Don't expect anything fancy, it's basically a neighborhood corner market that sells a lot of Eastern European meats and foods. You go inside and order from the cash register and then wait out on the front porch at the window for your order. We just had an order of potato and cheese pierogis that came with sour cream, they were delicious. It can be hard to find, and you probably have to park across the street along the curb since there are only two spots in front of the market. They have seating with little table tops to eat at on the porch. read more

This is a little Polish hidden gem in the Key West ! The place is filled with a ton of Polish products ranging from candy to canned meats as well as many beers to choose from! They also serve hot food but after asking for some things they said they didn't have them and only had few things which was very disappointing. Seems like they don't update the menu availability at all you just have to hope for the best that what you're looking for is available the day you go. Their food menu is pretty decent with a lot of different dish which are staples of Polish cuisine. I would definitely come back here again to see what hot food is available and get some Polish groceries. read more

Something like a three or four, this Euro grocery gets. The kitchen was closed up for summer or Covid or whatever but you could pretty much make anything you want from the really cool International foodstuffs on offer. Interesting selections of beers, condiments, chocolates and candies, all sorts of really cool stuffs. We ended up grabbing up some perogies, a few beers, lots of chocolates, and enjoyed our own little Euro Trip party in the crib. I hate to be the person who leaves a bad review for a place that has a huge menu on their front porch but doesn't serve food, but that's what this is. I walked all the way here from my hotel hoping for some delicious polish food and was excited that the place was open and had a nice menu right out front. We decided what we wanted, walked in ready to order, only to be told that they aren't serving food. Why in the world have a giant menu out front then? I mean this is really irritating. Valerie W. teased me for coming here and said I'm probably the only person who'd seek out and find Polish goodies on a tropical vacation. It's a badge I'm proud to wear. The shit is legit! The shop itself is a bit small, but it's packed with tons of cookies, juices, spices and other favorites from the Eastern Bloc! They have a nice selection of smoked meats and cheeses near the register, too. But the kitchen is what you need to come for! An hour after the shop opens, a small window on the side opens and the kitchen starts churning out some of the best pierogi I've found in the US. I ordered a dozen cheese/potato and a dozen meat. They even have sour cream available there, so I didn't have to stop anywhere before going back to my friends' place and digging in. I know Polish cuisine might be odd in the Keys, but you need to make a stop here! read more

Steer clear and head for open water. These people must moonlight at the gates of hell. Being of polish decent I was excited to find this a few blocks from the AirBnB, hoping I could rely on it for lunch. They seemed very surprised to have customers and were out of several items. Although the pierogis did seem to be homemade, everything else was caked in dust and appeared as if it's hay-day had long past. The (possible) owners made the experience as transactional as they could and appeared to want us gone once our pierogis were done. There is a for sale sign in front, and for their sake, I hope it sells. They don't seem happy nor do they want anyone happy. read more

It's run by a Polish family and it's not much bigger than your average bedroom size, but it's chock full of authentic sweets, sausages, pierogis, and canned goods. We grabbed a few packages of the homemade frozen pierogis and cooked them up at home. You don't know what you're missing if you're eating pierogis from your local chain grocery store. Now I'm back home in Buffalo, NY and craving these like nobody's business. What have I done to myself?! read more

First, let me state clearly at the start of my review that this review is ONLY for the take-out food window located on the left side of the porch (to the left of the store's door), and which is open for only considerably shorter hours than the market/store itself. The porch covers the ordering window, and also provides some makeshift stools that allow sitting at nearrow shelves built on the porch railing. I ordered a number of take out items from this place repeatedly across a recent 8-day stay in Key West at a nearby hotel. The menu for the take-out window is quite extensive, and offers quite a few foods from Eastern European countries. The quality of the food is quite good. However, in general, and largely due to the incredibly tiny kitchen space, it takes the staff quite a bit of time to prepare any one food item once it has been ordered, although most of the order window staffers make an effort to provide very accurate estimates regarding how long it will take to prepare the foods that were ordered; wait times of 10, 15, 20 and 25 minutes are not at all unusual, even at times when you are the only customer, and on days when they are crowded, well, wait times can be quite extraordinary! I stayed in Key West and visited this place during the off-season, aka the low season, in August of 2014, and during my 8-day stay in the area, the posted hours (on a large sign mounted on the porch near the take-out window) were stated as 11 AM through at least 7 PM pretty much every day, and these were also the hours that the staffers would recite if asked. The reality was far different, however, perhaps simply because it was the low season for Key West, and in reality, I NEVER found the take-out window open even by 11:30 or 11:40 AM on most days of my stay, and sometimes it was not open even at 12:30 PM or 1 PM. On several of the many days when the take-out window was still not open by about 45 minutes after the posted opening times, I would go inside the little store/market and ask the person at the counter if and when the take-out window was going to actually open. And, each time I did this, the check-out counter person acted a bit surprised, and a bit embarrassed, likely over the fact that the kitchen was not yet open, and then they would invariably grab a nearby cell phone and call someone and jabber in some kind of Eastern European language for about 30 seconds, after which they would put the phone down and tell me that if I were to come back in an hour, I would find the take-out window open, albeit quite belatedly! And yes, when I returned an hour or two later, I always did find the take-out window open! Most of the staff who work at the take-out window are quite helpful and pleasant. There is one exception, an older man who seems to not only have a very hard time understanding even the simplest English-language statements, but also seems to have very poor short-term memory retention, and some other major cognitive difficulties as well. The shop and take-out kitchen would really be doing themselves a major favor by keeping this older man away from any customer interactions at the take-out ordering window, but I suspect that he is part of the family that owns the place, and thus it may be very hard for them to actually put this rule of thumb into practice! read more

They have so really good cold cuts, even some caviar and many Eastern European delicacies. We had the Polish plate special. The stuffed cabbage and the hunter stew were ok. We showed up at around 5:30 pm and were told that the café was already closed even though their menu as well as yelp say the hours are until 7:00 pm during the week. The sales people were not friendly or responsive. There was one guy in front of me, and the sales guy kept talking to him even after the check-out. I understand that the Keys is a chill lifestyle place, but you have a paying customer waiting for you to stop yapping at the workplace. Maybe, I should have eaten all the ice-cream there and left. To say the least, there is a total lack of politeness. They look careless or even angry, and aren't accustomed to a civilized form of basic greeting, and appreciating the customers despite the very little traffic at the store. I was really excited to find this place. I took a walk here while my laundry was drying at the Marina. I tried the pierogi's from the cafe window. They were served the way by grandfather liked them, with sauted onions and sour cream. They weren't as good as I would have hoped for. I also had a Dadu ice cream. The market though is great. Full of Polish and other Eastern European goods. Pierogies and sausage. Cheese, butter, chocolate, cooking mixes. I wish I had brought a bag to pick up groceries in. If I am in Key West again I'll definitely stop by here again. I'll skip the cafe window, but do some grocery shopping. read more

Amazing Pierogi! (Pierogi is the plural folks, stop adding an "s" at the end) We always order from here when we visit Key West. I'm Polish and very particular about my Pierogi, Mrs T's are never an acceptable option. Lol. We always get a few dozen of the potato and cheese and a mixed dozen of the mushroom and sauerkraut and the meat. They aren't the quickest, so it's always good to order ahead of time and pick up. Excellent little Polish market, and picked up a stuffed cabbage dinner while I was there as well. Stuffed cabbage was really good, along with the fresh mashed potatoes.
