This is my second critical review (see mine January 30, 2025). This place is terribly run, the reviews are bad, and the manager knows it. I spoke to her. I've been getting billed by them, which I ignored. I had to pay before I was even seen. I have Medicare, to which they should've submitted the bill. Instead, they sent it to collection! They didn't open the door until 8:10, the quality of care was substandard, and they completely screwed up the billing! buyer beware!! read more

This is the worst Urgent care I've ever been to. The doctor or medical assistant don't listen to your complaints. The care is very low standards it's like a drive through but the issues are not addressed. To add insult to injury they make you take a survey about if the doctor and staff clean their hands. I would sent my worst enemy here. read more

We arrived here at 8AM on a Sunday for my boyfriend's possible broken ankle. He had gotten sucked down some rapids at the river yesterday and banged it up really good on some rocks. We were taken back within about 15 minutes being the second people to arrive and were seen shortly after. He was given x rays and a thorough exam. I was pleased with the extent of the questions they asked him and the politeness of the staff. They did not charge him anything up front. They ran his insurance and took his information. Turns out that after his examination and xrays, his foot and ankle were not broken but they put him in a little boot anyway because the pain and swelling was still obvious and significant. I was impressed and pleased with the treatment he received regardless of our ages and appearances. We are young, tattooed, somewhat rough looking people and are sometimes discriminated against and did not get that here. Overall 5 star experience. read more

I'm still a fan. The facility is clean. The staff is friendly. The diagnoses and treatments are accurate. The follow up is consistent. It is a distinct comfort to know when you're in the area and have a medical issue or emergency that you can be received and seen promptly at FastMed. My last visit was after sewing through my index finger with my sewing machine! I went in for a tetanus shot. The PA ordered an x-ray and found there was still a piece of the broken needle in my finger. He attempted to surgically remove it. When it couldn't be located, he made an appointment with a hand surgeon for the next day. I appreciated that FastMed made this effort instead of making us find a practice in a town where we were just visiting. We will continue to use FastMed when we're in the Hendersonville/Flat Rock area. read more

Do not go here for covid testing. Went here for a covid test for my son who had a covid exposure at school. Full doctor exam is required to get a covid test, which meant sitting and waiting inside a small room for 45 minutes total. We asked if we could wait outside and they said no, if the patient left the room the DOCTOR said they would "throw his test in the trash". I have never been so disappointed in medical professionals. Even with masks, it is not best practice to wait in the same room that other patients have been in all day. I expected to be inside for as minimal a time as possible. Look for a drive thru testing site for safer testing. This felt like a potential covid exposure. Terrible. read more

I waited an hour in the treatment room with no updates. I don't mind waiting, especially for someone with a true emergency, but I do mind waiting and not being kept informed. I finally asked and was told "a few more minutes." In total, I waited an hour and a half. After treatment, my wound was bandaged and I left. I got one block away and felt something wet on my back (where the wound was). There was blood all over my shirt, all over the back of my car seat, and the bandage fell into the seat when I sat forward. I had to stop at the pharmacy and walk through the store with a bloody shirt. I looked like I had been stabbed in the back and people were horrified. They were even more horrified when I told them where I just came from and that it was a "bandaged" medical procedure. I will NEVER go back there. Ever. read more

Very stream lined process. I don't go to doctors regularly like avoid them at all costs. I was very apprehensive because I've been bullied by medical professionals in the past pushing their agendas. I have to remind them of my right to choose and medical freedom. That being said the doctor here only went over what I needed and didnt try to push anything on me and my family. Went to fast med in Hendersonville NC with bad infection in upper respiratory tract. PA gave me some eye drops and said that was all that was necessary and that it wasn't conjunctivitis. I was having a severe asthma attack. I tried my Dr. recommended Nebulizer with albuterol many times with little or no help. The procedure was not working and making me shake violently. After explaining my condition to the staff at Fast Med. their physician insisted another treatment with albuterol administered with a nebulizer . Which did not fix my asthma and made the shaking even worse, which caused me to have to go to the E.R for proper treatment. Due to their mis diagnosis I had to spend more of my hard earned money for proper treatment. I would rate Fast Med a 0 if I can,and do not recommend others to them. I feel I do not owe them one cent and I will not pay them any more. read more

