After taking a fall into a large boulder, and being fished out of a river, i was brought by ambulance to Pardee. I spent 7 hours in the waiting room of the E.R. before being seen, even bled all over a wheel chair that they proceeded to put someone else in after i stepped outside. 9 hours later, 15 staples in a 4 inch gash. And thankfully no cracked skull or brain bleed i was finally out. 4 others left the E.R. that night withourlt receiving care, including an elderly woman who was also brought by ambulance. The board of directors should be ashamed. But at least they spam the bills to you promptly.

This is based on coming to the outpatient hospital for pre-op and surgery in March and coming for current surgery I will have soon. Everyone was so nice and friendly, very caring for your comfort before surgery and after. I had to come before my last surgery in March for a covid test and the girl who does them was very gentle. I didn't mind it at all. This time I had her again I was very glad. In march I have to say I had great care. I don't understand the one stars because compared to any hospital I've ever been in this is one of the best. The stay over night went well, the nurses all helped and didn't make you wait long before they came to the room. Over all I have to say everyone dreads having surgery and then staying but this place has a caring staff, I actually had no complaints. I will update again after my next surgery in just a few days. So far it's still a 5 star review!!

We've been waiting in the ER waiting room for over 2 1/2 hours and haven't been seen. This is absurd for a Monday afternoon

I sliced a dime sized piece of skin off my finger. When he left the room to get a shot prepared, I realized I didn't want him touching me. I walked out after meeting him in the hallway and giving him an evaluation of his care, holding a piece of gauze on my finger, dripping blood down my arm and onto the floor. The very caring receptionist asked me to wait while she got the manager, who got me another provider to help me out. I still refused the shot and they offered me a less invasive treatment. The manager got me some water and graham crackers, good idea as that much panic could case shock. Thus a mixed review.

This place is pathetic. Using wannabe doctors (Dawn Israel Castle) to diagnose problems. The girl…read morethat took my vitals said my totally inflamed and extremely painful toe sounded like gout. Dawn Castle comes in, spends about 60 seconds seeing me, says it is NOT gout, writes it up as a "skin infection", and gives me an antibiotic. It didn't go away, and a week later I was in severe pain. I went to a podiatrist in Hendersonville, and as soon as he saw it he said "this is a textbook case of gout." He prescribed a correct med and I was better in two days. I called into Pardees patient services to complain and request my $50 copayment back. I felt that I wasted my money. I was promised my $50 copayment back from Dr. Schwartman. I waited months and was passed off between a Morgan (useless) who doesn't return calls, Jenny (patient services) who dropped the ball, and passed to an upper manager Alicia Weiss (spelling?) who passed the buck and said that Pardee is owned by UNC and they don't give refunds. So I get a call tonight from the UNC accounting dept., 4 months later, and the girl tells me they "don't give refunds for the copay." What a pathetic joke Pardee and UNC are. You pay good money to go to their urgent care to be diagnosed by a fake doctor for a false diagnosis, and they don't care because they get their money from your provider. What a rip off. I might as well go to an auto mechanic next time I have a health issue. Do NOT use these crooks!!!! Look at their poor reviews folks. They will reply to contact their customer care phone number. Why? They don't care.

I voluntarily went to Psychiatric and Addictions Therapeutic Healing Services (PATHS) at Pardee…read moreHospital to get help with my anxiety problem. My family had called 911 due to my severe anxiety problem. The sheriff deputies and an ambulance arrived at my house. I chose to to go with the police to save myself an ambulance fee. I was admitted through the emergency department. My family spoke with the intake nurse and described some of the issues as well as why I was having anxiety. They were told this information was protected by HIPPA and would only be used in a clinical environment setting. Before being admitted to the unit, I spoke to a staff member in the emergency department. He was a veteran and said it was like going into war. You just go and get the job done. Then you live your life. This made me feel like I was doing the right thing by seeking help. I was given medication that evening to help me calm down and sleep. I was calm to the point of not being able to walk or talk. My girlfriend got a call at 3 am from the staff about my condition. She reminded them that I had a traumatic brain injury and was sensitive to medications. The next day I was feeling anxiety and asked for medication to calm me down. I asked several staff members for help. They asked me to wait in a room but never brought me any medications to ease my anxiety. I left the room several times to ask for help with no success . When I asked for help again very vocally, one of the staff members shared loudly in the hallway some of the intake information given by my family. It was embarrassing and should not have been shared where everyone in the unit could hear. I felt it was shared to humiliate me. It definitely led me to want to leave the unit voluntarily due to no help. I was encouraged to leave by lunch that day with an offer of a cab ride home. My girlfriend, however, was able to get off work and pick me up. She was told I did not meet the criteria for admission to the unit. They told her I had to be a danger to myself or others to be admitted to the unit. The police had taken me to the emergency room because they thought I was on drugs and that was the reason for my behavior which was not the case. Several days later I got a copy of my chart. It stated that I had left against medical advice but that was not true. My girlfriend told me that the staff said I had to leave the unit since I didn't meet admission criteria. In addition there were a lot more medications listed as given to me than I remember getting. I know that I did not get nicotine gum or a nicotine patch. I do not smoke as I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. Also, I was given a medication that my family had specifically asked I not be given due to my traumatic brain injury. Based on this experience I will not seek any form of treatment at Pardee Hospital or its affiliates in the future. My advice is to go somewhere else out of the area for competent help with psychiatric issues.

