I scheduled an appointment this week, and I'm letting everyone know this is not the place to go. I had issues as soon as I walked in the door. The check-in staff is not very helpful. I had my temporary insurance card, and they were not going to accept it. I saw the Doctor and then some tests, and looking in my ears, I had an infected eardrum on my left side and a scratch on my right-side inner canal that was causing the ringing in my ear and vertigo. I've been taking Tylenol and Aleve for the last week, and nothing is helping. I asked my doctor, and he would prescribe something for pain for a couple of days until the antibiotics kick in. His answer was no. I need to take Tylenol, which I'm doing, and use ice and a heating pad. I don't understand doctors. read more

When I first started using Farragut ENT five years ago for my elderly mothers hearing aid needs, they were great. I even stayed with them after they dropped her insurance carrier. I don't know what the problem with the clinic is now but everything rises and falls on leadership and apparently good leadership is not present at Farragut ENT. It's just been one frustration after another with them lately so I cannot recommend this clinic and would recommend folks go elsewhere like I am now doing to avoid extreme frustration. read more

Great quality care and diagnosis! I wasn't planning to go here but I was referred by my primary doctor. It turned out well and I'm not disappointed with the results. Originally I went to Costco for a hearing test, but the results were not good and Costco couldn't prescribe any hearing aids due to my condition. Instead they recommended I see an ENT. Not what I wanted to hear but it turned out for the best and Farragut ENT guided me to better health. I highly recommend this practice and their services, they really know how to take care of you and exceed your expectations! read more

My son needed to be seen quickly, and they were able to get us in two days later! This was our first time there, and we were very impressed! He was there to have a lump evaluated on his neck. We checked in and waited less than a minute!! The doctor was very knowledgeable and helped us understand exactly what was needed! Thank you for your help! read more

At least the audiologists have been very good. Office is VERY bad. Had an appointment with my long time dr, showed up, 'oh she left Sandy is your doctor now.' Ok, no biggy, but it would have been nice to know ahead. Scheduled next appointment with Dr. Sandy for the Farragut office, the only office I have ever been to. Got several confirmations and even called to confirm time. I show up. After some scrambling and computer searching, they tell me my appointment was moved to the Athens office, over an hour away. I pointed out I'd only been to the main office and responded to numerous confirmations, told 'oh yeah we just confirm the time and date not the location. It's a problem cause we have seven offices'. Really??? Fortunately, an audiologist was available to work me in, but when I went to check out 'my computer is down you'll have to wait till somebody else gets back'. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Trying to get an appointment is like begging for water in the middle of the desert during Summer. I regularly receive treatments at a Dr. Mathison-supported/sponsored practice and it's always been a seamless experience. I expected the same here. I'm taking my business back to California. Apparently, this practice doesn't need local business. read more

What a Joke this place is. The staff is poorly trained if you are seeing two different areas, and you are charging for those you need to tell the customer that and all the staff should be trained to say that epically at check out. The doctor did not listen. Everything I was already doing is what he told me to do. I came to get help not pay to be told the same thing. Please don't waste your time or money. read more

I just left Farragut ENT and will never go back. We had countless scheduling issues, uncaring phone calls, and irreconcilable differences. When I attempted to figure out what was wrong, I was met with angst and condescension. I told them thank you very much but I will be seeking a practice who cares about their patients. read more

Dr. Mathison has been my medical provider for over five years and I have always received the best care. He is a physician who truly cares about his patients and he takes the time to listen to the problem and then he throughly explain their treatment options and takes the time to answer all of their questions. He is excellent surgeon who truly saved my life. I would recommend him to anyone. His medical staff is always great especially his medical assistant Gayle she is wonderful to everyone. read more

Pretty much every time I make an appointment there is some kind of delay of at least an hour when I was having my surgery I waited 2 hours in the waiting room. Then at my 2 week follow up I waited another hour for a room then waited 30 minutes in that room for there to be a 5 minutes conversation about how everything looked good. read more

I saw Dr. Manning. I was waiting on my results of a biopsy. I had called the office 3 times to make sure they had gotten the results. I did not receive a call back of at least a confirmation that they had been received. Upon waiting on the results I hear the provider with his scribe going over my results and stating "hopefully she won't talk to us for an hour like last time". The initial visit was quick and he asked if I had any questions and I only had one question. He didn't spend an overly amount of time in my room on the initial visit. I think the provider needs to understand that the doors are thin and that is is not good bedside manner to say things like that where patients can hear him. read more

Dr. Mathison is who I usually see, he is great, and has a very professional demeanor. He performed a tonsillectomy for me, and put tubes in my infants ears for me. The only thing I have a hard time with is the wait times at the Dowell Springs location. I don't have anyone to sit with my kids while I'm at the doctor and to wait for over an hour each visit is hard. read more

I was pressured into a BHE hearing aid. I told them I had much difficulty with them before and didn't want another. They said just try it for 30 days. It didn't work just like previous ones. They kept adjusting, adjusting on and on until the 30 days were up and said too late. When I complained, they terminated me! I found a different audiologist and they were able to fix the problem easily. However, they said that hearing aid was not appropriate for me and should not have even been tried. read more

My child has been seeing Doctor Mathison for several months and had four surgeries preformed in one day. On our every first appointment the office gave us the wrong address and ended up having to drive across town. Before the surgery allergy testing was preformed and allergy shots were recommended. While waking up from surgery my child's oxygen levels would not stabilize and they just sent us home like it was nothing. The next day my child dehydrated so I called the office like I was instructed and no one would return my calls. My husband had to come home from working in South Carolina and we took our child to East TN Childrens Hospital where he was admitted. When I told the nurses about what happened they said they we should have been brought over from the surgery center and admitted because of the oxygen levels and a follow up appointment was made for a month later. After spending several days in the hospital we were discharged and the next day went back to the er for bleeding from the surgery. My husband finally got a hold of someone at the doctors office and they scheduled an appointment for us to come in sooner . While we were at the post op appointment Doctor Mathison asked when we had started the allergy shots. I informed him that we had not started them because we did not even know they were in because we have not got a call to set them up. Doctor Mathison said that he was check with the lady that does that named Teresa and have her call us. Two weeks later we still had not heard anything. My husband called and left a message saying that he wanted to speak to the doctor and no one else. Teresa called my husband back and said that he would not be able to talk to the doctor and that they would not be scheduling the shots. At this point I was tired of the games these people were playing and called a different doctors office for a second opinion on the shots. Turns out my child does not even need the shots according to the second opinion. I would never ever recommend this practice to anyone. They could have possibly killed my child. Don't let this happen to someone you love. read more
