So I'm stuck in the Tulsa airport and conveniently Fat Guy's is next to my terminal. When we first arrived, before the first delay, our group thought we had 40 minutes. So a round of beers and a very large order of fries was all we ordered. The local IPA was good and fries great - easily shared. Time to board - maybe not. This time an hour delay. Back to the same table for another round of beers and two orders of the cheese fries this time. Fries were good but perhaps too cheesy to share. By yourself or with family it would be fine. Time to board - nope. This time a 1.5 hour delay. Now it's another round and burgers. I abstained hoping I could still have dinner at home with my wife. Burgers looked great and were a hit. Some of the group had dined here before so they knew what to expect. Service was friendly and responsive even with a growing clientele who were becoming more agitated over the delays. I came in at 7:05 PM to get food with my daughter before my flight. My daughter ordered while I checked on our delayed flight. Waiting for our waitress to return and never came over to ask for food prior to closing the kitchen. Too busy cleaning the soda machine to acknowledge me and walked away as I was walking over to order. The bartender said they closed at 7:30. Had a couple of hours before my flight and went in to Fat Guys to have lunch and get some work done. My server was great and really took care of me. I had the double cheeseburger with my selected toppings and some fries. The burger was delicious and very juicy. This was probably the best burger I have had at an airport restaurant. The fries were fresh and there were enough of them to feed 3 people. The atmosphere was good to enjoy my meal while I worked. Being amongst the other wayward travelers that early in the morning in the Tulsa airport, imagine my surprise when I am met with such friendly service. Couple that with one very tasty breakfast sandwich on a fantastic croissant, and some of the best breakfast potatoes (using French fries) I have ever had, and let me tell you, the very early morning was made. The ambiance was what it was and that's a great restaurant amongst the hustle of a busy airport, but this place didn't need anything more than great service and great food and for that, it delivered. No service and no organization at 8 am. sat in the bar and the lady worker (not the nice blond) gave me attitude for sitting at the bar even though it was open. When I started to ask for something like a soft drink she said I can't get you anything until my manager gets here. She just assumed I wanted alcohol. No menu or even a hello. I should have checked the reviews before visiting this spot in the airport, but I was tempted by the fact it was next to my gate when heading back home. I didn't sit at the bar, since it was full, but received decent service. Both the bartender and one of the waitresses assisted me during my visit. I was initially undecided on ordering the burger or wings, so I asked the bartender but she was no help and said she didn't eat meat. I ordered the double bacon burger with several of their "free" toppings. They should correct their menu and call the fresh jalapeños "grilled", since they showed up on my burger as grilled ones. How did it taste? Well, I had Arby's for lunch, so it was slightly better than that, I should say. The burger patties were perfectly circular and tasted dry and boring, so its pretty obvious they were machine formed, pre-frozen patties, yuck! Luckily I didn't order fries or anything else, food wise. I did try a local wheat beer on tap, which wasn't bad. The food presentation is terrible. First of all, food comes out in a paper bag, even though it was obvious I was dining there. Pros: we have eaten at other fat guys locations and liked it. We ate at this location last month and it was fine. No issues. But last time I only ordered fried and a soda. Andqle was closed so we had a choice between fat guys or chili. This was right in front of our gate so we chose this place. Cons: ordering chaotic. You seat yourself so the waitresses just serve anyone they feel like in no particular order. So people who arrive long after you get table service before you. 45 minutes later, still no food. We had to cancel our order. Then they brought our food to the gate. We paid. Food was horrible! My burger was dry and patties were so thin. The bun was stale. My husband's hotdog bun was dry, the meat was tasty, the condiments were messily placed. We will never ever eat here again. There's other places to choose from at the airport. read more

The Peanut Butter Bacon Thai Style burger is not worth it (burger, PB, bacon, jalapeños, sriracha, grilled pineapple) - just go with a cheeseburger. Tulsa, OK. Food selections at Tulsa Airport are rather slim, perhaps three or four choices. Fat Guys is located out on on one of the concourses, of course not the one our gate was at. It seemed to be the most interesting choice. The burgers are double or triple patty and are rather good. For airport food it is excellent, as long as you're in the mood for a burger that is. The price range is surprising because it seems to be standard pricing, not airport gouging. You sit at a table and a server takes your order. Then she brings it out in a to go bag, kind of odd but what the hell. My burger had cheddar, bacon, and roasted jalapeños. The jalapeños were the real deal, plenty of fire but not overwhelming. Slow to non-existent service. Travel through TUL airport frequently and need a place to grab a bite. Last visit a few weeks ago I stopped in, sign at front said to seat yourself, so I did. I waited 20 min with no server acknowledging my existence, so I got up and left. Fast forward two weeks. Me and two co workers had over an hour until flights boarded. Co workers wanted to go here, so I joined them. Same thing, we seated ourself. 15 minutes later we were greeted. Placed our order for a blue burger and two chipotle chicken sandwiches. Another 15 min go by and waited comes to table to tell us they are out of chicken! This is about 11:30am too, so before any lunch crowd, and maybe 10 or so total people at tables. The other two switch to burgers, another 10 minutes pass and time to board plane for 2 guys. Waites said cook just put a lot of burgers on the grill and we could cancel order if we wanted. They cancel their 2 burgers and I wait for mine another 15 minutes before I got up and left. Don't waste your time here. read more

I think I must've gotten FG on a good day. Had a flight in the afternoon and Olivia was my staff person. I was promptly greeted and order taken - I chose being the the dining room as opposed to the bar. Ordered the PB Thai style burger and spicy fries with chipotle ketchup. Burger came out hot as did fries. Thai style has a pineapple and jalapeños and of course peanut butter. I really liked the taste - very unique and good combo of sweet and savory and spicy. I'd definitely get it again. The spicy fries were ok but not outstanding, but they were spicy and crispy. The chipotle ketchup was meh - I'd choose another next time. read more

While the burger was cooked just right, couldn't get toppings I wanted due to being out. Did not have bone-in chicken wings. Fries were not crisp but soggy. Sweetener for drinks was so old it was one lump and wouldn't dissolve in drink. All this at 12pm on a Friday. I won't be flying to Tulsa no more but if I did I probably will try another place. The breakfast burger was apparently marinated in grease and the fries slept in the fryer all night. The two patrons seated were in conversation with each other and she was about to pour a poorly measured Vodka Soda. The 0.002 seconds it would have taken her to simply acknowledge my existence would have made all the difference here. I couldn't help but notice the I was the ONLY Patron of color, and she was engaged with the THREE of them. In that instant, I decided to just ask for ice vs. purchasing ANYTHING from her. So I should have known something was up with the number of people who were walking out in frustration but all they make is burgers and fries, right? How difficult can it be? First, the bar was great - drinks came out fast and were good. That's where it ended. The food took 45 minutes (good thing my flight was delayed) and it was wrong. The tag clearly stated cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mayo. I got a bun with cheese and two patties. That's it. And there was no point in complaining, even with the delay I had to eat fast to make my flight. I should have taken it to go but i still needed to wait to pay so there was no point.
