Have you ever been to one of those businesses where the moment you step in it looks like complete chaos? Well, don't be fooled when you step into this Copymat, this is what I like to call, Organized chaos, of the best kind. Underneath those piles of paper and empty boxes rest the state of the art copy machinery. They can print anything from giant blueprints and oversize poster copies, to super sharp color copies on whatever kind of paper you like and banners that span the highway. Mitch, the owner, and his right hand woman, Julie, hold down this paper fort with a sense of humor and an ease that makes you feel right at home, no matter how soon your deadline is. Stepping into this Copymat is a little like time travel, remember when you could bring your art on a thumb drive and they wouldn't charge you an extra $2.50 just to read the thumb drive. (I'm looking at you, Staples copy center). I've been in several times now, and they've always been able to print off my work while I wait, without having to charge me a rush fee (once again, looking at you Staples copy center). And don't be dissuaded by some of the other reviews talking about bad service, the current lineup, Mitch and Julie are the all stars of the copy world and have always been super helpful whenever I come in for some copies. Great service! I was in Escondido for our wedding and needing some things printed fast as I forgot to print some stuff in Las Vegas before we got out there. I've passed by this business for more than 5 years and after my first experience I regret not using them sooner. I came in for an order and was helped by Mitch, the owner. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Finished my job on time and better than I expected. I came back for a second job and this was even better than the first. I placed a print order with art work only to realize a day later I had given the wrong art file. To make matters worse, I had asked for a rush order. I spoke to Mitch again and he did everything he could and fortunately for me, was able to get the art work changed before the order had started and it didn't cost me anything extra. This job came in ahead of schedule and again, a superior job. I have many print jobs and without a doubt I will be using them for all of my print needs. Everyone at this store is very helpful and friendly. Truly a local store but they provide an extremely professional experience and product. read more

I'm so furious when dealing with the guy who works there. Mitch the owner takes care of me every time and never had a problem, but for some reason the other guy working there has no sense of customer service towards me. He turns me down every time I need some papers printed. Is he racist? For what ever reason he doesn't like me. I'm sorry Mitch, you run a professional business but to have that guy represent you is a bad bad look. I come in to print papers. That's what you do! But why every time I'm in there, he doesn't want to help me one bit or print any of my papers. Fuck him!! It's personal. Mitch you deserve at least 3-5 stars but I can't give it providing the service I receive every time I deal with him. I give you my business every time and several times. This place will not make a simple copy for you if they are closing in 5 minutes. Its ridiculous that a business would turn down a customers request that would only take a few minutes. By turning down possible customers they just lose future business. When i asked if i can send them an email to be printed he just said "i cant help you know we close in 5 minutes" and then he just walked away. I needed some 4" x 6" scratch pads made for my business and I needed a quick turnaround. I checked out some online resources, but they would take too long. Kinko's was WAY too expensive and then I remembered the tiny little shop known as CopyMat, which is near my work. My firm has done business with them before, so I gave it a shot. I was in there on a Thursday at 5:15 p.m., provided the Copy Master a Word document of my company logo and information and he said he would create 15 scratch pads, containing 50 pages each. The cost was a steal at $38.00. Far cheaper than anywhere else I priced! The pads were ready on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Bottom line = awesome people, awesome prices, quick turnaround! What more do you want in a shop?! read more

I have quite a few black and white items made for the place where I work. I tried this place out and have been very pleased with the results. The only color item I've had is a black and white with a red border, and that was done well too. I am able to e-mail samples have them beautify it and they will send me a proof. They offer free delievery in the zoo for orders over $50.00, but I choose to pick up to get me out of the office for a bit. I had a Notary stamp made by them and that lasted the whole 4 years of my commission, I will be back to them for the renewal. You keep it local, you support independent owned, and you can get a great deal when you use Copymat. read more

