I'm honestly shocked this place has any good reviews. It was so dirty and all the toys and displays were old and dingy. In the toddler room, all the plastic toys had no batteries. Everything looked dirty and ancient. The reading area was so dingy my friend said "looks like we are about to get bed bugs." There was a school group absolutely destroying the place when we arrived in the display areas. Not a single item was where it belonged (all the food in the grocery area, the mail in the mail area, etc was wrecked). The children were running completely wild with zero supervision while the few chaperones stood in a different room and didn't put a single thing back where it belonged. I can't believe I paid $20 for this and our kids didn't really enjoy it. My toddler who barely talks said "messy, clean up." The hand sanitizers didn't have actual canisters of hand sanitizer, they were empty. Good thing I brought my own. Place looked like a germ factory. Go to Marbles or Rockingham for a good children's play space/museum. read more

Street parking was easy to find & only costs $1 per hour. We went on a Wednesday afternoon when the museum cost was an optional donation only so the cost of our visit was whatever I wanted it to be! I feel like this museum is very well kept & clean. We will be back! read more

A good museum for little ones. There are 20(?) different areas ranging from farm, grocery, doctor, police, firefighters, news, and other small stations. The bathrooms are clean and for $4 for kids and $3 for parents, it's a great deal. You do need to park on the road and crossing the street is precarious. My 3 year old would play for hours on the vehicles, but not sure if an older kid would enjoy as much. The stations are simple and good for young audiences. It's basically one floor of an old court house (?), so not very big. read more

Not a very big museum but it has enough to really keep a toddler entertained. I really liked the "babies' room" in the back. This is a gerat kids museum!! Don't expect alot of high-tech stuff here, but rather a lot of pretend play that introduces kids to all kinds of careers and daily life for adults through a kid-sized town that includes everything from doctor's/dentist's office, too emergency vehicles and firehouse, to weather channel filming, to construction areas, bank, grocery store, post office, and on and on... I like the low-techiness about it, because it lets even the youngest kids explore life on their own without having to push a button to hear an explanation for every little thing. We stopped by Fascinate-U Children's Museum today and I'm happy to say that my child LOVED it! The museum is set up like a small town in which children are given the opportunity to imagine themselves in all sorts of roles. The decor is fun, inviting, and interactive. Additionally, the sets have an abundance of props and toys for the children to utilize while bringing their imaginations to life. Even better, the museum holds regularly scheduled events for all ages, so don't forget to grab a monthly calendar and find something for every little one in your family. This is an amazing place for children to exercise their imagination while learning new things. I would definitely recommend this place.

Has potential but needs a good solid cleaning - especially the grocery area - concerning was the food cans were actual cans that had been cleaned and sharp edges taped over. Not worth the $3 sadly. The name is an irony to the boredom of this place to any kids over age 5. There are only dress up stations for pretend play. I can't imagine how they call it a museum. It took my 8 year old 5 minutes to run through. There is a special ops museum 5 minutes away that is far better. "Meh. I've experienced better." is the best way to say it. I would have given it 3 stars, but it's definitely not up to a rating of "A-OK". For the downtown and likely average populace of Fayetteville, this place is 5 stars. For anyone used to a real "museum", you're probably going to be disappointed. For those able to see things through the eyes of an imaginative 2-5 year old, it's probably an 11 out of 5. The quality of 80% of the materials is fair-to-poor. Everything durable is in great shape: the wood blocks, the solid pieces of plastic food, the real metal cooking tools. Everything else is sorely in disrepair: almost all electronics, most of the paper/cardboard items, and even some of the painted items are worn out. Literally: light bulbs falling out, things no longer connected, etc. I recommend watching your little ones to keep them away from items of questionable state. However, if you can keep the little balls of energy in the durable zone, then they'll have a BLAST! The shopping store is really beat up, but very diverse - they take donations of all types of "buyable" items and reuse them in the store. The kitchen zone is really ... random. But the little ones can cook broccoli with a chicken wing on a fake tiny stove that they took out of the child-sized dorm refrigerator. And they can do it on their own. It's a bummer, but a predicable bummer - this is, after all, Fayetteville, NC. Almost everything military-related seems to be on some pedestal, while the common populace (if not affiliated with the military) doesn't really get funded, unless they can grab something from a military-affiliated individual or resource. Also of note: the prices for admission seem to have gone down over the years (compare older reviews to more recent ones), and it's a logical progression. Bottom line: this place is old. It's not the best. It's likely underfunded, and you aren't going to get the best experience for the cheapest price ... unless someone else is paying for it - and then it's not the cheapest price, the price is just borne by someone else. If you can be slightly vigilant over your little one (which you darn well better be, in Fayetteville), and guide them (which you also darn well should be if you're their parent!), then you can have a good time at this place probably up until age 6. Over 6 years old, you might get an hour out of this place, if the child is creative. If not, try just running around at a nearby park. There's several within less than ten minutes' drive. Try Clark Park and their trails to burn off some energy. read more

It's a smaller children's museum but still fun. They have a lot of interactive exhibits and it is well maintained. I only give 4/5 because most museums like this have "sanitizer bins" and also employees who walk around cleaning the areas. While we were there I never saw anything sanitized. Pretty cool place to bring the kiddos out to when you have the time. The whole first floor of the building is laid out with all sorts of interactive exhibits for kids to play with. Everything form an army fort, TV station, electricity exhibit, to a dentists office, grocery store, and a fake cow you can milk. I don't think they run it all the time, but we came on a Saturday and at noon they opened the third floor up where there is a huge model train exhibit. Not the most exciting place in the world, but certainly worth checking out if you live in the Fayetteville area. The main thing I would recommend the facility do is upgrade/modernize some of the exhibits as a few of them tend to be pretty dated. With $4 for kids and $3 for adults, the cost of admission was very reasonable for what you get to experience. read more

Overpriced for what is there. Toys are old and very worn. Many of the exhibits are broken, in a state of disrepair, and dirty. The train on the 3rd floor is the only thing worth coming for and it is only open twice a month. The other problem with this place is the low quality of employees. Ok so first off I have to say they should call this an indoor playground or educational playground. People are upset they are calling themselves a "museum" and they aren't. They are a indoor playground with educational things for kids to do. It's very low tech which I love for kids. They have to use their imagination and that is great. Some of the stuff is broken, dated or just old. Some of the stuff has seen better days or decades. I think anyone over 8 would be bored in about 10 mins. Our grandson is 5 and he had plenty to do and play with. I would say you can expect to stay and hour or so. Your spending $3 so it's a good price for what you get. I wish they would fix and replace some of the broken stuff because it just looks bad. I would bring him back here it was worth it despite its problrms. read more

We have gone to this museum several times in the past few years we've lived here in Fayetteville and hardly nothing has changed in it. The museum is dated, and missing lots of pieces, parts are broken. (given its a kids museum so I am sure that's common, but FIXABLE) They updated I think two new things since our recent visit earlier this year. Its frustrating to have a such a good potential museum and yet watch it never change, or grow to be better. The positive is that it isn't very expensive, but that does show in the quality. We spent about two hours with our grandchildren - ages 6, 8, 10. The exhibits are low tech plywood mock-ups about grown-up experiences and jobs: fire station, fire gear, fire pole, fire truck, ambulance, police car, bus, truck, farm, post office, court room, grocery store. There were costumes unique to each location. We paid $4 per child and $3 per adult. Our 10-year-old seemed quickly jaded but enjoyed an exhibit about gear wheels. read more
