Dr. John Mahon has been my primary care physician since I moved back to Kansas City a few years…read moreago. He's associated with the Encompass Medical Group. My parents see another physician at the same medical group and recommended seeing him when I returned to K.C. Instead I was given an appointment with Dr. Mahon, and I've been extremely pleased with the care he has given me. Encompass is easy to get to, if you know where to find it! The office is near 87th and Quivira. Marshall Drive is the western frontage road of I-35. Just turn onto Marshall Drive from 87th Street and head north -- the building is on the left and marked "Encompass". Making an appointment with Dr. Mahon has always been easy, and Encompass seems to be very good about being prompt keeping appointment times. I've rarely had to wait more than a few minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Mahon is very pleasant and personable. It's a busy medical practice, but he always seems to have the time to listen to what's going on and discuss the problem thoroughly. I've never felt rushed when I see Dr. Mahon. When necessary he's referred me to specialists, but on the whole he seems to be able to handle most medical issues I've had. Conveniently, there are X-ray, sonogram, lab facilities, etc. at the medical office, so you can have procedures done there without having to go somewhere else to have blood drawn or images taken. Encompass also has some other medical offices around the metro, and has an after-hours urgent care clinic for evenings and weekends located near 103rd and Wornall, which can save a trip to the emergency room! Dr. Mahon can also be reached by e-mail, and responds promptly, when necessary, which I really appreciate. All in all, if you need a good, caring primary care physician, I can highly recommend him.

If your kids, you, or someone else in your family needs a doctor, this is the place to go to. Because ALL OF THE DOCTORS, NURSES, AND STAFF ARE ALL TOP NOTCH! They are all very professional, yet very down to earth. You ALWAYS get treated nicely, with respect, and they listen to you becuse they are there to help you. They are not a small office with a few people, this place has grown and the doctors, like Dr. Curry, are great. That's why if anyone asks me if I know of some physician who really knows their stuff. I always suggest Dr. Curry or any of the other doctors at Lenexa Family Practice. They are all very knowledgeable and professional and you can't go wrong here.

I have had only exceptional experiences with Dr. Rahto and his team taking great care of my health needs. But yesterday was especially important for me as I came into the office in crisis mode regarding my health issues and how that has/is impacting my job/career, my life, and my future - and they made sure that I was well taken care of and spent the extra time with me in order to do so. They were incredibly professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely compassionate - something that's rare to find these days as most other medical experiences make you feel like just a number. They made me feel like family. Hayley took the extra time and attention to detail to help me fill out medical paperwork and I felt truly cared for and supported every step of the way. She was incredibly patient with me as I asked many questions and knowledgeable in guiding me through it - I appreciate that more than you know. I made an appointment for a simple, specific office procedure. I waited 6 weeks for this…read moreappointment, because only one doctor in the network could do this procedure, and drove 25 miles and 40 minutes to the office. When I arrived I was told that I was scheduled for a physical and I'd have to make an additional appointment for the procedure, when I made the appointment for the procedure specifically in the first place (and was told that it would be 6 weeks). I left because that's absolutely ridiculous. Who would wait 6 weeks for just a physical?!?! Meanwhile, I called my previous primary group (I only switched because of insurance changes) who were able to get me in NEXT WEEK for the procedure. I was not told over the phone that there would be two appointments, I was not told that I couldn't get the procedure done on this appointment or anything like that. When I was there in person I was treated like I was crazy.

Dr. Nazario is one of the best family practice doctors. She is kind, thoughtful, and been there for me during loads of changes in my life, always with great advice. As for this practice, I've had hit or miss with some of the on call practitioners, and the front desk staff. Overall I'd say 9/10 times it's great, but there are off days. I would recommend Dr. Nazario to anyone though that is looking for a really great doc.

I've been coming here to see Dr. Ruiz for a few years. very professional staff. the thing I like…read morebest is that my wait time has always been very short. this team is efficient in getting me an appointment then when I arrive I am in the exam room in a few minutes. while in the exam room I think the longest I had to wait for dr ruiz was 10 minutes. they are also efficient getting my prescriptions filled at my pharmacy.

Dr. Weinhold is one of the few doctors that actually takes the time to listen to her patients concerns unlike most doctors that just go from room to room in a hurry.
