It turns out the company got its start in Minot, N.D. in 1938 as a mail order supplier of tractor parts. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of items they carry at fairly reasonable prices. The store is very large, and not really well organized. Plan on spending some time exploring the aisles and you'll be intrigued at the really cool selection of merchandise you never would imagine seeing in a store named Tractor Supply.
