The lodges also stunk a lot like sewer. The hours were not very good the pool hours were 11am-7pm. Also when the kids we're driving the golf car, one of the people staying in the campers decided to get their truck and a drive our kids and other kids off the road and we called people and the only thing that happened with security talk to them. Nothing happened. The lodge was also very dirty spiderwebs everywhere and lots of animal hair.

This marina is quite lovely, with the slips set up in a pattern to accommodate boats of various sizes. There is ample parking and a restaurant on site. They require $200 cash only for a deposit upfront. This company will claim that you damaged their prop, and that you were at fault, therefore you will not get your cash deposit back. They did not take pictures prior to getting in to the boat. But they will blame you. I never like to leave bad reviews, but this company deserves it. Stay away from these guys.

The staff was friendly enough and the price was fine. The whole thing got off to a questionable start as we were trying to make the reservation. We first were on their website - you can't reserve anything on the website, you have to call the marina. We called and called and called...it would immediately go to voicemail and then indicate the voicemail box was full so we were unable to leave a message. We finally drove over to the marina as we were staying nearby. As we were in the marina office/store discussing the rental, the phone was ringing. The guy who appeared to be in charge kept hitting the decline call button even though he was just sitting at the counter not appearing to do anything. One of the "gotchas" with boat rentals is "prop insurance" - it's $50 extra, but if you return the prop with damage it supposedly costs $400 to fix it...we have been screwed over more times than I can count by boat rental companies alleging prop damage so we purchased the so called insurance (shake down). So, we made the rental for early in the week...the guy in charge indicated we were getting the "best boat" in their rental fleet. I honestly was a little taken aback by the boat when we arrived...it was beat all to hell, the carpet was moldy. There was mildew on the seat cushions. None of the instrument panel worked. The rental images on the webpage we're not even close to the clunker we rented. Our group was just looking for a way to get out on the lake to a quiet cove so we could get in the water and float around. This boat did the job, but it was probably the worst rental boat I have ever rented. There are some other rental options on the lake; I would look into those were I to be back in the area and wanting to rent a boat.

You could get just that or use it as one (1!) of your sides for entrees. I had the catfish dinner and it was a lot of catfish. They were cut in strips and the cornmeal breading was just right. They take care of the docks and slips and are very friendly to you. I like the extra security of all the docks being locked up. Located in Hendersonville on Old Hickory Lake, Creekwood allows you to easily get onto and around the lake from its location. There's plenty of parking for you and friends if you want to spend a day on the water. Slips can be pricey, but that's kind of part of owning a boat. And you see all different kinds of boats at Creekwood, from small fishing boats to huge houseboats. And there's a place to gas up right at the end of the docks before heading out for the day. It's location protects you from really choppy waters and there are plenty of little inlets to anchoring your boat and floating that are very close to the marina itself. Also, side note, there's a gas station right across the street if you run out of beer. I have always enjoyed my time and Creekwood and my friends who have slips here have been pleased as well. If you are interested in docking here give them a call. Also, they are part of the Nashville Boat Club, in case you want to take one of their boats out as a member...they have reasonable hours for those as well. I would recommend this place to seasoned or new boaters.

The cabin was moderately clean, the cable box in the bed room did not work and only one bed had a TV. By moderate I mean, there was dust in the corners, a couple of stink bugs leftover from the fall invasion and dust on most everything. That's the end of the bad stuff. We dealt with it and left it in better than we found it shape. Good stuff: Convenient to the lake, quiet, nice kitchen and large clean beds. We enjoyed our time and I would rent again in the same spot.
