All the reviews I read noted it wasn't spooky so we went for it and I'm so glad we did! The meeting spot was easy to find. Our tour guide was Ashley. She was phenomenal. She was great with the kids and kept them engaged. She told us all kinds of things about the history of New Orleans especially Jackson Square. I thoroughly enjoyed the information! The tour was a little short of two hours and the time flies by. Nothing was scary that was shared other than light ghost debauchery. Nothing gory was shared and vocabulary was carefully chosen. Parents learned of stories that they could google later for the information. I highly recommend this tour if you're on the fence! You can tip with cash at the end or use the Venmo QR code if you don't have cash.

I'm in town for a forensics conference and when I registered, I paid for two spots on the Unique NOLA True Crime Tour that was scheduled for Sunday. My fiancé and I ended up booking a later flight and would not be able to make the Sunday tour, so I called ahead to see if we could be rescheduled. Chris answered the phone and fixed us up without issue; we'd be on the 7pm tour the following day. Carlo texted the group ahead of time as a reminder with the address we would meet him at. At first we were concerned that maybe the tour would cover all the same spots as the usual ghost and vampire tours--my fiancé called that hypothetical "same tour, different flavor"--but I am happy to report that there was only one stop that we had seen before, and Carlo actually mentioned that it's the most famous stop and that it's featured in the other tours. He offered to take us to a different stop instead, but one of our group members was looking forward to seeing the famous one so we did that (you know the one, from AHS). But even there, Carlo stuck to the facts of previous owners of the house, and he told us specifically when an element here or there was a local tale of haunting. All throughout the tour, Carlo was informative, comedic, and didn't claim to know more than he does. We love a factual, history-based tour! At the end, Carlo gave us Mardi Gras tips and directions back to the places we were trying to get to. He grew up in New Orleans, and he's dabbled in a wide range of jobs, so he really knows his stuff. We appreciated every bit of the tour, and would definitely book with them for another tour in the future.

We opted for the 6:00 a.m. tour so we got to see the sun come up and the city wake up. I love running in new cities because you see things from an entirely different perspective! The pace was moderate, I stopped my Garmin when we stopped at a landmark, and I had our running pace at a little under 12:00 minute mile. I typically run a little faster but not being used to the humidity, I was glad for a slower pace to be able to enjoy the run. This tour was the perfect way to start our trip to orient ourselves to the city and make room for all the delicious food we were going to eat!

I'm not a huge runner so I was a little afraid of doing a 10K without "training" much but honestly I didn't even really feel the distance until we finished, mostly due to the fact that our discussion and Marcus was so engaging and informative. The pace was moderate but certainly not intense and we stopped and talked enough that even modest runners can do this trip. Marcus took us all around the French Quarter, the Garden District, a historic cemetery and other neighborhoods and had answers to literally every question we could think to ask. He knew history and landmarks and didn't shy away from talking in detail about the checkered past of New Orleans... prostitution, slavery and the like. We finished the tour after 90 minutes feeling like we had a great overview of the city's attractions and landmarks and could now decide what else to explore during the rest of our trip. Guy illustrated his talk with a variety of visuals including the people, the designs, the styles and maps. It was easy to make connections. He gave us a history of the people who occupied the French Quarter over time, the fires and flooding that jeopardized or didn't jeopardize this area and most importantly who saved it from demolition. We opted for 2 days of photography and her "green screen" selfie station. The price was reasonable and fair and I was delighted to have the contract signed. Why Yvette from the three finalists chosen for the contract? Quite simply, I found her images stunning! Once onsite Yvette and her team were prompt, professional, communicative, and they worked constantly! They were not a passive "let's see who comes up to us for a photograph" team, they were engaging and fun! They reached out to my event attendees (about 380) and made them smile, feel comfortable, and enjoy having photographs taken. My attendees LOVED Yvette and her team and yours will, too! Yvette's "eye" for composition is awe-inspiring. She captured the depth and breadth of breathtaking rooms while sharing the human element and emotion of the moment with each photo. The photos are the absolute best I have yet seen in 5 years of executing on a particular event. She did this multiple times for guests even though we did not have portrait photography on our contract.
