We were grateful to be allowed inside for lunch with our pup (he's small, the time of the day seemed to be relatively slow and it was pretty windy for a patio outside). Everybody loved our dog! And we were super appreciative of quick and efficient service, quirky interior and satisfying food. Feels a bit more like a fast food place, but definitely satisfying and the ingredients aren't cheap. Thumps up and puppy-approved !

This was the worst experience we've ever had there. The tamales were old, burnt, and dry. I have eaten there hundreds of times before so I know what they used to be like. They have lost their signature menu item trying to keep up with the new menu.

Good food- I had the roast beef with gravy sandwich- beef was tender, good bread and gravy! GET had tamales- yes they are small the order is SIX tamales. He loves tamales & loved these! Friendly service and love the colorful ambiance!

Ok, so this isn't going to be a fair review because a restaurant with the name Fat Mama's Tamales was out of tamales when I came for dinner on a Tuesday night. Sorry, but have to knock one star for that. ‍ Anyways, I ended up ordered the taco soup and my SO ordered the chili. Also had to try the Knock-You-Naked margarita (strawberry) to see if it actually would work. When they brought the food to the table we had a hard time telling the difference between the soup and the chili. Finally, after much digging around in the bowl, turns out the soup has a little less meat and corn in it. Otherwise, they look and taste similar. Which was really good! We got some hot sauce to put in it just to spice it up a bit but it had great flavor. Also had to try the Fire and Ice pickles. They are good. Basically they are just sweet and spicy pickles. The margarita was good. Not mind blowing but good. It's just a basic margarita with strawberry flavor added to the bottom. Have to mix it up a bit to find the strawberries. The Gringo Pie is what I was looking forward to trying but since they were out of tamales I'll just have to try again whenever I come back through. COVID 19: customers are required to wear masks until seated. Hand sanitizer is available at the counter where you order your food and pay. Tables are spread out and they do have patio seating. Website says they are limiting capacity to 50%.

Quick friendly service, great food and a cool vibe. FYI though they do not serve tamales all day. We waited until noon even though they opened at 11 but the tamales wouldn't be available for a couple hours. We got regular nachos to snack on until we came back. They were ehh. The tamales and gringo pie were so good when we finally got them though!!!

Food is amazing. Drinks are amazing. The vibe though is why you go back. Think Key West meets a taco stand. Love this place

Despite the name tamales is not worth eating, dried and lacking flavor. The margaritas were good though.

Very good tamales. Try the Gringo Tamales covered in chilly, onions and jalapeños. Try the margaritas also.

Food is way to expensive and bland. The service was good and the restaurant clean. It has a good atmosphere so I'd say maybe once.

So I didn't get in from Baton Rouge til late so I stopped here to grab some dinner. Tried a tamale…read more By far one of the better ones in had around here although I like them with a little more heat. . Nevada and Arizona really spoiled me. Had the chicken enchiladas with r/b. It had been so long since I had really good rice and beans I forgot how much I liked them. Both cooked just like I like them. I can't stand thick beans and dried out rice. Enchiladas were great. Gentleman behind the counter was great. Love that you can literally customize your order however you please. Portion was large, literally enough for 3 meals for me. So, a late night snack and lunch. Will definitely be back when I cruise by.

I ordered the happy meal, which is fajitas, rice, and queso sauce. I ordered the chicken fajitas. The waitress asked me if I wanted the green peppers and onions. I told her yes. I got my order to go. When I arrived home, and sat down to eat, there was only grilled chicken, rice, and cheese sauce. There were no tortillas, no onions, and no green peppers. I'm hoping that this was not done intentionally and I am willing to give them another chance. Maybe fajitas are not served with tortillas here, but they always have been at other Mexican restaurants in Natchez. On the plus side, what was on the plate is quite good. It had a lot of well seasoned chicken strips, and the cheese sauce over the rice is good as well. The addition of the green peppers and onions that I ordered but did not get would have elevated this dish substantially. I will try them again soon and see what happens.
