My mother died in October 2023. Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home took care of everything. They were perfect: easy to deal with, kind, gentle, competent, flexible, and all that. They weren't even expensive. They hosted the memorial service for my mother in their facility, and it went just the way people wanted. I doubt that anyone is going to do comparison shopping of funeral homes at the time that they need one, but if you did compare, I know you'd end up with these folks.

Families pay a large sum of money in making arrangements for the care for their loved ones and should expect the funeral director to greet people at the door and be present and visible at all times. No one is comfortable attending a funeral, but they do expect some guidance from a funeral director or staff member to direct them to appropriate seating without infringing on where the family sits. We sat in the rear of the room so as to not violate the family's space but soon found out that nonfamily attendees simply sat wherever they wanted, in areas that should have been reserved. Many family members were not seated at all, especially the many grandchildren and great grandchildren who stood against the wall in the rear of the room where the service was being held. Some of us gave up our seats and seated ourselves in another room but it was so limited [6 seats] many still had to stand. Where were the fold-up chairs? Why did the funeral director allow this to happen? Not only is the funeral home negligent in seating people in an appropriate area but I have always found Buckminster Chapel to not keep up to the standards of the funeral industry as other funeral homes who provide a more superior service to its families and a more up-to-date interior. If I could give Buckminster Chapel zero stars I would.

My father…read morepassed in February 2020, my mother in May 2022 and Phaneuf handled the arrangements; both were veterans. It was a very difficult time and the staff at Phaneuf were kind, courteous and compassionate. We primarily worked with Aaron and Mark and I can't speak highly enough of them. Again, the compassion they showed to me and my family throughout was more than I imagined. And exceedingly genuine. Their communication was exceptional, guiding us through the process with care. They followed up with me a few weeks later, after both services again expressing their condolences. Thank Phaneuf, for taking such great care of my parents and my family.

The staff there is TERRIFIC! Paul Remick is a caring individual and very personable. He was very patient and kind as I conveyed actually what I wanted--always paying attention to detail. His assistance and guidance was most beneficial and there was a lot to consider. I did not want anyone making decisions for me and his expertise gave me Peace-Of-Mind----as I wanted to make my final wishes known, Jeff, Jack and all of the gentlemen there are one of a kind. Their reputation, trust, sincerity and quality of character made a task that I wanted done but hesitant to take care of very pleasant. THEY'RE the BEST!!

We have several family members currently residing in this cemetery with at least one more plot…read morewaiting for it's occupant. Kind of morbid perhaps, but that is the way of life isn't it. The cemetery was named in 1895, but has been operating before that time. Maintained by the city of Nashua, the cemetery is open to all faiths with perpetual lawn care plus annual garden plantings. A mausoleum is on site. Our graveside services were delayed as some of the guests did not arrive at the appointed time. The staff, standing by to complete the burial, were extremely patient with our group and allowed us time to gather after the graveside services without a word even though we were definitely holding them up! The grounds are quite lovely with many mature trees and some families have left personal mementos grave side including balloons, toys and flags.
