I have a tendency to eat fast food, quick service and convenience are priorities. While passing through Madera I stumbled upon Fastway and decided to give it a try. No line and quick, polite service was a plus. Ordered the two piece chicken which came with a potato log and roll. The chicken was a bit oily but the flavor was okay. Definitely not the most flavorful I've had and probably won't be back for the chicken. It was bland and underwhelming. The potato log is an oversized potato wedge. The inside was soft and piping hot. I would've preferred the outside to have more crisp but overall the potato log was acceptable. I did finish it. The roll was nice and soft but also could've used more flavor. They had a variety of other items available on the menu from corn dogs to chimichangas. I might be back to try something else if I'm in the area. Nothing to write home about but It's a cute little establishment and I can see why locals frequent the place. read more

Price was fair. I ate a breast + wing & 2 wedge potatoes. Tried to down a thigh but couldn't take anymore. Ended up tossing a breast and the thigh out and my stomach has been gurgling all afternoon. This place caught my eye about a month ago while I drove passed it to take my son get a haircut in Madera . Today I decided to drive from My home in Kerman to give it a try and I didn't regret it , it was delicious. My wife and son also loved it . They have their family pack and it comes with really soft rolls. I went here because of the reviews. Here's what the other reviews aren't telling you. The inside as you walk through the door reeks like Raid or some other bug spray. Then you wait to place your order for 10 minutes even though there's NOONE in front of you in line. Then you realize there are flies literally EVERYWHERE. In the 10 minutes you stand in line a fly lands on you like 20 times. Then the guy from the back comes with more chicken and flings it into a huge plexiglass case that already has tens of pounds of fried chicken in it.
