What an incredible Oktoberfest experience with Fat Tire Tours! We had Mark as our guide and he was an absolute gem!!! He's friendly, fun, and overflowing with knowledge. The whole thing was seamless: you meet at a set location, get to know the group, then hop on the subway together for a quick ride to the Oktoberfest grounds. Along the way, Mark filled us in on all the best traditions, fun history, insider tips, and of course, where to find the best food and beer. One of the biggest perks? A table reservation inside one of the tents. That alone makes the tour worth it. Mark made sure everyone had what they needed, helped us order (a real MVP move when you're trying to navigate German menus in a packed tent), and kept the good vibes rolling the entire time. Our guide, Rob was outstanding! That was my second fat tire tour; the first was in London, also very good! Rob made Munich really come alive. He was a gracious, enthusiastic guide with a good amount of patience and adherence to safety. His tidbits of German were helpful and his knowledge of the city, country and its history were craftily entwined in his stories about each of the several sites. The ride itself was easy as it's broken into many segments permitting you to cover so much more ground than a walking tour. That was my traveling companions first bike tour and she looks forward to another. If you can ride a bike and your planning to visit Munich, take this tour! read more

We toured the Munich City Center with tour guide Mark P. Saw a lot of the city we wouldn't otherwise see, enjoyed being outside, learned some history about Munich as well as local and area culture. Something I really appreciate about Germans is their ability to see history and their past with Hitler's reign as a past that must be taught and not whitewashed so that it doesn't happen again. Americans would do well to take a page from Germany's book and stop whitewashing our own past. But back to the tour... we stopped at a beer garden for brews and food, saw the wave at the head of a Munich canal that has produced 1000s of surfers in an area an outsider wouldn't equate with surfing. Very cool to see. Mark was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire tour enjoyable. At the end, he spent time with us recommending places to see and how we might get there. read more

My wife and I took the bike tour with our daughters, ages 11 and 13, and had a fantastic time. Our tour guide, Steve, made the trip fun and interesting. We ate lunch at a beer garden and saw many of the important sights in the city. We have been to Munich several times and the bike tour helped us make a little more sense of the city. The electric bikes are fantastic. They are easy to ride and allowed us to cover a lot of ground. I definitely recommend taking this tour. read more

My daughter and I took the 4.5 hour tour in August and it was a great experience. We got to see the major sites at a leisurely pace and had a nice lunch in the park. We took the segway tour last weekend for my friend's 50th birthday- we also added on the motorized bike tour as well - which I believe they just started doing. We had a blast!!
