Stopped by for a quick coffee and snack, and I have to say--this place definitely lives up to its name! The coffee was fantastic--smooth, bold, and just the right strength. I also couldn't resist trying the empanadas, and they were amazing. We sampled all three, but the shredded beef one was hands down our favorite--flaky, savory, and packed with flavor. The colada was perfect as well--sweetened just right, not too overpowering, but enough to give it that sweet kick. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It's the kind of spot that makes you feel like you're part of the neighborhood. I'll definitely be coming back for more coffee and empanadas!

This is a great spot for Cuban Coffee and for Cuban sandwiches, breakfast and lunch. For full details see johntannersbbqblog and search "best coffee"

The best coffee in Key West, in my opinion. I would highly recommend this place.

The coffee is wonderful. The breakfast was very good as well. I asked the owner about the coffee, and he brought out a handful of freshly roasted coffee beans, and it smelled so good. I have been back twice and plan on going again tomorrow. Very nice and clean place to grab a Cuba coffee and get on with your day. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Hidden local spot. So delicious and definitely one of our favorite places to go. Great Cuban coffee and traditional Cuban food.

This place needs a serious name change. We ordered 2 black coffee and we ended up tossing in the garbage 1 block away. Awful!

For a few bucks you can get enough Cuban espresso to to keep the entire neighborhood awake all night. These coladas are 2 legit 2 quit.

The restaurant is tucked away on a back street, far from the usual tourist spots, which adds to its charm. The food is authentic Cuban cuisine -- and I say that after decades of living in and around Hudson County, NJ, where the Cuban community is large and vibrant. At El Siboney, everything tastes fresh and homemade, with generous portions and prices that are refreshingly reasonable for Key West. This visit, I ordered the whole fried yellow snapper, served with yuca, yellow rice, and beans. My dinner companion had the Siboney skirt steak, one of the restaurant's popular dishes, served with a choice of sides. Both meals were excellent. Dessert was equally impressive: a delicious slice of tres leches cake and silky vanilla custard that were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Dinner for two, including dessert and tip, came to about $100 -- a great value for the quality and quantity of food. El Siboney remains one of my favorite places to eat in Key West.

The food is authentic, flavorful, and consistently delicious. My go-to is the vaca frita with rice, black beans, and fried plantains. Crispy, seasoned beef with all those classic Cuban sides--it's a combination that never disappoints. Service was quick! No wait on this visit but thats not always the case. But this place is about more than just the food. The atmosphere is absolutely awesome. The exposed brick, old photographs, Cuban flags, artwork, aviation pieces, historical documents, and memorabilia make the restaurant feel almost like a small Cuban history museum. There's something interesting everywhere you look, and it really adds to the experience. After eating here for more than 15 years, I can confidently say it has remained one of my must-stops in the Keys. The majority Ordered the breaded fried chicken "Pollo empanisado" The chicken was overcooked but rubber like it seemed to me like when you take frozen chicken and try to defrost fast ... we left the chicken and ate the rice and black beans alone. The plantains were hard and cold . Just terrible! I love Cuban food and the "hole in the walls" are much better than this fancy all decorated beautifully!!! The food is excellent--flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and consistently satisfying--but what truly sets this place apart is the service, especially when you're seated at the bar. As a bar guest, I experienced something far above exceptional. It felt like walking into a place I already loved and being shown the very best of it by people who genuinely care. To the bartenders and staff who made every visit feel that way: Dairy-ah (I'm almost certainly butchering the spelling, but the pronunciation stuck with me), thank you for the warmth, the skill, and the way you made the bar feel welcoming every time. Lucy--always with the hat on backwards--you became my spirit animal the moment I realized how perfectly that energy matched the whole vibe of the place. Chelsea, I only got to have you serve me once, but that one time was enough to know how good you are at this.
