I've been a patient for approximately three years. I moved here from a large city where I had excellent medical care and access to anything necessary. I was concerned about finding reputable medical care which led me to look into Duke related practices. I have been very happy with Kernodle Elon and in particular with Danielle Carter. She has managed to pick up where my old doctor left off and makes me feel comfortable and well cared for. Her knowledge is impressive, she responds quickly to messages/emails and her nurse is very kind. I would highly recommend. read more

The doctors at this location are truly wonderful, but the staff are disappointingly rude. They routinely yell at their clients, and their general demeanor can be extremely gruff. Unfortunately, because of this, the behavior of the front-office and intake/reception staff hurts this medical practice's appearance of professionalism. read more

They are turning away regular patients for lack of available appointment times, claiming they're slammed, and yet the doctors still manage to take every single Friday off from work. I was charged $1109.00 for a required preschool screening with immunizations. My daughter was sick on Nov 30, 2018. I took her to Kernodle Clinic. They did a strep test. Was told she had a virus. they charged me $225.00. ON 12/2/2018 I had to take her back because she had run a 102 fever for 3 days. So we went back in. The Dr told us she had a virus. I asked her if she would do a flu test. She did. She had the flu! If I had not asked, we would have left again thinking it was a virus. I was charged $335.00 for that visit! So I was charged $560. to be told 2 times she had a virus, when all along she had the Flu!. This place is a ripoff and they are terrible Doctors. Needless to say we are looking for another pediatrician. My insurance company is looking into it at the present time. read more
