My review is that of a total horse novice. I admit to almost no knowledge of them (I have ridden a few times, but...). What I can talk about here is the owner, and I can attest to her expertise and passion for the horses she takes care of. I don't know if there are any farms that are better, but Heidi is a pro and has forgotten more about taking proper care of horses than most people will ever learn. I started going to FFF about nine months ago and I came in knowing nothing about English riding. I've rode plenty of times before competed but that was with all western and rodeos. Coming here Heidi and her amazing horses have taught me more than I ever expected to learn in this amount of time. She truly is an amazing teacher and breaks things down in a way that you can understand them and understand why your doing what your doing, not just for you but for the horse too. I've been to a few of the barns in this area in the 4 + years that I've been down here and none of them compare to FFF. There isn't any barn drama ( and I've recently brought one of my horses down here to board at FFF too, with the help of Heidi) and the environment is always friendly. I don't have to worry if my horse is going to be well taken care of or if he's getting fed. I would highly recommend coming to FFF for your equine fix and get to know some of the awesome horses she has available to ride. read more

I have been riding for 15 years. Heidi is a great instructor who has such a heart for her horses and her students. i have never seen anyone go out of their way for people as much as heidi does especially after being screwed over so often .i moved away and miss this barn more than you imagine. She has great horses of all levels amazing arenas which are lit by the way. Def best place in onslow county read more

The owner is unprofessional and unorganized. She has too many horses and not enough land for the amount of horses. I think her heart is in the right place, kind of. Her prices aren't competitive. She doesn't do paper contracts, so it's all word of mouth, which is never a good idea. She needs a full time staff for the number of horses she has, she cannot do it alone and in the end the horses aren't getting enough exercise. read more

Beware of this place. Very bad care given to boarder horses. Owner has horrible business etiquette. Not fed and cared for as promised. This has happened to MANY MANY people. Take time to research this place, before you go here. read more