I wrenched my knee really badly. I knew it was a soft tissue injury, but I was in incredible pain. The PA (he never introduced himself) who saw me was horrid. Worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. He started forcing me to bend it (it wouldn't and it hurt) and then told me,"try not to scream." Then he moved it around, but never looking up to see me white knuckling the table or the tears in my eyes because he was making it so much worse. Then he said they don't have a brace that would fit me - three times. I am by no means small, but I am not massive and that was just rude. (I found one online in 2 minutes that would fit and it was a standard - not plus sized) Then he doesn't even try to wrap it, or offer me anything to help the pain. He insists they can't write for pain killers. Well prescription strength Tylenol or anti-inflammatory meds, even muscle relaxers, are not controlled substances. He did nothing but make the injury worse and then walk away. NEVER going back there again. Incompetent, insulting, and arrogant- not medical professional material. read more

Hands down the best urgent care around. I was injured while on vacation and went in right before they closed. They took excellent care of me and I didn't feel like they rushed me out being it was closing time. They were very thorough with xrays and care. It turned out that I had broken my ankle. Less than one star. It was necessary for my 81-year-old husband to take strong does of antibiotics in preparation for amputation of a toe. The antibiotics caused severe diarrhea over a period of several days. On July 8, The surgeon's office instructed him to go to urgent care to get a C-diff test. The attending PA at FastMed said he was sure my husband had C-diff, discussed how contagious it is, and wouldn't even let my husband leave a test sample in the restroom at FastMed. He provided a "test kit" with three vials so the test sample could be prepared at home. The sample was taken to FastMed at 9 a.m. on July 9. After numerous phone calls, beginning on July 11, it became obvious that test results were not going to be available. There was a mistake between FastMed and the laboratory, and FastMed would not provide that information. It was only when the surgeon called the lab that we knew the results were never going to be available because of a mistake. My husband finally got another test from his GP, and the results were available in less than 24 hours. Our experience with FastMed included rudeness, incompetence and lack of communication. This situation was not merely annoying, it was dangerous for my husband's health. We will never again go to FastMed. We do not recommend it for anyone. read more

I took my sister here for a physical exam. She was greeted with attitude from the moment she walked in the door. She had an elevated blood pressure that they refused to treat. She communicated that she regularly takes a certain medication and the doctor would not fill it. They did not do any diagnostics whatsoever- no bloodwork, no urinalysis... nothing. She paid $89 to be shamed for having untreated hypertension without even asking why. They also refused to accept her insurance because they "stopped taking insurance once covid hit." Funny because my sister actually went to another Fast Med branch today and they accepted it. The other place also performed the proper diagnostics AND sent her home with medication to treat her blood pressure. They doctor was rude to match the staff at the front desk. It's a general attitude in this office. My sister left in tears, untreated, shamed, and out $89. Please find another place to go for your medical needs so you will not waste your health, time, and money. read more

Very do-able and convenient hours for a working person! Clean, efficient facility! Friendly staff overall. Short wait-time (15 minutes) was nice. These were my experiences at the Hendersonville, NC, FastMed Urgent Care: the front office lady, Savannah, was super nice and friendly. Scott, the physician's assistant, was attentive and helpful. Will, the clinic team lead, was okay with his intake questionnaire; he could definitely brush up on his patient care service and social skill sets. Overall, it was a good experience. I received the needed medical attention, and hopefully, the proper diagnosis with the proper treatment was provided. I will find out in several days whether I will be feeling better! This place is a rip-off!!! I went in to get a flu test. I waited 20 minutes (at 8am and no one else was in the office) and then was seen by a STUDENT Physician's Assistant (no doctor was even in the building). Then they charged my insurance $330!!!!!!! After the BCBS "discount", my portion was $226! Shocking to have to pay $226 for a flu test! I called the corporate office numerous times and no one would call me back to discuss the outrageousness of the charges. I'm filing a complaint with the BBB, BCBS, and the medical authorities. Don't go here, there are plenty of other urgent care providers in Hendersonville. read more

