. They weren't even busy at that time. There was one other customer and the other employee was helping that customer. Also, many of their bulk containers don't have a place for the scoop, so it just sits in the bucket with the food, which is against Oregon's food sanitation laws. I really want to like this place because it's close to home and sells local produce, but there are too many bad qualities. read more

I love this store it's a quick healthy and delicious stop on the way home. Everyone has a smile there and it's always clean.

Like the song says, "Only two things that money can't buy, that's true love and home grown tomatoes". Farmers Market tomatoes are the next best thing to home grown, and the best that money can buy. Here's what I do.....I get lean ground beef, like 93% lean, and good quality hamburger buns, not the cheap ones. Then I make an extra stop at the Farmers Market to get a few pounds of juicy red tomatoes. I make the burgers big, at least 1/3 pound each, and cook them medium rare. Put them on toasted buns with a spritz of ketchup and generous amounts of tasty tomatoes, at least three slices. Sometimes I go crazy and use a whole tomato on each burger. You only live once, right? I take a big bite, and my eyes roll back in my head like a shark, the explosion of beef and tomato flavor is better than any pricey steak that I've ever enjoyed in my life. So I make a point of having a great meal with the best, tastiest tomatoes on a regular basis, which means I visit the friendly folks at Farmers Market at least once each week. read more

With twice weekly produce deliveries you can guarantee the freshest and most local produce available at an affordable price. Mario is a great produce manager and doesn't hold back his 100% honest opinion if you ask him he will tell you get the nectarines instead of the peaches etc. And he will give you a refund if you are not happy "basically a win win situation". You can bring your own containers for bulk foods as well like mason jars or old butter tubs and get tare weights a lot of stores won't let you anymore. But the best part of the store is the people that work there they epitomize the laid back and comfortable vibe of Southern Oregon. read more

I am reserving one star only because, well, I don't know why. Maybe because I give out too many five stars when I am excited about a place? One teacher told me that grading you just below the top left you room to improve. Anyway, this place is the cat's meow for fresh produce or organic foods, or even natural medications. Plan to spend a bit of time and really look around. We left last night with a small selection of different cheeses and crackers, and are headed back for the makings of a great salad for dinner tonight! read more

Far more than a fruit & veggie affair, this Farmer's Market carries a decent supply of organic and natural products for health and beauty at affordable prices. Nice Surprise! I am so disappointed. The last few times I've been shopping at Farmer's Market, I've been treated badly. The cashier was rude and snippy. Last time, a different cashier was so rude. I had forgotten my mask so I had my shirt pulled up over my nose. She yelled from across the room that I would not be served if I did not have a real mask on. Super helpful friendly service - a rare quality. Many hard to find items too! Big chain stores are beginning to offer great varieties of organic foods but buying local keeps dollars local longer.... This place could be a lot better. First off its hard to get to. The staff were ok but my major problem was the protein. There is no meat here, other than frozen stuff. I am not vegan but love some fresh produce but found the small chain rays to be way better. read more
