I sound like the epitome of a snob. (Sorry.) Unless the recommendation is made by someone from NYC, or someone who has had NY pizza -- not pizza from Oshkosh that promotes itself as NY -- I'm not likely to run out for a pie. Or a slice. (I already said I'm sorry!) When T, a southerner who grew up with Pizza Hut, said Joe Daddy's Pizza is great, my snotty answer was "I'll be the judge of that!" (I think it's human nature to gravitate to what we had as kids.) Son-of-a-gun, I agreed with him! (And apologized.) While not quite 5 stars, it's pretty darn good, with the right amount of cheese, the requisite fold of the crust, an acceptable amount of grease. I was pleased. And for what it's worth, they don't even tout themselves as NY style. If you were a fan of Joe Daddy's before, but wary of returning with new management, you might want to give 'em a go. Next time we're gonna get a Sicilian pie, which I haven't seen in many places since I've moved. read more

This is handTV s-down, the best pizza I have had it while living in Florida! The cheese is real mozzarella, not that fake stuff and the crust is so good too! I'm from Chicago so pizza is something I am very picky about I know this is New York but I also know New York is awesome pizza too! Not as good as it used to be. I'm not sure if it's the same owner but the pizza doesn't taste like it used to. The sauce had no flavor; it tasted like they opened a can of tomato's and just put it on the pizza. read more

Not too impressed.... The best thing I could say is the dough/crust was very good. Very light and crispy. Customer service was also very great. The pizza though was very mediocre. We also ordered garlic knots that tasted old and hard not soft like fresh knots. And the chicken parm sub was very soggy and mediocre there was not a lot of attention put into the making of it. The mozzarella sticks are the only genuinely good thing I've had here. The service is great but the food quality is sub par in my opinion. The wings taste like dominos spongey wings if you're into that with bad store bought sauce and I tried their pizza today which I would compare closest to little Cesars. It tastes like fancy little cesars and for the price I don't feel it's worth it. read more

This small place in a strip of stores caught our eye due to some yelp reviews. We were looking for a non fancy lunch and this fit the bill. There was only one other patron when we entered. They did a couple pickups and a couple people came in for slices while we were there. But it was pretty quiet. Quiet enough for the man who made our pizza to tell us he was from Pennsylvania and was still friends with all his classmates from grammar school (!)... Instead of getting slices, we decided to order a whole pizza and take the leftovers, if any, to our friends. We ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza. After helping ourselves to drinks (they carry Pepsi products), it wasn't too long a wait before he delivered our hot out of the oven pizza. The sliced mushrooms were fresh and the sausage pieces were tasty. The cheese was a good quality and melted nicely. The crust had a nice texture and was flavorful. We each added our favorites -- he likes to add crushed red peppers and garlic; I just opt for a bit of salt and maybe some oregano. All in all quite a decent pizza. There's so much bad pizza out there. I'm a bit spoiled having grown up with New Haven style pizza (look it up). And I don't care for deep dish Chicago style (this isn't). But if you like northeastern style, this will certainly do nicely. read more

Pizza is delicious but customer service was lacking. The guy acting like he didn't want to serve. No welcome, no goodbye - basically placed the food on the table and left. Pizza very good nice & thin but for a place that calls its self NY pizza and can't get a slice of pizza @ 7:30 being single and only wanting a slice or two this place is not for me sorry to say And staff seemed happy that they don't served slices at night 3 times there 3 times no plain slices And only 7:30 at night and open till when on a Friday?? My best pizza ever?! What a lucky choice. I'm staying over for one night in Cape Coral and I went to this absolutely fantastic place near my AirBnB. Didn't even expect to come across what is probably now the pizzas I ever had. Ordered at the counter (no waitress, no waiting) a works pie as soon as I got there along with a tap beer. Met a couple from Jersey so we started shooting the bull and before u know it my food arrived at the table. The crust was amazing (brick oven), the ingredients were well-proportioned and tasted great, but the cheese and especially the sauce were perfect. So perfect that it may be the best or tied for the best sauce I ever tasted! How can that be? Tied with Papa's Tomato Pies back in Trenton NJ. In this little place in a strip mall. Cape Coral, I hope you know how good you have it! Bravo Joe Daddy!! Oh and BTW, took home a pepperoni & sausage pie for the next day...even better. read more

Only serve soft drinks, but of server said we could BYOB. Walked next door to Publix and bought a few beers to drink with our pizza.
