They also had lots of leather cleats, which are rarer nowadays and it was very nice to see so many options in one spot. The owner was very friendly and clearly knowledgeable on the sport. He had lots of stories from his past about certain cleats or products that helped us choose the right option. I wasn't inspired by Stepping into Liquid as much as I was inspired by my surf buddy out here, who is originally from the Midwest. I had to do it, he said. Funny thing was, the day I did that, there was a shark attack on my home break near where he was surfing and I would have been out there in Morro Bay if not for my WI trip. Whew! So I guess there was a reason I went to Sheboygan, and there was a reason I went to EOS to rent a good board (not some foam piece of crap like you get at most rental shops on the coasts) that was epoxy and got the lowdown on the best spots from the nice woman at the counter holding the door past 7 p.m. on a Friday night for me. And while the surf was nowhere near movie quality, I did catch a couple ankle slappers the next morning and got the stoke from WI of all places. I followed that up with a Packers-Eagles game in Green Bay's Lambeau Field, and I have to say it was an unforgettable weekend. Long story short, I have to thank the crew at EOS for the freshwater stoke. Thanks again to everyone there. I crossed another goal off my list because of you guys. And, it's true, they do have barrels big enough to fit a VW. I have the t-shirts (if not the gopro photos) to prove it. Stoked! B

We were very happy we took the time to walk the trails, it was a beautiful and diverse landscape and such a lovely walk! The restaurant itself was super cozy and up north feeling. Old log cabin vibes, you really feel like you're dining in the middle of the woods at a cabin up north. There's a large wood burning fireplace when you walk in that adds to the cozy ambiance. Lunch was not busy, so it felt a little dead and there was no music playing which was fine but just kind of quiet when we were put in a back room alone. I did get the feeling that it's obvious who's members and who's not at the treatment you might get. For being so quiet, service was really slow but luckily we were in no rush. We split their wild rice and mushroom soup, a pheasant blt and elk tenderloin sandwich. Everything was really tasty, the meat was done well. You didn't get an option for your side and they just served everything with a very mayo-forward pasta salad that I did not find appetizing. Overall, a super neat and unique experience.

The sign at the the lake said everyday their online site said everyday it allowed us to book the stuff and take our money online. Nobody showed up when we arrived for our time slot. When we called the place they informed us they only had it on weekends. We tried to book this in late August but still before Labor Day weekend. The guy on the phone was alright but had a condescending tone like we were wrong to expect s paddle board even though their official posted sign said EVERYDAY. Just a sad experience to our vacation because of this company

We booked an 8 hour charter with our 3 kids. Captain and Cody were very welcoming and informative but not stifling with forced conversations. We caught 2 fish pretty quickly and then there was a lull for a few hours .......... no nibbles ...... Captain Darren and Cody tried VERY hard to help catch fish ( trying different lures, etc...) and they were stumped why they weren't biting. My husband and I really appreciated their efforts and we were all having fun nonetheless. Then my husband went into our cooler and offered everyone a banana. Cody and Darren exchanged glances and shook their heads. They told us bananas are bad luck for fishing. My husband and I had a real good laugh at this superstition and ate all the bananas and tossed out the peels. Ten minutes later, my son caught a King Salmon, and then another, and another - 6 fish pretty quickly! Darren and Cody were great helping the kids reel them in. Long story short: Captain Darren and Cody were wonderful and tried hard to make this a great experience for our family and they SUCCEEDED! Fish or no fish, we all had fun! Just remember: 1) DON'T BRING BANANAS! Thank you Captain Darren! We will be coming back ......... with pineapples