This is a long one. I was referred here by my back surgeon…read more This location was the closest to home still over one hour away. I was suppose to go for acupuncture,(Dry needling is what they offered) heat, massage to see if it would help my back. Appt 1. This went well. The therapist was only there for 3 months but asked all kinds of questions, did a evaluation and then did some massage and then I went for the heat and tens unit. A few stretches to "build" the core up. I have had 5 stomach surgeries so I'm sure this is not something that happens over night. That day after I was done you go to the counter where they want to schedule all of your appts at once. The girl was new and someone helped her set them up. I did not have my appts with me and she assured me i could change if needed. Plus I did not know if it would be feasible to come that far for 2 times a week especially with gas prices unless I was up that way for another appt. She said OK no problem. #Nothing else was said about policies or anything.# So 2nd appt would have been the following week a day after I went to my pain management Dr and had a procedure done, I was hurting, sore and called to cancel explaining the therapist knew I was going to have it done. But I called and cancelled no problem. The 3rd appt. I had was for a few days after that one and I had to go for another appt not far away. I was done early so I called. I said is there anyway I could come in sooner other wise I'd have to stay for 4;hours in the area to wait The lady who answered said if you can come now at 11 am we have someone else who can take you. I was like I will be there. Nothing more said when I did that appt. Then comes the following week. I had looked at my schedule and had another appt booked same day but not near this location. So I left a message on the answering machine the day before, plus cancelled by text to the notification which confirmed my appt was cancelled. That afternoon I get a phone call. Yes is everything ok? You didn't show up for your qppt. I said I left a message and cancelled by text. We didn't get it. WHAT!!! That's my fault???? Then proceeds to say your provider cancelled you and you can not come back. I said who is my provider? She said This therapist Karen. You would figure huh? I said let me speak to her. She did not listen. She kept saying you can not miss 3 appts. Or cancel. WHAT!! I told her the day I signed up I explained i had other appointments , so cancelling the one because I was hurting from a procedure was one. 2nd was because I changed my 3:00 to 11 am!! I was marked NO SHOW AND THE 3RD FOR THAT DAY! I Have Never not called or missed any appt for any Dr office in all my years as a adult!!! I didn't plan on having this happen! This Karen who I never met, after going over the appts and what happened how I didn't miss any appts. I could prove I called the day before and cancelled by text she didn't want to hear it. So she says " I will tell you what you can come back one more time and there is no other warnings or chances." What!! Forget that after all of this you think i want to or would go back!!!??? No thanks! I said cancel all of the appts I am not coming back. I asked about a manager to talk to but because it was good Friday there was no manager on duty till Monday. So Monday rolls around. I get someone on the phone, I really don't think now she was a manager. She listened to what happened, put me on hold for like 5 minutes comes back and said my hands are tied I said I don't want to come back I just thought you'd like to know how this place is being ran and how people are being talked to!!! She said oh OK I'm sorry. I was burning if i lived closer I would have gone in person. I am still not done I want someone higher up to hear what happened. To treat a patient/ customer like this is unacceptable! Especially when it was told from day one about my schedule and living so far from the location. Nothing was told that if I had to cancel or change a appt I'd be cancelled. ***So before committing to this location make clear to a manager or a higher up any concerns. I would definitely go somewhere else now would never go back here.*** #700th Review

I've had a LOT of PT over the years, and also worked in several hospitals in the D.C. Metro area,…read moreso I feel qualified to say that this group is the best I've seen. I came out if the hospital after knee surgery and was seen at home for 3-4 weeks by a very impressive physical therapist and a PTA who attended to much more than knee exercises -- I was discharged on home oxygen, which was very distressing and a great hindrance to performing my exercises -- and I got lots of helpful suggestions regarding using the O2. Many thanks to Dawn for getting me started. The SE Sports Medicine facility is equipped with a dazzling array of machines, and again, my PT and PTA were not only superbly competent but the sort of pleasant congenial folks you'd like to take home for dinner. So thanks as well to Jason and Ashleigh who have made the experience a very agreeable one.
