    Apple cider donuts !

I love this farm! Another local gem in Wayne. Super cute family friendly farm. They have a garden nursery area. Beautiful mums for sale. A ton a variety of gourds and pumpkins- big and small. The market is pretty big- a ton of variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Baked good vary from large cakes to small packaged cookies and brownies. We opted for some brownies and apple cider donuts. Both were delicious. I went on a Saturday and it was so much fun. Very busy filled with many families. They have hayrides available along with a petting zoo. Def recommend going there- it was so much fun.

We come here every year to gather about 10 lbs of strawberries, that way we have enough jam to last us all year. It's best to come early, parking fills up quick and then you can pick the best of the best. $5 a person to enter and they give you as many boxes as you want (pay by weight at the end). Load your berries in your car and run into the store for fresh produce, pies, cookies, honey, salsa, nut breads, pickled veggies, etc. The workers at the weight stand and in the store are also knowledgeable and always smiling. Families can definitely spend hours here, support your local farms!

Nice layout of the farm, lots of flowers and cute marketplace. But lost 2 stars for the check in woman. She is not welcoming at all, very bossy. We were excited to arrive, as were the people around us, but she is quick to sharpness and killed the "vibe" We have visited many farms and never had a worker speak as abruptly as her to everyone.

    Freshly picked strawberries

Perfect local farm , great for family time , best strawberry picking location in the area , very polite staff

Look how incredibly red these berries are! They taste better than they look!

The u-pick strawberries are simply the best. The family who owns and operates the farm are fantastically knowledgeable. We have been pick strawberries for several years and the berries from Farms View never disappoint. In addition to the pick-your-own berries they have a beautiful garden center and loads of home-grown vegetables for sale in their farmhouse store.

Great strawberry picking experience. Although the strawberries were really tiny they were also very juicy. There's an $10 entrance fee but if you get the ticket online it's ~$8! They have an amazing selection of flowers to a variety of succulents for a great deal too.

Flocktown actually delivers to your doorstep, and allows you to "shop" your weekly share while adding local partner farm products like orchard fruits, artisan cheeses, natural meats, etc. to your card. Quality is consistent, and they are quick to respond to remedy the occasional concern. It's rare that I am missing an item or not satisfied with how something arrives. They even offer a delivery hold option for vacation weeks, allowing you to carry over those credits to add extra veggies in future weeks, or even roll over as a credit to next year's membership. This afternoon my wife purchased two portions of your "Harvest Chicken" from the hot foods counter. When she brought it home, we sat down expecting dinner. Instead, we were treated to what can only be described as a culinary experiment in dehydration. I didn't realize chicken could actually reach the texture of corrugated cardboard, but your staff has apparently mastered that technique. Large sections were so hard that even a fork had trouble getting through them, which is an impressive achievement if the goal was to create building materials rather than food. It's honestly a shame, because an animal had to give its life for that meal, only for it to be cooked into something no human should reasonably be expected to eat. I have seen more care put into kindergarten cooking projects. In the end, most of it went straight into the garbage, which seemed to be the most appropriate place for it. For comparison, a stop at Burger King would have been a noticeable upgrade in quality. You may want to take a look at what's happening behind that counter, because if this is the standard being served to customers, something has gone very wrong.

I believe there were…read moreothers close to this one, but we went with Ochs because of the low admission fee ($5 per person) and petting zoo. It was an hour and a half drive from upper Manhattan. We went here on a random Wednesday afternoon so we basically had the orchard to ourselves. The first parking lot you see is for their store, you have to keep driving up for the u-pick orchard. There you check in to pay your admission fee, get your wristband, and get your apple picking bag(s). They give you a map where the ripe apples are highlighted for you. My favorite apples were the honeycrisp and snap dragons. They grow vegetables too but honestly we didn't explore the orchard that much (it was huge) so the only other thing I picked besides apples was a tomato, which I felt like was pretty difficult to find a good one. I handed out the apples to other friends and colleagues and they all liked them! There's something different about picking the apple straight off the tree than the apples you would normally just buy at a grocery store. It's a lot crispier when you pick them yourself! The store has apple cider doughnuts! Now being that I am a Californian where we don't have this apple picking culture, I was wondering what all the hype around apple cider doughnuts was about. NOW I GET IT they're so good! Unfortunately since we went on a weekday the doughnuts weren't fresh (they make them fresh on the weekends) so some of them were stale, but most were still good. It's honestly more of a cake than a doughnut, but so good! The doughnuts are self serve towards the back. The store also had a cat on the prowl haha We ended up not even having time to visit the petting zoo, but overall I think my colleagues had a good time here and I would recommend this orchard for anyone trying to have a no frills apple picking experience. I believe there was like a building restroom closer to the store and port o potties closer to the u-pick orchard.
