I am disappointed with the overall experience with FAS.I ordered my windows in October of 2021 and I had to follow up with them to get an install date which happened in May. I was told it would take 5 days for the installation it took 30days and i had windows that came with broken glass, picture window that came with a bad gasket. I was sold double hung windows when I didn't need them. I ant to have something better to say but unfortunately the experience has not been good overall and I really would not recommend them for a job. at this point the windows are still not completed, inspection has not been done and there are details still not completed. It will be a year in October, i think this is pretty ridiculous. I am considering taking legal action at this point and i never write reviews, but I have no idea what else to do at this point. I have emailed this company, I called and left messages, next step would be to actually visit the show room in winter park to see if i get some answers. read more

We ordered our sliding door July 24, 2018 and as of today November 14th the door is not 100% completed. I am very frustrated with FAS, I have been lied to several times, they tell you one thing and do nothing and no communication. I will never purchase from them nor recommend FAS. read more

Had FAS replace all 18 windows and one patio door. They did an excellent job, good pricing, cleaned up when they were done, and checked to make sure we were satisfied. We are very pleased with the work performed and the windows installed. read more

When I was looking to put new windows in my home, I found no companies that had great ratings. I chose FAS because their reviews seemed not as bad as some of the other companies. But their reviews were not great either. Lessons learned here - bad is bad. I ordered my windows in October of 2020. I knew at that time it would be January 15,, 2021 before the 2 sets of sliders and 4 windows arrived. So the week of January 15 they came out to install them only to find out that someone in the office changed the measurements on one of the sets of sliders and so the wrong doors were delivered. Now I waited over 15 weeks for these doors. After the sales call they sent a production person out to get the exact measurements. You would think they would have some type of pull to get a rush order for these doors. In the meantime, while waiting for the second set of doors we noticed the one set that was installed had marks all over the glass on the inside and couldn't be cleaned. When we told FAS they said they would have to order new glass. Another 15-week order!!! Melissa was my Project Manager. She was useless. She never picked up the phone and never returned my calls. The new 2nd set of doors were not installed till mid-May. When the first set of doors were installed, they had to change the inside moldings around the doors by going to Home Depot to pick some up, because they don't have it on the truck. I told Melissa to make sure they picked up the same molding before they came with the second door. She had me send her pictures of the molding. On installation day of the new set of doors they were to arrive between 8-9 am. They arrived at 10:30 to remove the old door but the doors did not arrive with the other driver till 1:30. When I asked about the molding I was told "Oh, no one told us that." So, they had to go to Home Depot. Then they didn't have caulk and had to wait for the next guy to get there. Shouldn't window guys have caulking on the truck? Then they realized they didn't have penny nails for the molding and had to go to Home Depot yet again!! There is no communication within the company and little to no communication once you place your order. After the first install, I asked for compensation for my trouble since it was their fault. They said they wouldn't even discuss it till the job was complete. Really? At that point they have you over a barrel and you are at their mercy. They ended up giving me 10% off my remaining balance but the aggravation they put me through was not worth it. After the install was completed they had to come out 3 more times to fix the sliders because they leaked water around them. Buyer beware before doing business with FAS. read more

NEVER NEVER will we do business with FAS again. Four months ago --yes, FOUR MONTHS--- we ordered a beautiful replacement front door. Was told it would take a few weeks to come from manufacturer, fine we understand. Door installation began about 4 weeks later but parts had to be left unfinished for inspection, again fine we understand. However, now it's been 2 more months, repeated phone calls to FAS, guy has come out to finish installation twice and not had all the parts he needed. Many calls to FAS for resolution, including once when my husband asked to speak to a manager and was told "No"!!!! Called again to FAS today; response that the part "may" be in sometime next week. This door cost more money than my first car!!! But even if it was inexpensive, I would have expected much better customer service. Obviously, we will never do business with FAS again!!! read more

