Most of my experiences with Fastsigns in Escondido were good, hence two stars instead of one, but it only takes wasting a couple hundred dollars on an unusable product and being blown off by the proprietor once to sour you on a place. As I said, I placed several orders previously which did have good workmanship and reasonable delivery times though I felt prices were not especially competitive. However, I had one order of custom decals made for a machine we were assembling and they stuck to the protective paper the shop used so badly as to be unusable. Since the assembly team was in Portland, I had a rush order put in at the Portland Fastsigns for a replacement. They charged far less, got it done more quickly, and the decals worked like a charm. I tried to talk to Jonathan about this and asked simply for store credit on a future order. I was not asking for a refund nor asking him to pay for the replacement order I had to call in, simply store credit for the unusable decals. I have never haggled, asked for discounts, or complained with their shop before and I was completely willing to let this go if it was made right. Jonathan made some non-sequitur remarks and refused to take any responsibility, and then finally said he'd give me 50% store credit on it but also implied that he didn't really care if I went elsewhere. I turned it down because a shop that won't fix a problem they created doesn't fill me with confidence for future orders. While it's less convenient if you're in this part of town I recommend the Mira Mesa Fastsigns, I never had a bad order with them and they were always responsive to customer needs and feedback. read more

Update: Owner response is a lie. If they have "no record" of who I am, then how do they know they "gave me several years of artwork!" Jonathon, you can return one of my many phone calls left for you last month!! Review: Don't recommend. I used them for several years for cards, artwork, outside signage, floor stands, door signs, etc. but will not use them for anything anymore. Customer service is so bad and the owner accepts it. Even our cards can't be printed right. They changed my template without notification and then expect me to pay for wrong cards. Phone numbers changed. Titles messed up. Fonts changed. When I ask for the standard template, I expect to get what I already approved, not a changed template. The primary girl at the desk lies to me multiple times even right to my face. No one in my business wants to deal with her. Her attitude is "whatever." Jonathan, the owner, is never available. I wonder if that is just something his staff is directed to say because I am told "he's on a call" but 1 minute later, I'm told he's "on a survey." They were great at one time but quality of products and customer service is now substandard. read more

One guy was polite about the situation but i left a check with Brandon and he told me he would cash it once i sent the file i wanted printed for my office i emailed the file, he said it wouldn't work i asked him what i can do and he said he can recreate our logo and image for $85(made it at fed ex for $7 BTW) I called and said to not do anything and drop it come to find out they charged me $48 was only able to get $33 thanks for wasting my time twice i cant believe neither of you knew how to give a refund. Fastsigns Escondido is on point. Me and my Husband Garrett Field the Owner of Steam Team Tile & Carpet Care brought one of our work-vans in for dacals and were throughly impressed. We made a number of changes I think the total was somewhere around 3 or 4 times. They weren't upset and changed the design each time without expressing attitude which is nice. I called into this store and spoke with an associate about my needs for a couple signs to which she told me that they could have my order completed by the next day. I submitted my art and didn't hear back by evening so I called in and then the guy on the phone told me that this takes a few days and if I wanted it done in the next couple days there would be a $50 charge. I argued that the woman earlier quoted me a day and never mentioned fee's and he didn't feel the need to honor the word of his shop. What a wast of a day, thanks to these guys. I will never work with people who have no integrity. Find a better print shop. read more

Worked with these guys on a quote and asked them not to move forward with production while I got other quotes. When I informed them that I would was going to use another company's service they charged me 50% of the estimate even though I never ordered any products from them. Their estimate clearly states, "All estimates that convert to an invoice will require a 50% deposit." I have no invoice because I did not order anything. Terrible customer service. read more

I have used Fast Signs several times to produce signs for our small business-Escondido Coin & Loan. The work has always been of excellent quality, done on time, and reasonably priced. Most recently I employed Fast Signs to replicate a hand painted sign which had cost $250 to make originally. Fast Signs' total price for set up and producing two flawless signs was well under $200. In addition if we want more of the same sign in the future Fast Signs has kept a file of the art work. I can buy additional signs for less than $30. read more

Connected with Jonathan and Bryan about helping out a local high school for a fundraising project. Sent them files, explained project etc. They sat on the artwork for over a week even though I told them this was a time sensitive project. Then, I got an email saying that the artwork needed $170 worth of work on their part and that if I now wanted it "expedited' that they are going to charge me another $125! This would have TRIPLED the price, when all the desire was to raise money for a local sport steam. Seems like they thought I said it was a fundraiser for Fastsigns Escondido!? Then, they tried to blame ME for the delay! WTF? They took ZERO accountability for their delays and lack of communication. There are many other companies that will treat you like you are appreciated and professionally to waste your time and effort with them. STAY AWAY! read more
