Let me start by saying the food is good, but it is overpriced for the quality. My husband and I split a salad, pizza and each had a cocktail and the total was $70. The pizza toppings were TINY. We are talking "minced" and sparkling sprinkled. The "wedge" was good but hardly any lettuce and smothered in dressing and candied walnuts. The drinks were fine but around $15 a piece. Here's an example "what's good here, like what do you like", answer: "well I make my own stuff so....(goes silent). It's sizzle dining month and I've been excited to try as many locals restaurants as possible. We decided that we would give fathoms a go, I'm not sure I've been here before last weekend. We had a reservation and a large party but we were sat right away which is nice. Our server came over to greet us and was very nice throughout dinner. Things didn't come out super fast but I never expect that too much with a big group. Good thing we love catching up and that doesn't bother us. The food was pretty decent. I started off with the Waygu meatballs which were tasty but would have used a bit more sauce and cheese. For my entree I had the lamb which did come with veggies and potatoes ( I had asked for no veggies) my potatoes not pictured were very good! For dessert I had the chocolate cake which was really more of a chocolate moose and Omgsh was it delicious. So creamy and way to eat, although a bit rich but I loved it. We weren't there for an early dinner tonight. Evidently they have half-price pizza on Wednesdays. However, there is no change to the menu if you do not want to have something on your pizza like green peppers. They will not substitute green peppers for basil. This place is really nice and is near a bunch of fun scenic things. There is an entertainment plaza in the heart of the shopping center. And then in the back, is a breath taking harbor with all the cool boats docked and where the sunsets at the perfect angle from sitting outside. For our Appetizers we ordered the: Tsunami Rolls which were super fresh and flavorful. The Bavarian Style Soft Pretzel with a Honey Dijon Creamy Mustard was pretty good too. And the Goat Cheese Spread is phenomenal with the perfect amount of walnuts and bacon (sweet and salty ratio). My entree was the Cape Harbour Shrimp Mac & Cheese which different was a different twist on Cajun. The ubiquitous sauce was thick and creamy with the right amount of spice (not too spicy). My Family Ordered Entrees such as: Spicy Hawaiian Pizza, Burrata Caprese Salad with Chicken, and the Caesar Salad with Coconut Shrimp When getting sitting for our party of 11, we were able to get super fast and order our food. Fathoms is a great restaurant overlooking the water in Cape Coral. The food is wonderful. We started with Gorgonzola stuffed flatbread followed by fish and chips and pan seared grouper over risotto. Finally, we ended with a delicious Chocolate toffee cake. The fact that they were dog friendly and had heaters on the patio was a bonus on a chilly Florida night. We were regular customers of Fathoms. We are permanent residents so we supported them during the slow season. Last night we sat outside to listen to the band. We were sitting near three outdoor tables. Servers came out to those folks ignored us. We asked about a server and were told they were too busy to serve us. And it is not even peak season yet. We tried out Fathoms last evening. They hosted a Golden Retriever Rescue event on the outside patio part of their restaurant. That was what drew us. Located in the beautiful Cape Harbor Marina is a definite plus. There is the beautiful waterfront and some shopping all in one place. Predictably on a Friday evening, there was a 45 minute wait for a table. Not a problem. There was outdoor music and a bar. The time went by pleasantly. When we got seated, we had a table overlooking the Marina, right at sunset. My husband ordered the Cajun Mac and Cheese. It was delicious! Lots of andouille sausage and shrimp in it! I got the Wagyu Burger and fries. It was not a disappointment! Juicy and very flavorful! The fries were hot, golden and crispy. Our waitress couldn't have been any nicer. I visited Fathoms on a beautiful Saturday in March around 5 for dinner with a group of 8. We did not have a reservation and were able to be seated outside near the water immediately. The staff was attentive from the start bringing water for all and then promptly getting our drink orders. We got two bottles of red wine. They have a nice selection with a diverse price range. My husband and I always order two items and share. We ordered the seafood pizza and the lamb sausage. The seafood pizza was not flavorful unfortunately. Probably needs a bit of garlic or infused oil and salt. The lamb sausage was really great, the lamb flavor was strong which was unexpected. I love the flavor of lamb and wished I saw it more on menus like this in unique ways. The outdoor waterfront area is a real treat. Best to sit outside on a nice day. read more