Horribly run company! From A to Z everything was a hassle. The turnover time for my window/door took longer then told. Installation was a hassle as we scheduled the date and they cancelled twice. And the work was questionable. The most frustrating part was a woman named Tammy was suppose to contact me for scheduling installation and after for final inspection. I never once heard from a Tammy or anyone. I called her multiple times and left so many messages and she never had the courtesy to call me back. I reverted to calling original salesman to get install appointment and permit info. So unprofessional. They couldn't even get my husbands name in the system correct after I asked them to fix it multiple times with multiple different people. I would never refer this company to anyone! read more

Started Process of getting new windows around 6 months ago (End of Feb 2019). I worked with Steve as a sales rep and he seemed to be knowledgeable and wasnt the normal pushy salesman. I shopped around and FAS was the most expensive company of the 4 I looked into. I ended up going with them thinking i was getting a highly reputable company that would be there to stand behind their lifetime warranty. One of the biggest selling points was the Laminate option. The Windows were ordered and came in as expected (around 7-8 weeks). I scheduled the install and they had Omar (sub Contractor ) come and install the next week. He did a good job with the install and listened and addressed my concerns. My issues started when i realized 4 of the windows didnt match what I expected. The U-factors were off. It took several phone calls to try to get a hold of someone and i finally got a call back from Tammy. After that call I didnt hear anything for over a week. I couldnt get back into contact with Tammy, Tried contacting Terry (director of installation) and was never able to get a hold of him either. I get a call back a few days later letting me know Terry is no longer with the company and the correct windows were ordered. I wait another 4 weeks or so for the replacement windows. I am told replacement windows from Simonton do not come with the NFRC stickers. So my issue was how do i even verify i am getting what i paid for or if its even right. After working with Jade, she was able to forward the PO from Simonton that also matched the PO and bar code on the new windows. I could verify the U-Factors meet my expectations, however I learned that the replacement windows aren't laminate. So now they have to reorder all 8 sashes. I wait another 4-5 weeks for them to come back out and install the correct windows. Well I think they finally got 6 out of 8 right, but two are the incorrect size, so I am sure it will be another 4-5 weeks to get those in. In addition there hasn't been any additional follow up, I haven't received the PO invoice (as promised by several people) for this last round of replacements to verify 100% the 6 they put in are correct. My advice to you is don't spend the extra money with this company thinking there is extra quality or support. Might as well go the better priced option because it wont matter in the end. read more

Great experience. So glad we got them done by FAS. The team was on time, fast and courteous. They answered all calls quickly and even called back weeks after the installation to make sure we were happy and everything was good. The county inspector made the comment that they do good work, when he was here to do the inspection. We had the original old aluminum windows and we heard everything outside. Now we don't even hear the disel truck down the road. Love my new windows! read more

Tried to get an estimate and they refused to come to my home unless my husband was present. This insinuates that I am incapable of describing our needs or making decisions. This is "their policy" which means they aren't a company I would want to do business with if this is how they treat people. I have other bids and happen to know exactly what we want which is close to 30 new windows and new exterior and interior doors. Their loss but people should know how this group operates. I am hoping this rating will change, but as of now we are very frustrated and dissatisfied with our experience. We placed our order in the beginning of June 2016 (giving a 50% deposit) and then had the final measure completed on 6/15/16, being told it will take 6-8 weeks to get Windows and doors in. We just found out (after OUR repeated attempts for updates) they are hoping to get the order in the week of September 12-16. We are looking at twice the amount of time that we were initially told. Which we understand is out of their control, but either they should be aware and able to give customers a realistic timeline or if they are aware need to communicate with their customers. They were the highest bid of the estimates we received, but we chose to go with them due to high rating on BBB (and others) as well as the warranty. We are now feeling like that was a mistake. The lack of communication has been the most frustrating part of the experience. As well as our entire project is contingent on the Windows being installed. So we have multiple vendors on hold until this is finished, and it would have been nice (professional) to give us a realistic timeline so we could have planned accordingly. Hoping something can make us feel better about spending more to go with this company. read more

Just had a fiberglass front door installed. Excellent installation, and the door looks fantastic. It is better than I expected. My only frustration is that I was told that the door would be installed six weeks after it was ordered, and it wasn't installed until eight weeks. That aside, I will absolutely order future doors, and have all new windows installed using this company. read more