We were on vacation from Pennsylvania and my son got sick on our second day there. We went to FastMed in Hendersonville and they couldn't have been any nicer. My son is 4yrs old and terrified of going to the doctor. The physicians assistant was EXCELLENT with my son. They prescribed a medication that I could not get my son to take, so I called them. Again, they couldn't have been any nicer and sent another medication over to the pharmacy for us to pick up. They have a wonderful, polite staff. Couldn't have asked for a better place to take my son! read more

This place is not even worth your time. The guy at the front desk was very rude for starters, & talked to me as if I was an idiot & other patients that way as well. I came in because I had a very bad cold that turned into a sinus infection. I waited for 30-40 minutes while there were plenty of people in the back that could have seen me. The nurse was very polite & so was the doctor, but then I give them my card & insurance card & they said it was a $40 dollar copay, which is normal. But then, I check my account & now they've charged me for $196, & they accepted my insurance. Do not bother with this place. We are getting all of this sorted out now, but I do not recommend. Came in for a physical was told that i needed to be checked for sleep apnea. I asked for a referral was told i had to find a specialist on my own. They would refer or help me locate one. Eould not answer my questions they acted like i was a burden and could not get me out fast enough. Very unprofessional. I will never go back and will not recommend them to anyone. read more

My husband went with flu-like symptoms on 11/15/17. They never tested him for it. The doctor seemed disinterested in helping him and kept yawning. He then diagnosed him with bronchitis and prescribed a strong cough syrup for a cough that my husband didn't even have. Needless to say we will not be coming back due to poor bedside manner and misdiagnoses. read more

Christmas Day and my daughter woke up vomiting. Her dad told me he had the flu the week prior, so felt that a trip to a doc was in order for her comfort and possible Tamiflu if it was flu. Only place open was FastMed. I know these folks sacrificed their holiday to help us and others. Trust me. I work in the medical field as well and have worked many holidays and missed many important events myself. It stinks but it is the nature of working in this line of work. The NP and the nurse staff was great. They were kind and got us though efficiently I felt. However, the way we were greeted when we walked into the building was not professional and I got the feeling we were being told we were a bother. The young lady at the desk first words to us was "There is a 2 hour wait or longer". Not hello or how can I help you. Given the fact there was literally no where else to go I informed her we would be staying. She was pleasant enough during the rest of our encounter but not friendly. I saw her greet several other pt. that way as well while we were waiting. I know someone who works for FastMed in another area and she was appalled at how we were greeted. She says we are always supposed to greet " Hello. Welcome to FastMed. How can I help you". Then we are supposed to give a estimate of the wait after initial greeting and contact, but never like that. I would suggest that this young lady at this facility get some more training on professional interaction. Had I based my review solely on that young lady you would have gotten 1/5. read more

Had a great experience at FastMed. I had the foresight to make a time reservation online. We arrived a minute or two late, but the check-in process was quick and painless. The person who checked my weight and vitals was nice, and understanding. The PA who came was courteous and seemed knowledgeable. The PA had me diagnosed and fixed up in a timely manner. The atmosphere was comfortable and clean. The receptionist was friendly. FastMed will be the Urgent Care I choose next time anyone in my family needs an Urgent Care facility. read more

I'd say 3.5 if that was an option. Overall not a bad experience for this type of place. Staff & Care was pretty much as expected, which was very acceptable, for a care center with constant stream of clients. I used the online check in which helped a lot with planning & timing expectation. My 30 min notice never came, but I headed over at my estimated time anyway. I was checked in & seen in reasonable time. The staff was good; some friendlier than others, but all decent. All totaled, I was in & out in about 45 min. A very acceptable, average visit. read more

