Walked in at 2:45. There was a woman coming from behind the desk looking hurried and frustrated. I asked for a smog. She said I'm doing my last car, we close at 3. I said oh, Yelp says you close at 4. She turned, walked away saying yeah, well Yelp is wrong. and said nothing more. Just left me standing there. Very rude and unprofessional. I get in my car, look up another smog shop, drove further down McHenry to McHenry Smog Center. Customer service was exceptional!! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I walked in they had about 3 cars they were working on and I wasn't in a rush or anything, however when I went to ask an attendant for pricing he ignored me, leaving me in the office for a good 10-15 minutes. When he finally got back to me he was extremely rude and immediately said "we're busy" when they were clearly not...I get people get frustrated especially on Mondays, but I was just looking for help with pricing, and the attitude was not needed at all. Overall very unprofessional and they obviously don't want your business as it's a nuisance to them. I ended up going down the street to Valvoline instant oil change and they were fast, attentive, and honest! And they had good prices as well!!! read more

Went in for an oil change last week ..... Very fast (maybe 10 minuets). No hard up-sell pitch. Reasonable price at $34 for my Toyota. They checked all the fluid levels and added where needed without charging extra! Checked the air filter and said it was still good (most places get me with that one). Very small, looks family owned, and clean for a mechanic shop. read more

I called in this morning to inquire about the price of their high mileage oil change and was pleasantly surprised to be quoted about 46 dollars compared to others nearby of 50 and up plus tax. When I finally arrived I was greeted at the entrance and told to go inside while they worked on my car. I took my 5 yrs old with me and there were plenty of toys for him to play with. The bathroom smelled great lol I appreciate that! I talked with the friendly lady up front (so sorry I forgot to ask her name) and I mentioned that we just drove down from TN because my husband was in the Army and that qualified us for a discount. I surely appreciated that and will definitely become a regular customer. They did not try to up sell me anything and they even helped out by cleaning off some corrosion on my battery terminal. If there would have been more cars to service I would not have minded having to wait longer but the service was actually really fast. Thanks so much Fast Lube! read more

Been here plenty of times to get oil changes. We have always received fast, friendly service. I love that a woman does the oil changes too! She also goes over everything with you when she's done and gives you a heads up if certain things need to be checked, etc. We always come as walk-ins and we are always in and out of there fast. I have been going to fast lube for at least 15 years now. The 1st thing I noticed when I had the initial oil change is they never never try and sell you extras or things you don't need. They are always honest and do very good work. The other oil change places in the area will almost always try and sell you things you don't need. If you are looking for a good oil change at a reasonable price performed by seasoned professionals then this is the place to go. I have friends that live in the bay area and when they come out to visit me they get their oil changed at Fast Lube because they know it will be done right and they wont get pressured to buy extras that are not needed. The owners are the people working on your car - not some minimum wage rookie. Sure maybe sometimes it takes more than 30 minutes but some things are worth waiting for.
