To start off I wish there was such thing as a 0 star review. This is quite possible the worst urgent care I have ever been to in my entire life. I was diagnosed with flu and was given prescriptions to pick up. No only did they forget to send them in but when they did it was the wrong ones. When I went in I was turned away saying they weren't seeing anymore people today. I submitted an excellent review in Feb. 2023 regarding my experience with Medical Examiner Joseph Guthrie and I still stand by that review. However, STEER CLEAR of Medical Examiner, DAVID HERRING. He is cocky and arrogant. Im not sure which but he either doesn't know what he is doing or he abuses his position/control. Sending an assistant to speak on your behalf isn't very smart because she pretty much told me that you don't know DOT regulations. I now know the meaning of DOC-IN-A-BOX. Specimens are picked up every afternoon. FALSE. I confirmed this by calling the MRO then the actual lab. The lab received my specimen 4 days later. This is delaying me from working and they couldn't care less. The ONLY pleasant part of this experience were the ladies at the front desk. read more

Went in just for a prescription. Already knew what I needed staff was helpful and very polite only complaint is the wait time. Other than that I would recommend to anyone that just has simple needs that have to be met that day. The waiting room was spacious and clean and so was the rest of the facility. read more

The initial check in was fine for my visit. However I am very disappointed with the PA. I have severe throat pain, haven't ate in 4 days, and have difficulty swallowing. I've had cold chills, a fever and night sweats. The PA completed the culture for Strep, however it was negative. She prescribed me mouthwash to help my throat, which hasn't helped at all. I still cannot swallow. After pleading with the PA, visibly crying because I feel so awful and want some sort of medicine for relief, she declined and said to take Tylenol. I spent $100 on a copay and I feel worse by the hour. I will never use this location again. read more

My recent experience at this urgent care facility was quite disappointing. I was attended by Thomas, a PA, who from the get-go, displayed uncalled for condescension towards me. I had come in seeking treatment for a suspected sinus infection, and instead of listening to me, he immediately started interrogating me on what I had done to treat myself. I explained to him that I eat healthily and take vitamins daily to help boost my immune system. Unfortunately, I am unable to take most common cold/flu medication because it clashes with my daily Zoloft medication. Thomas didn't believe me and went ahead to dismiss the possibility, leaving me quite frustrated and concerned. I went ahead to explain how I had experienced Serotonin syndrome twice after taking Nyquil and Robitussin, which Thomas, surprisingly, said he had never heard of before, which I found quite alarming, considering his position as a doctor. I couldn't believe that a simple Google search would confirm the existence of this condition. He went on to suggest that if I was hesitant about taking cold medication, why would I be okay with taking antibiotics - I said "because antibiotics don't interfere with my daily medication like cold and flu meds do" and seemed to contradict himself multiple times and doubt my primary doctor and psychiatrist. he then went on to rant to me about my generation and how we don't take proper care of ourselves and said "good luck when your 40"- because I guess he thought I was not doing enough to take care of myself? Lastly the nurse was also very unpleasant and rude. I started crying in the office. I will NEVER go back here. Anyone I know who has been here has said the same thing. read more

Would give a zero but not possible. This started as a telemedicine call but after 15 seconds the guy told me I would have to come in. Called and they said they would see me at 4:45. When I got there the guy at the counter was more interested in playing on his phone than waiting on anyone. I finally got checked I and was there another 2 hours then someone ran thru the front window. I got a text at 8pm wanted to know if I was going to make my 4:30 appointment. I realize with staffing shortages things may not be timely however the non caring attitude and rudeness there is no excuse for. While I was trying to get processed for my appt my insurance was not showing up in FastMed system for some odd reason ; it was showing that it was active but no further info would show so the receptionist at the time (Kiara) was being extremely rude about it all & wasn't really trying to do much to help especially speaking that the issue at that point was well out of my hands . She proceeded to tell me that i just need to pay $120 for copay because she "feels" like i haven't met my deductible yet but come to find out my copay was actually $50.. Kiara the whole time had a disgraceful attitude especially speaking that she's at work representing FastMed, it's almost as if she didn't wanna be there or have to do too much to assist me.. instead of asking her other colleagues or supervisor for more help or understanding she sat there with the most disgusting attitude & demeanor (bobbing her head around , rolling eyes , face bawled up, raising her voice) purposely not trying to further investigate the issue & telling me it's nothing she could do . When i suggested to her to call the insurance to possibly verify she said no one was picking up & she's not trying again so i had to actually call them & get someone on the phone so my info could be processed correctly. In the moment that i was suggesting to her to call my insurance again she was bobbing her head around & speak to me in this aggressive tone so i said something to her about it which of course led to a verbal altercation & she proceeded to call me out my name multiple times to the point where her fellow colleagues had to actually come & remove her from the front desk to the back all because of the way she was carrying herself as a receptionist for FastMed .. even after she was removed she proceeded to walk back up to the front desk to get her phone , when a colleague told her to come back to the back she proceeded to say loudly " I'm just getting my phone that bi**h ain't gon do sh*t to me" .. everyone else that i worked with today was beyond a absolute pleasure but Kiara gave me the most distasteful experience today that I've ever had at a FastMed. Hopefully no one else ever has to experience that type of customer service that Kiara gave especially when your health isn't doing the best at the time. read more

