I have used the Morehead City, NC FastMed several times for different reasons. The receptionist/front desk team is always very polite and very professional. They always answer any questions and assist with their check in process. In December of 2024 I learned that they are open 365 days a year! I was very pleasantly surprised. I expressed my surprise and they said the they are a "true" Urgent Care. They also are great a keeping me updated with test results and information about my visit. The providers are very good and they always make sure that all my questions and concerns are addressed before I leave. I highly recommended them!!! One of my favorite things about FastMed is that they allow you to schedule an appointment and do all the required paperwork online. Their site is very user friendly!! I'm very disappointed with the service at this location. I went on Friday at 4:00 PM for an emergency, and they refused to see me because the doctor was already getting ready to leave. This is unacceptable for an emergency service. Patients should never be turned away when they need urgent care. read more

Went here for a sports physical took four hours before we were seen. Then took another 2 hours before they came into the room to do the physical. Terrible service and a waste of time. read more

Scheduled an appointment on the website. Showed for the appointment on time, but had to fill out paperwork on an IPAD. Completed and was finally called back about 20 mins after my appointment time. Provided a urine sample and was put in a holding room and told the doctor would be in shortly. 30 mins later, no doctor. I opened the door, found a tech and asked had I been forgotten about. A few mins later, the doctor comes in, tells me the results of the urine specimen and told me the meds that I needed to take. Overall, I gave it 2 stars due to wait time extremely too long without any updates. read more

I have never been able to just walk in for an appointment if I was sick and came they would always tell me I have to schedule an appointment so the ideal of having a fast med walk-in clinic I would say is out of the question Most of the time you couldn't even get in for the same day . I was there before they open up the first person to walk through the door and they told me I would have to come back the next day because they did not have enough providers. I hope that one day they will be able to assist more walk-ins. read more

The lady at the front desk was great she was very kind and made us laugh as well and over all she was in a great mood, and we got there 19 minutes late as they were closing and they still allowed me and my mother to go in and get checked out. The lady that was working the front desk was awful and very rude. She insisted that my daughter and I wear a mask (we were only there for a sports physical) and there was another lady in the waiting room not wearing one and she never said anything to her. we also saw several people that work there not wearing one. She was so rude that she asked us to wait outside. read more

If I could give this no stars I would. The lady at the front desk was insanely rude to us. She gave us a mask when we walked in but the other lady sitting down wasn't wearing one so we didn't either. I also was told I am not supposed to wear one do to it causing acne on my face. Other people working there wasn't wearing one either and she did not say a word to the lady sitting down. Would not recommend this place what do ever go ahead and pay the ER bill I was told 3 hour wait... it ended up to be a 5 hour wait in my car and than I had to wait another hour on the nurse to come in my room I was there for a total of 6 hours!!! The online check in and registration is great. It saves a ton of time and prevents sick people from having to sit, for hours, in a small room, with other sick people. I have zero complaints about the care I received here and I will definitely go here again, should they need arise. read more

Then waiting another hour for the nurse to come back and give my paperwork so that I could leave. This was absolutely ridiculous. My stepson and I went in yesterday as walk in patients to try to get Covid test. They told me it would be a 3 hour wait or I could make an appointment for the following day. We made an appointment. Showed up for the appointment a few minutes early to do paperwork. Once that was complete, I had to pay copays for myself and my stepson. Didn't have to wait at all to be seen. They called us right back checked our weights and heights and sat us in a room where the lady took our vitals. After doing so, she told me that they no longer had any rapid tests, only the pcr tests and asked me if that was ok.. I told her that I guess I didn't have an option at that point. She did the swabs then the PA came in and talked to us. She was super nice. Once finished, I went up front to get our discharge papers. The lady at the desk told me that it would just be a minute and for us to have a seat. We waited 20 mins! Come to find out, the papers were on the desk the entire time. I just feel like they should have told me from the very beginning that they ran out of the rapid tests considering that's what I made the appointment for. Not wait until after I've paid and sat me in a room. And then waiting 20 mins for papers that were sitting in front of them the whole time was uncalled for as well. Other than the PA, no one seemed welcoming and inviting. They all looked annoyed to be there and they hated their jobs. I hope things will improve here. I don't plan on going back. read more

I went in and was told there were five people ahead of me and I could not wait that long. I was told I could make an appointment so that's what I did. I came back at my appointment time but the walkins were seen before me. One lady had been there for an hour and 45 minutes and I had already been there for 45 minutes after my appointment time. It has been 13 days since I was there And they still have not refunded my money since I did not see the doctor. read more

I walked into the Fast med on Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro at 735 Thursday 6/17 and was told I could not be seen because it was too close to closing time. I asked to speak to a manager and Deb at the front desk said there was not one there and she did not have a phone number for one. Ridiculous that they say they close at 8. read more

I needed to go to Urgent Care as I woke up with what turned out to be strep throat and my husband was leaving for a work trip in an hour. I was able to check in and register online, check in at the desk, be seen, diagnosed, and out of there in 40 minutes which was awesome! The staff was friendly and efficient. I wasn't able to complete the post-visit survey because I had to get home but I was very happy with my experience. read more

If you're ever thinking of going to urgent care in Goldsboro, NC.. don't. The first visit, When we first got there, the wait in the waiting room was normal, wasn't bad. But once the nurse called us in, it turned into a nightmare. First, the nurse who does the weight and temperature, etc. seemed like she didn't want to be there at all and was extremely rude. She just had a sour look on her face all the time. Not only that, but neither the doctor OR the nurse wore gloves when they were supposed to which is completely unsanitary. The wait for the doctor when you got inside the room was forever long. We even peeked out to see what was going on and he was just sitting at his desk. We waited an hour for him to come back in. The second visit (today), we waited in the waiting room forever just to be told that the doctor went out to lunch. They should've told us that way beforehand instead of wasting our time. We will not be going back there. read more
