I purchased a vehicle from Fat City Auto Sales and began experiencing mechanical issues within the first week of ownership. From the start, there were also concerns regarding how the down payment was processed, and I had to follow up with the finance company to ensure everything was recorded correctly.
Shortly after purchase, the vehicle experienced a fuel pump failure, which was repaired under warranty with a deductible paid by me.
Within a short time after that repair, the vehicle developed a more serious issue involving loss of acceleration. At this point, the vehicle is not safely drivable, and there has been no clear diagnosis provided for the problem.
I have attempted to get assistance and answers regarding the vehicle's condition, but was ultimately told there was nothing further the dealership would do and that the matter was closed.
I am sharing this experience as a Yelp review so that other potential customers can make an informed decision. While I understand that used vehicles can sometimes have unexpected problems, I was disappointed by the lack of support and communication after multiple serious issues arose so soon after purchase. A dealership's response when problems occur is just as important as the sale itself, and unfortunately my experience did not meet those expectations.
I would also like to note that I purchased the vehicle from Fat City Auto Sales, but the sales contract I received was explained to me as being through AYCO Auto Sales and lists the dealership as AYCO Auto Sales. This discrepancy added to my confusion during the process and is something I believe potential buyers should be aware of and clarify before completing a purchase.
As my initial experience with this dealership has been extremely frustrating, our family has been left without reliable transportation while continuing to deal with unresolved vehicle issues. We have documented everything throughout the process and are exploring our options moving forward.
Based on what we have experienced, I would encourage potential buyers to carefully review all paperwork, warranty coverage, and financing details before making a purchase. read more
