My friend says to me the other day, 'Have you been to Fast Eddie's?' . I said no, because I haven't. So we went. I've been in London for 5 years and it was time to try it. Fast Eddie's is good for fast food, quickly. They have no eat in restaurants, only walk up windows or a drive-thru, and since we were walking, we walked up to the window and ordered. They have a specialty menu and their regular menu. I ordered a chicken burger with fries and a pop. Ordered that and it came out in about less than 10 minutes after I ordered it. The service was standard, quick, to the point, no conversation, just can I take your order and get your food and go. We sat outside at one of the two picnic tables in the hot hot heat and ate our food. The chicken burger was your standard deep fried on a bun with lettuce and mayo. I don't like fries, so I didn't eat them, but they came with my meal, and the pop was Pepsi. Eddie lives in a shack. Tiny place for tiny priced fast food. This was my very first visit to any Fast Eddie's because I finally succumbed to my curiosity. I ordered a strawberry shake and a double cheeseburger. You will see my order is missing fries, crazy or otherwise. How silly of me! Luckily, my burger & shake was tasty enough that I would consider another stop sometime. The burger was a sufficient size for the price, same as a McDouble would be, with a signature taste. A nice char? Seasoning? Something was unique about the meat. The pickles were nice, too. The shake had a bit more artificial taste than I'd like, but not bad overall. It tasted pretty decent, nothing too fancy but great for the price. Great value for food, quick service. Haven't been to fast eddie's in a long time. I used to grab their burger club burgers at great prices back in the day. I decided to try them again and I'm glad I did. I got their extreme quarter pounder and it tasted alot like a whopper. I was surprised to see the fresh tomato and onion. Inside the box the burger looked great. The kid who made it didn't just throw it together. It looks as if they took pride I it's construction. Who goes to fast eddie's for the burgers though? The crazy fries are what draws you in. Fast Eddie's is one of the almost inexpensive burger joint in town. If you're on a tight budget, this is a great place for you. I remember back in the days when I was attending high school down the road (John Paul II Secondary School), my friends and I would frequent Fast Eddie's every Tuesday for it's 39 cents a burger deals. We would ordered 10 burgers each and see who can eat the most and what's left over we would chucked it at each other and the cars that passed by. Today, much like a lot of things the days of the 39 cents deals are long gone and the prices of the burgers has also increased. But every time I'm there it brings back a lot of good memories. Fast Eddie's is not the best place to come if you want quality food, but it's still good I guess, lol. Not a big fan of the burgers here but they are pretty cheap (Although they have increased in price over the years, so much so that they are now almost the same price as McDonald's). They also seem to take a long time to cook the food, Maybe because they usually only have one or two people working there, I dunno. Anyways the Crazy Fries are by far the best thing here, so if you do stop by, make sure you get them! I love the dill pickle fries, I order often through Uber eats. At night commonly when I order the dill pickle seasoning is frequently not even on the fries, they send it in a side container. So then I have to get a large bowl put the bucket of fries in and manually have to meet x them for several minutes to mix it properly. They frequently put several things in my order that I did not order. Like containers of ground hamburger sauce and a several containers of natcho cheese. One time I had 9 containers of crap in one order of what they call party size fries. My wife is a vegan and my sister cannot eat dairy ( the cheese) so it kinda of revolts them. There so called party size fries is like 1 large McDonald's fries and 1 medium. And they charge $10.00 for the fries. I have tried to call to complain. I called during day and night. After 2 weeks and 27 attempts I finally got someone to answer the phone. He told me that he has instructed his staff to NOT answer the phone. What kinda customer service is that ? After several orders messed up the manager sent me a free french fry. WOW. I will never order from them again. Today I decided to get Fast Eddie's for lunch. I ordered a Party Sized CrazyFries, a BLT Burger and an Iced Tea. The iced tea was good. It tasted like a normal iced tea. The CrazyFries were delicious as always. They never fail to deliver. I did have an issue with the BLT Burger. Although I knew the burger was going to be standard, I was a little disappointed by the bacon. It was like a pile of bacon bits as apposed to actual bacon. Start with the rude service from the woman at the walk up window. Not sure what her problem was that day but not a great first impression. The burgers have paper thin patties. The only place I've seen thinner patties is at McD. The "bacon" seems to be bacon bits sprinkled over the top of the burger and it makes for a very salty tasting burger. You don't need to read a review to know what to expect. It is a small fast food place and unless you want food poisoning stay away! You are better off going to McDonalds than Fast Eddie's. Food is tasteless and poorly cooked, it is almost free but I imagine that is the only way they can sell any of it. read more