FastMed is my go to whenever I cannot see my provider fast enough. The customer service is pristine. I am always greeted by Tracey, Savanna, or Emanuel and they are always helpful. Shandra was my nurse on 5/27/21, she is very kind and knowledgeable. I saw Doctor Marie, I had an abnormal X-Ray, so she referred me to an Orthopedic. She has a comforting spirit, she listened to my symptoms, made an assessment and directed me to the proper treatment. They get the appointment done fast yet gentle, and help you with your concerns. Waiting for my appointment in the lobby is never fun, but with that said I have had to wait just as long if not longer in other practices that aren't walk in welcoming. No parent ever looks forward to having to take their kid to a medical/healthcare facility for anything other than a scheduled appointment. That being said, sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do, and so off we went this afternoon after my 3-year old son fell and had a cut that looked deep enough that I thought it might need stitches. Now that we're all settled down from what happened, I have to really tip my cap to FastMed Urgent Care. This was the 4th different urgent care facility I've been to in town, and this was by far the best such experience. Unlike other places, the lobby wasn't bland and it was a pleasant waiting room. Receptionist was friendly and service was prompt, the medical assistant who attended to Joseph first was friendly and related well to my son (remember - he's only 3 and all he knew was that he had a big bleeding owie on his head). The nurse practitioner who treated him did a great job of clearly explaining what he was going to do and had good bedside manner. My son was relaxed up until it was time to put the staples in his head. Naturally he cried, but he was over it within seconds, and from knowing how my son interacts in new/strange settings, a lot of that goes down to the friendly manner of the staff. Burlingtonians, I know it's not located in the most convenient place to get in or out of in town, what with the intersection of two of the busiest streets in town, but if you ever need an Urgent Care facility, I HIGHLY recommend them. Yeah, I sound like I'm being paid for this, but I'm really not. Funny story: I had completely forgotten that a collegemate of mine is the founder and CEO of the facility. Small world. read more

I was seen at this care facility on Thanksgiving morning and the crew was ver gracious and kind. My wait was about an hour. Admitting is 3 pieces of paper and the ID/insurance. The facility is very very clean and the staff was efficient. Once I was seen by the PA I was in and out in 15 minutes with a diagnosis and prescription. read more

Sent to Battleground Ave. That location was so backed up, decided to wait until Monday. Returned to Battleground Ave on Monday morning,only one person working and room full. Not sure what to do, but first wanted to make sure they could do prescreening since W. Market no longer did. Surprised, the employee called W. Market and confirmed they did offer service. I was also put on hold without being told that I would be put on hold, the phone just all of a sudden started spewing one of their "we'll be with you in a minute" messages. Woke up this morning this morning with a slight malady- figured i'd pop into Urgent Care right when they open on my way to work. After 3 hours...(yes, literally 3 hours) I was seen. Three hours of watching Shrek on the waiting room TV (if you're thinking that Shrek isn't a 3 -hour movie, you're right! Finished it twice). Three hours of counting the ceiling tiles in the waiting room (231 if anyone was curious). Three hours of looking at the cutesy B-roll photos of people in the waiting room with blurbs about speedy service (the humor of this is not lost on me). The staff were as nice as they could be, given the circumstances. I don't actually have any gripes about the personnel, but when a man is made to watch Mike Myers' third-best movie twice in a waiting room, Gregory Frickin' House better be in that Doctors' Office performing medical miracles in the back. Spare yourselves. If you think you have an eye infection, buy an ice cream scoop and a bottle of whiskey and handle it yourself. It will somehow be less painful than this place. God, I need to get a grown-up doctor. read more