The giant pretzel is a must and do yourself a favor and order a side of cheese to go with it. We got in to Cape Coral late afternoon/early evening and by the time we got to our accommodations we were famished. Fathoms is only a few blocks and it was getting late so we came on by and glad we did. For a Saturday night it wasn't too crowded so we were seated right away and chose the outdoor seating overlooking the boat docks. The staff here are very friendly. With our drink orders taken and brought to us we order our meals. Bourbon Street Mac and cheese loaded with seafood and a shrimp risotto. Both meals were delicious and hit the spot. I'm told they have live entertainment on Tuesdays and Saturdays. May be coming back for lunch before we leave the Cape. read more

I've lived in the Cape for 7 years and can't believe it's taken me that long to dine at Fathoms. Food, ambiance and service were all superb! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Fathoms. We started off with their salmon ceviche and it was delicious. I had the lobster roll and that was delicious too. We ended our meal with dulce de Leche mousse which was creamy and very yummy. After driving all day down to Cape Coral, we want to find a place with outside seating and Fathom's came in clutch. The staff is all wearing masks and there are tons of open seats outside right off The water. It was very open and felt safe. I ordered the burger and it was pretty good! Sitting on Fathoms porch overlooking the marina is wonderful. "DONT LOOK DOWN you will be looking at bird droppings and dirty porch. The door leading to the porch is disgusting! This restaurant could make the mark if they would hose down the porch and clean tables. If they want it be upscale to match the price make it more desirable. Tables are not attractive, put tablecloths or have candles on tables to make them inviting! Also flower planters would be attractive! We would love for this area to attract people to drive from all over to dine. PS All the porch decks in Harborer are disgusting and need to be cleaned daily.Oyster Grill,French press unsanitary for a resort area. Clean it up and people will come through out the year. But they really need to retrain this crew about how to cook a burger. Wagyu beef burger was over cooked... twice! Blackened Mahi Sandwich over cooked dried and mushy tomatoes. Don't forget guys is a restaurant is all about the food. Drinks, wine, ambient, furniture, service, is important but is all about the food. Maybe looks just like a "remake" order but is a little more from customer perspective, Affect the Experience, moment, expectation, time and money in a Covid world. I can't believe my last review here was when it was called The Joint. It has been Fathoms for several years now and I wanted to take the time to update. First of all, it's in a great location right on the water in Cape Harbor. You can choose outdoor or indoor seating and dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating areas. Unlike most other waterfront restaurants, they are not a seafood heavy spot - in a good way. It's a nice refreshing change for my husband, a non fish/seafood eater, not to have to order a burger because we want to be on the waterfront. The quality of the food here is outstanding as is the service. We typically sit outside either in the promonade area where the outdoor bar is or along the back side of the restaurant however, last night it was quite chilly and windy so we selected a high top table near the indoor bar. Our server here was the bartender and although the bar was extremely busy, she was able to handle our table without any extra wait or prolonged "empty glasses". What we love on the menu here are: Tropical Ahi Tuna - very unique appetizer with raw tuna, avocado and cashews, chicken and lemongrass dumplings (omg so good - served in a broth), beef carpaccio and the tsunami roll (a sushi roll made with krab and tuna - sweet and spicy). For our main courses they have great pizza, salmon, steak and my favorite salad is the black angus steak salad. The prices are not cheap however, the quality of food is far superior to many other restaurant's here in the Cape. They have live music several nights weekly. I actually prefer to go on nights they don't have the music. It's less crowded and you can actually hear your conversation if you're outside. read more
