There are ellipticals, treadmills, weight machines, and free weights upstairs, and an additional room with weight machines and free weights downstairs. I've never had to wait to use the equipment, no matter what time I arrive, which is a huge plus. Another benefit is that classes (Zumba, barre, kickboxing, spin) are included in the cost of membership. I haven't seen that many other places. Costs are very reasonable. The only downsides are somewhat limited hours. The gym is open until 10 on weekdays and 7 Saturdays and Sundays. If you're looking for a 24 hour gym with 100's of classes, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a small gym with all the necessities and a few frills, a great, caring staff, and a decent price, Murray Hill is the gym for you! I highly recommend giving it a try.

Group lessons are much cheaper ...call ahead for the rates. The pros are really friendly here. You can play on the courts for a fee. Again call ahead for prices, they vary depending on the time of day/night. You can even rent a ball machine to practice your strokes. That is $10 an hour. On certain nights of the week they have round robin and mixed doubles. If you're a beginner, my suggestion is to take some lessons and spend the bucks if you wanna get good. In the late fall the courts are covered with a bubble so you can play in the winter, then they are taken down around Memorial Day.

I have only come here for Penny Jung's Tennis parties on Friday nights from 8pm-12am. You are guaranteed 3 hours of doubles play (sometimes singles when it gets late and people leave) all for $40 and food!! Usually pizza and drinks at this location. The courts are very clean and the lighting is quite good! My small gripe is that the court is not very wide so a nice cross court top spin will run you into the netting!!
