Ive been coming to this store since I was about 9 years old. Over the years, I've noticed the prices have become very expensive, but what finally made me leave a review was the customer service. One employee has consistently had an unfriendly attitude toward both me and my mom, while acting cheerful and welcoming to the customer right behind us. It's happened enough times that it doesn't feel like a one-time bad day. I've never written a review about an employee before, but after these past few weeks I felt it was worth mentioning. I've never had a problem with any of the other employees, they're very nice. I hope management looks into it because everyone deserves to be treated with the same level of respect. read more

Fantastic selection for a quick stock up for a trip! Easy to walk to from a few hotels on white street. Staff is super nice and there are plenty of quick deli options for a nice lunch or snack. Easy to grab a pack of beer or seltzers or wine too. Normal grocery necessities as well, fully stocked. read more

Christmas Nochebuena dinner for 4-6 was perfect! After spending time in the Keys, we were looking for a way to enjoy a wonderful dinner as a family without having to eat at a restaurant or have me cooking all day. Enter Fausto's catering for the holiday save. We ordered from out of state and everything was perfect when we arrived. It was simple to reheat and there was more than enough food for multiple meals. Horrified by how I was treated by the cashiers here. I put a bottle of wine down on the conveyer belt and he looked at me disgusted and put it upright. I then got scolded for looking around where I should put my empty basket. Two customers before me noticed how I was being treated and tried to be friendly, which was extremely appreciated because I felt very uncomfortable and confused as to why I was being treated that way. The bagger didn't put the wine in separate brown wine bags and clearly they knew I was walking, bag broke a block away a bottle of wine broke. Very overpriced, which is fine and ok being a vacation spot but the behavior of the employees was just so rude. I never write bad reviews but felt compelled to. I would think twice about giving this place business. I would give 0 stars if that was allowed by yelp. read more

Mostly writing this review to answer some questions I had about price comparison and availability compared to other local markets. First off, it is pretty over priced so if you're in a car take the extra five mins and drive down to Publix. We did Instacart to our Airbnb and it was still way more inexpensive. Their alcohol is reasonably priced and about on par with offerings elsewhere. Plus instacart will get ya with a 10 dollar alcohol delivery charge. Their steaks and seafood are more expensive than other local offerings. Ribeye here while it looked amazing was 34 bucks a pound compared to 11 at Publix. Seafood I would go with Eaton or Publix. The cost was identical to Eaton but Eaton seafood looked WAY more fresh! The key thing at Fausto's is the deli counter and prepared foods. We tried various things but the chicken salad, tuna salad and pasta salad ended up being a delicious and inexpensive lunch several days! read more

JUST ROLLED INTO TOWN AND NEED SOME GROCERIES? PLANNING A FISHING TRIP OR PERHAPS A DAY AT THE BEACH? Fausto's is a great stop to get your Boar's Head deli sandwiches (see pics), chips, beer, beverages and other last minute needs before you head out. For $6.15ea we purchased the largest meat filled deli made sandwiches I've ever seen. (See pics) Yes, you will pay more than the food giant in many areas, but the convenience can easily outweigh the difference when you are in a pinch, just need a few items and don't want to fight the traffic. With a long time family owned business and reputation in Key West, it is the local comforts of a small town grocer that make both Fausto's markets a stand out. The location referenced in this specific review is on White Street and is the smaller of the two grocers. GREAT ADVANTAGES - (see pics of interior) - Family owned mini mart with a little bit of everything - The deli and check out staff are pleasant and helpful - There is minimal to no wait line to get your orders in - Call ahead for larger orders for pick-up - With two convenient Old Town locations, you don't have to trudge to new town to Publix - Easy in and out - Car, scooter and bike parking at both locations MISHAPS - - My cuban roast beef sandwich came with onions and it was not on my check list. It was also missing the banana peppers which is kind of odd to me since they have the check list right in front to review when building them. Nonetheless, the sandwich was delicious and the bread very fresh and soft. - My husbands roast beef on a roll order was correct. I was really shocked how nice it was inside because it looked like an old store front.and. Only a couple blocks from Hogg's beach and they have every item you need for a day at the beach. It's not that big inside but it looks like a mini supermarket with all the different sections. The meats and produce looked fresh plus it was neat and clean inside. read more

Faustos is an old time convienent grocery/deli. The freshly made salads such as the curried chicken salad with nuts and grapes, is addicting, I have been eating it for 20 years. The daily baked delivered mango bread goes fast in the morning. Arora behind the deli counter is welcoming, personable and an extremely hard worker. I find all my necessities and the staff is helpful and great, even though understaffed like most other businesses. read more

A great little store on white street. So easy to get to, very walkable. Good sandwiches and a great place to stock up on picnic things. Small and cozy, sometimes the fruit is getting a bit over ripe, but hey it is key west, not like you are going to stock up for a month. Support it, so it will stay around and be there for the future. Absolutely the freshest in everything when it comes to the deli, produce or even milk ...the wine selection is unbeatable... I know as a local my family and I have been coming there for decades ... The Fausto's here on White Street is a great family owned market with ample parking to stop in and grab some blown away (albeit pricey) meats to throw on the bbq, fairly limited selection of fresh seafood, nice assortment of prepared deli items and made to order sandwiches for a picnic at the beach. Nice selection of fruits and veggies, but these are definitely more expensive than fighting the traffic to make it to one of the larger grocers. The quality of the meats and deli items alone, is a reason to stop into Fausto's. (If you are closer to Duval, that is definitely a larger store with more of a selection.) read more

Really sorry to give this place only two stars, since most of the store, and most of its features, deserve more like 4 stars, but what dropped it to 2 stars is the fact that the pre-packaged refrigerated sushi that this market sells (in the rear, near the deli counter), bears no ingredients list on the packages, and bears no warning labels anywhere on the package to the effect that the sushi is loaded with MSG. Now, the sad fact of the matter is that a great many people, including even many people of Chinese ancestry, and also including myself, are, due to their genetic inheritance, very sensitive to MSG, and develop massive headaches, or even migraines, or other disabling symptoms when they disable more than tiny traces of dietary MSG. And, while the sushi made in 99 percent of real sushi bars never contains MSG, the sad reality is that much of the cheaper grade mass market pre-packaged sushi offered in supermarkets and even in small markets such as this store DO contain MSG, and often in rather incredible amounts. I made the mistake of purchasing two packages of the sushi offered at this Fausto's during my recent stay in Key West. The packages, as noted above, bore no warning that the stuff contained MSG, and the store clerk whom I asked about the possibility expressed ignorance, since the stuff is made by an outside vendor, but suggested that it was highly unlikely that the stuff contained MSG. Well, I made the mistake of eating some of the sushi from those two packages, and, like so much cheap mass-market pre-packaged sushi, it turned out that it was LOADED with MSG, and I developed an almost-instant MSG-induced headache that lasted for two days. Other than the mislabeled pre-packaged sushi incident, this store is pretty good. They have a good selection of items, including some organic items, and many natural items, and the staff is, in general, helpful and cheerful. read more

Had everything I needed within walking distance to where we were staying. Prices were a little higher than the big supermarkets, but that to be expected. Cute store, friendly staff, lots of locally made foods (love the support for the local vendors), fresh veggies, bread, deli and a seafood section. Definitely a go to spot if you just need to pick up a few supplies. read more