They work to accomodate your budget, timeframe, and vision for each project. I have worked with many "entitled" print shops, but Mitch and the rest of the crew are more that happy to work with you even on short runs or special pieces. It is a small shop. I checked this place out because of all the great reviews only to find out that they are not what they used to be. When I came into the door on 9/12/13 @ 2pm, the guy who worked there didn't act like he wanted to work there and I wasn't greeted in a professional way. I was trying to explain to him about a printed poster board but It felt like he didn't know anything about what to do. He was trying to get me to buy something expensive when I wanted something simple and affordable. Since I wasn't getting anywhere with him and decided to leave, he says "you won't find any place better than here". With that attitude, any place is better.. I suggest they find someone better to work there or else they lose more customers. read more

I can't believe that these guys actually had good reviews about their customer service. When I went to check this place out, two guys who were in their small offices just stared at me, and I had to wait for the guy who was all the way at the other end of the room to come talk to me. I said "Hi" to him as he was walking towards me, but he did not even say hello. All he said was "What can I help you with?" with an attitude. If you people hate your job, don't take it out on people who are trying to help your business out! All I asked was for them to print out one simple thing for me, and he was trying to make me pay for something that doesn't or shouldn't even cost that much. I told him that I would look someplace else then, and he told me I would get the same price anywhere else. Yeah well guess what Ahole?! I found a much better place with excellent customer service and a cheaper, much more reasonable price! If the guys at copymat treated me with good customer service I probably would have printed what I needed there, but because they were dickheads I chose to go and spend my money someplace else! Absolutely, hands down the best customer service we have had with just about ANY company we deal with. We sent out for quotes for a label printing job and Mitch responded almost instantaneously (and not a computer-generated response) and then consistently followed up with each of our changes until the job was in our hands. He beat the deadline that we set, everything was perfect, AND the price was as good or better than the other 3 quotes (although it is interesting that we never did get a quote from one company, only to get a phone call a few days after we HAD our labels asking if we were going to place an order). On a business trip near Escondido campaigning for Alan Keyes and I needed to make numerous copies for the campaign. I found the facility to be sub standard and not able to process what I needed quickly. On top of that I wasn't helped due to everything being cattywampus in there. Went here to make flyers for my church that's having a car wash. The owner looked me up and down, the asked me "if I wanted to sniff some snow and party" as he put his clenched fist by his face and made his cheek stick out on the opposite side of his face with his tongue presumably. I kindly said "no thank you, just some copies please" he then took my originals and threw them in my face and said "get out of here, if you ain't willing I don't want your business". That's a cleaned up version mind you and he went on for sometime as I collected my papers. I hope this review causes such a poor mannered fellow to learn how to treat his customers! read more

I WOULD AND WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE AGAIN! When I first called this place to inquire about copies I asked, "can i send an email with my attached documents for print?" He said, "yes but better to send online via our website." I asked how much are the copies and he said .10 cents each. I sent the files via their website and picked up the copies and they were .10 cents each plus tax. I sent the document via email this time and have been in there 3 other times since then and was charged .10 cents each. I went in today (sent the files via their website) and the guy said it was $1.00! I said why I have 4 pages and they are .10cents each. He said i don't know the owner told me to charge you $1.00. I said why then did you charge me .10 cents and he said i was just being nice to you. Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I spoke to the owner and asked him why he charged me .25 cents (oh and no tax but on the .10 cents their is tax). and he said because i have to open the files, .10 cents is if you come in. I told him that i have sent to staples numerous times via email and was charged .12 cents and he said then i don't know how they are making money! OMGish horrible! The boss/owner is in so much lack that he has to charge .25 cents a copy to make money. Pathetic! He just made up the price to his liking and the other guy doesn't and didn't know anything about anything. This business is run poorly! read more

CopyMat designed and printed our HOA parking passes and they turned out perfectly. Not only did they take the time to recreate our HOA logo when we could not find the file but they were able to make a parking pass that looks get and will work perfectly for our association. Their prices are much cheaper than the competition and they were able to get us the passes in a short time frame. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs copy/print work done. read more
