The sign for Fattys is small and we walked by it twice. Once we were inside, their liquor collection was IMPRESSIVE. The bartender was really nice and answered all our questions and gave some great recommendations. It would be awesome if they had a cocktail menu, he said they are working on it, as that would cut down on all the questions. We were there early in the evening, but they were filling up as we left, and it would be inconvenient to have to detail their craft cocktails while there was a line. All that said, the drinks were great. They use fresh ingredients and the bartender has skills! We left before karaoke started, but people were showing up JUST for that. We were first timers last night! We decided to go try out steak night and the food, friendly bartenders and bourbon selection did not disappoint. Being first timers we were a little set back by the local surroundings before we entered, it could be a cool space outside but it needs a lot of TLC! Fatty arbuckles was a little hard to spot for us as first time guests but we spied the steaks coming across the way from their kitchen and found it! We sat at the bar which was full of customers enjoying steaks We ordered a ribeye to share. My husband started talking bourbon to decide what he would order. Both bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable and they made me a superb margarita! Our steak arrived and it was melt in your mouth delicious along with sides of potatoes and roasted broccoli. Came here the other night to have some drinks with my buddies. I found it to be pretty nice with the kind of crowd that I like to hang out with. The drinks were phenomenal and didn't break the bank which is my favorite part. The atmosphere here is perfect to come with friends after work and have a drink or two. I've also come here with my girlfriend and she loves to get them drinks here. The drinks are very expensive so you can really have quite a few of them which is a plus I've been at night when your bill isn't too big. I'm always coming here with my friends and we always have a great time. If you ever want to have a great time this is the place to go. If you were to Google the term dive bar, a picture of this place should come up. This place definitely epitomizes every assumption of what a dive bar should be. Bad Karaoke, decent drinks, the obligatory drunk half asleep on the bar, the bachelorette party objectifying men... you're guaranteed to find one or all of these things on any given night. I googled places to go, things to do while in Shreveport. My girlfriends took me on quick birthday weekend there. With my birthday being the 17th, St Patrick's Day....I saw the bar was doing something special for St Patrick's Day. However, for some odd reason....me and my girlfriends, all 50 and up, because one of us did not have her id on her. Now it was around 2pm in the afternoon and there were no one in the place. And my friend stated, I'm not going to drink we just want to eat and see the festivities planned for St Patrick's Day. These people just looked at us, it was ridiculous. It was obvious to me, that we weren't welcomed, at least that's the feeling we all got. It didn't make sense, needless to say, If you are of a "different" persuasion...you might not be able to enter as well! My friend wanted to walk back to the room and get her id, but I wouldn't spend a single dime in a place where I'm not welcomed! Overall, I felt Shreveport itself wasn't very welcoming to people of our persuasion, we had another incident the next night! I will never go back there, and if there is another restaurant in another city, I will never forget how this perticular incident left me feeling, and not interested at all! read more

We've stopped by here a few times when we're in town. The place is open when most other places in the area are closed, so that's convenient. The bartenders have always been really nice, and chatty. I just moved to Shreveport about a month ago and this hands down my favorite place in town. The staff is friendly, there is a LARGE amount of whisky to choose from (which I enjoy), and is a very laid back environment. If you're looking for a nice place too hangout I recommend this place. read more

No longer a live music venue (check out sister bar Bear's on Fairfield for all of your live music desires), it has been newly remodeled with a beautiful bartop and patio area, and there's an impressive craft cocktail list & import/craft beer selection to go along with it. No menus here, just ask your bartender for what's new and other recommendations. Great low-key hang out for any day of the week. This place is okay but they always charge a cover for a live band that half the time no one even wants to listen too. The cover is too pricey for this overcrowded joint... def need something better to bring me in for $10. When they aren't charging a cover I always stop by just to see whats going on. read more

Preston from Fatty Arbuckles is the man!! I went to Shreveport for one night to see an old friend, we ended up there and had a blast. Drinking and dancing. I left my credit card by accident and Preston is sweet enough to mail it home to me all the way in Colorado!! Classy. Great spot to party!! read more

I have done karaoke in dozens of locations throughout Texas and Louisiana, but this place has probably been the most irritating. These guys play two karaoke songs followed by two dj songs every rotation, regardless of the number of singers up to sing. If it wasn't for the great bartenders, I'd give this place 1 star. The karaoke isn't enjoyable at all. It's people moonlighting to make extra money who don't know the job. Singers shouldn't have to tell the kj how to do their job. Monitors too low, music muddy from poor mixing, uninvolved kj when it comes to announcing singers, interrupting singers at the end of their songs for garbage dj music, the list goes on. Sign up first? They don't respect that. Rotation order? They don't care, better make sure you sign up immediately after singing or you'll get screwed on your place. Not only all that, but the show didn't start even remotely on time. 11pm is the billed time, started dj music about 1130, which lasted for nearly 1/2 an hour. If you're in Bossier/Shreveport looking for karaoke, don't bother with this place. read more

This is painful because I've always loved this place. I'm only in the area about once a year, but I stop in EVERY time, regardless of what side of the river I'm on. I left my current ID in my "Travel fold" at home. Uncle passed; left in a hurry; my fault. I ordered an Angel's Envy Rye. It's hard to come by, but that's why I go to Fatty Arbuckle's. They have hard-to-get amazing stuff. Young girl that I would have carded asked me, a fifty year old, for my ID. I chuckled and gave it to her. Keep in mind that my current one is in my travel fold that I left at home. After pouring the hard -to-get Blissful rye, she says she can't serve me because the ID I have is out of date. I get it, when you're serving kids, but I'm FIFTY. She stated that "state law says...." and she's wrong. I work in the industry and started in Louisiana. Her "sorry" was cold and, most of all, she didn't care that she poured her owner's whiskey over ice BEFORE telling a paying customer he couldn't have it.
