Today was my first time visiting Sauvage and I'll definitely be back. Went for the brunch and the shrimp and grits were really flavorful. There could've been more grits as it was a lot of sauce and maybe a slice of bread to go with it, but nonetheless it was good. My only other complaint was that I didn't taste the peach in my peach Bellini. My waitress was really nice and attentive, and the music selection was good. I was celebrating my birthday and asked if they would be able to write happy birthday on the dessert I ordered and they did! read more

A nice little brunch spot! They have quite the variety on their menu and the staff did a wonderful job with suggesting options since it was our first time there. The dining area was set up perfectly spaced so everyone's experience was intimate. The chicken fried steak is done with NY strip and it was absolutely delicious. Food presentation was everything at Sauvage!! Upon entry, there's a large bar area with the regular seating at the back. The bar area looks like normal seating but with a vibrant vibe. Our waitress was sweet, thorough and patient. She was knowledgeable about the daily specials and gave great recommendations. Asian Nachos: Off the charts!!! I definitely wasn't expecting them to be so good! The wonton chips with the tuna and mixes of sauces...amazing!! Highly recommended!! Brunch Burger: flavorful, rich, juicy. Highly recommend as well. No No No! This place is not worth the money. Between my partner and I we spent $140 for drinks, dinner, and appetizers. But for the price paid I would expect the service and food quality to be spectacular and Sauvage is so far from it. Our server was rude, she acted like she owned the place and we were beneath her. I ordered the chimichurri steak a very expensive meal for 12oz of steak which is strip steak not the traditional skirt steak you would expect to pair with Chimichurri sauce. But heck, we're in Shreveport and this the first time I saw an Argentinian based menu option. I specifically asked that the egg which comes with the meal be cooked over medium to which the server said "runny?" which I confirmed. My partner ordered the Sauvage burger, medium. The steak was such a let down after the first bite. The chimichurri sauce tasted as if the chef tossed garden salad in a blender and called it good. Where's the taste of parsley and cilantro!? Texture was runny and watery. Take this off your menu if you can't respect to make Chimichurri properly. What's more is that the egg came over cooked. My partners burger was medium rare, almost entirely raw in the middle. Our friends that dined with us ordered a substitution of green beans instead of the asparagus that came with his meal. The server realized her mistake after she was clearing our table. She said she will go back and talk to the chef. A few minutes later she returns to tell us that the chef said he will not give us the substitution because the waitress should have not forgot to tell the chef earlier! ARE YOU KIDDING ME, WE ARE ASKING FOR THE GREEN BEANS THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME WITH HIS DISH. I've never seen this EVER. There is so much better in Shreveport/Bossier but you've got to try someplace once to really get to judge it. This is definitely a place we will not recommend. read more

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was thoroughly disappointed. My food was ordered a simple burger and it took an HOUR for the food to come. Customers seated 30 minutes after me received their food. My simple order of a burger was over cooked and the fries were over salted. I have gone here on several occasions for Sunday Brunch with my family and absolutely love it!! They fill up pretty quickly so I advise you to make a reservation. I would give them 5 stars, but my most recent visit was left lacking in the service department. They are always busy and I think maybe a little short staffed but my father and I waited for our check for at least 15 minutes. I had to go into the bar section to tell our waiter we were ready to check out because it was taking so long. Overall the food and drinks are great but they should work on service speed! Although the host / server/ bartender/ multitasker encouraged us to take the table in the corner. It was perfect. The service was perfect. I usually keep receipts so I can compliment them by name but I didn't retain it this time. (Dinner for 2 $34) everything was well executed. My only complaint is that the spicy in my dish wasn't enough- and how smashed potato was like- really buttery. Idk maybe less butter more salt. Buster said they were the best smashed potato ever. So - as opinions go that's a wash. My dinner was a HH special for $10- and the beer was also HH $2 so dinner for 2 was $34. read more

The Lemon Piccata Chicken is where it is at! So, so good! The portion size is decent but if you are a hungry guy that needs a bigger portion then you may want to also order an appetizer so that you do not leave hungry. The Filet Mignon burgers with homemade fries are the very next best thing, especially on Tuesdays when the burgers are a special price of $10.00 for the burger and fries ($1.00 extra if you want cheese). You definitely should not be hungry after this meal! The restaurant is beautifully designed and comfortable for dining in dressy clothes and special occasions or more casual attire when you just want a good meal without having to get too dressed up. Can't remember the name, but when my server said they sell out quickly, I ordered it. Atmosphere was clean and modern and the cocktails didn't disappoint either. The environment is comfortable and the service was great. We tried multiple cocktails and you cannot go wrong. Chef Bridges popped into the library to explain the various courses. I don't do many reviews. Typically only when they are great but in this case it is the opposite. Worse treatment of customers that I've ever experienced. Second time in a row to go with awful service and rude ownership. When a bartender yells across a restaurant to tell a table that hasn't even been fully seated yet that "they can't stay all day" and the owner is standing by approving of such a message and method of yelling across a restaurant, this is not a restaurant that I will be visiting again. We used to visit on a fairly regular basis from the time that they opened until our last trip today. Last time we tried to eat there we were seated for almost 30 minutes before the server arrived at our table. We gave it one more shot today but it's a hard no. Prior to that, that food has been ok. My wife enjoyed it so we visited frequently but I compare it to Applebees or Chilis. The atmosphere is relaxing. Food is descent, service and ownership/management needs major work on customer service. read more

Tried Sauvage for the first time this past Saturday. Greeted promptly when went in the door. Hostess/waitress stated because they weren't busy were we ok sitting in bar because no one was in main dining room. We said yes and that should have been a red flag given it was 6:45 on a Saturday. Waitress presented specials. Hubby decided to try beef Wellington and I did schnitzel. Ordered tea and hubby drink. Was told there was no tea and they would have to brew some. Thought strange but said ok. Food came out about 25 minutes later. Beef Wellington was rare and crust was slightly doughy. Hubby said he wasn't going to send back because he could still eat though he didn't normally like rare and red. My schnitzel was average. When we received our ticket we were surprised beef Wellington was $60! Our fault for not asking but didn't imagine it would be nearly three times the cost of any other entree on menu. For the cost of two entrees, one tea and a drink being over $100, food definitely did not live up to cost. We will not return because quality of food did not deem cost. We would definitely rather go to Fat Calf Brasserie because their food exceeds value even though we spent the same amount!! Interestingly if above review doesn't discourage you from going, how about they never sat anyone in main dining room before we left at 7:45! came here for an anniversary with my girl and it was absolutely phenomenal. Our server Charlie gave me the best service i've ever had. the charcuterie board was soooo good. my girlfriend is a big charcuterie board person and was very inspired. for our entree i got the Argentinian style strip and she got filet and let me tell ya. it was amazing. this is a must dine for any couple for a fancy date night. and the prices are very reasonable. 10/10 read more

We both had the filet which were listed as 7 oz on the menu, but we're pretty tiny - closer to 5 oz. They were done nicely. The accompanying asparagus was 3 spears, so - meh. Love the lazy susan so we could spin it around to share the apps. My shrimp and grits was AMAZING. And the mac and cheese burger...wow! We all had a bite of it. Best burger in town! The mashed potatoes that came with the chicken fried steak were the best I've tasted. Delicious desserts! We tried the creme brûlée and the key lime pie; both were top notch. The place is cute. We were really excited to try the place. Their food we had wasn't that great, though. If eggs Benedict is your #1 breakfast choice you try wherever you go, like me... don't get it here, you will be disappointed. We got the crab cake Beni and the steak benni, the steak had no flavor and really made the English muffin soggy, and the hollandaise was super bland.