I was seen at FastMed urgent Care on July 4th 2019 . Dr Tara Tedder Lenoir 28645 NC office. I went in that morning to be checked for elevated blood pressure 162 / 97 I told them I had some pressure and felt like heartburn feeling in my chest couple days before visit. They done three EKG test in which the doctor came in and said she was concerned with results that I needed to go by ambulance to hospital. I was initially very shocked to come in office for blood pressure to be told this. I assured her I could go myself, she told that my family would not appreciate that I would die today from a heart attack. They started oxygen and IV gave me 4 aspirin. the nurse doing the IV spoke up and apologize for getting blood on me I looked at my arm and blood was running out of my arm down my leg across the table onto the floor. Ambulance drivers got there looked at their EKG report ,looked at each other and you could see their body language was that they were kind of confused. Got in the ambulance going to Frye regional hospital ER. During this time still felt really weak and shocked through this ordeal. the ambulance worker was talking to me when I stopped him and told him that I needed him to be straight forward with me on this situation. He stopped looked at me and said that doctor doesn't know what the BLEEP she's talking about. Got to the ER and they we're saying I shouldn't have even came there because the office sent over the EKG results to hospital to review and they told them that they were normal readings. Stayed for about an hour doctors diagnosed me with hypertension and gave me 5 mg of blood pressure medicine. This misdiagnosis of a stemi heart attack has put me in a financial state where I'm not able to pay my bill, in which a $290 office visit turn to a $8,133 hospital visit, and a $40 office copay turned into a $650 emergency room co-pay. It's been 6 weeks went to my family doctor he gave me a clean bill of health says I do not need to see him unless I need to. Hoping to get this resolved when it's clearly to see that just because you have high blood pressure doesn't mean you're having a stemi heart attack and going to die that particular day. Staff didn't just hear what I had to say but instead they actually listened and treated accordingly and appropriately. They were very pleasant to be around and even though it's like a one room clinic and yet there was almost a whole waiting room still to be seen I still didn't feel rushed out the door. I came in for a deep cut on my finger. I got there about 10am Saturday. After I completed the necessary paperwork, I was led into the procedure room and my vitals were taken. Two people attended to me, an EMT-P and a PA, both were very professional. After listening to an explanation of my injury, 6 stitches and a tetanus shot were administered and I was good as new. I was probably there 1 hour. I appreciate the excellent care and attention, a job well done. The finger is healing nicely. Thank You. read more

The only good thing about our experience is the wait time was short. But the PA who saw us had TERRIBLE bedside manner. He was super insensitive about my mom's anxiety. The way he explained and responded to questions was very insensitive. He clearly was more concerned about his ego than helping my mother. He raised his voice and talked condescendingly to us. What a joke this place is and the people work here. This is my story, single dad goes in this past Saturday, been sick for less than a week now. I get checked in, the first one in when they open on Saturday morning, I have a bad sinus infection, upper respiratory virus, problem breathing, severe coughing, nasal drip, bad phlegm, can't sleep because of all this. Doctor sees me and give me a antibiotic and dm cough syrup. I waited two hours for the girl to call in my meds to the pharmacy, I had to call them twice and then drive back to them and show up in person, because they did not follow through with calling it in. In at 8 for the visit, got meds by 11, crazy unprofessional. Tuesday I call and say I'm not any better, they tell me to keep taking what they gave me, I'm still coughing, chest hurts I missed work and son on. Thursday comes around, speak to the girl who answers the phone, she asked the provider about my problem, she gets back on the phone and says there's nothing we can do, it's probably viral and will have to work itself out. No care in the world to help me or suggest anything except come back in and pay another $100.00 which I have insurance, to tell me what? There's nothing you can do, this place was very unprofessional and cared nothing about me. I left my number and told the receptionist to have someone call me, nothing, no call. No very happy with this place and will never use them or recommend this place to anyone! read more

This is a horrible place. Pardee Urgent Care is always full, but that is the reason. I took my daughter there and the Dr. prescribed something that was no longer available. The pharmacist recommended a substitute, but when we went to pick up the prescription, they had called in the wrong medicine. It could cause death if used and was not for what we went in for. I called and told the desk to call in the right one and then please call me on my home phone as I don't have signal on the cell. I have been all day trying to get the right medicine for my daughter. I finally called back and they said they had called me an hour ago on my cell to tell me they called it in. I feel that the $50 co-pay was a complete waste of my time and money. We just moved to the area and we hope we can find a good competent Doctors office soon. read more

definitely not worth my money. the wait was an hour long and the PA only saw us for five minutes. they basically told me and my friend that it was either allergies, food, or sweating that was causing my rash. and they told my friend that they had "no idea what bite you" but they can get you ointment. they also did not clean off tools, blood pressure checkers, or heart rate monitors before moving onto the next patient. i do not recommend this for anyone under any circumstance. read more
