Stopped by for a quick coffee and snack, and I have to say--this place definitely lives up to its name! The coffee was fantastic--smooth, bold, and just the right strength. I also couldn't resist trying the empanadas, and they were amazing. We sampled all three, but the shredded beef one was hands down our favorite--flaky, savory, and packed with flavor. The colada was perfect as well--sweetened just right, not too overpowering, but enough to give it that sweet kick. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It's the kind of spot that makes you feel like you're part of the neighborhood. I'll definitely be coming back for more coffee and empanadas! read more

This place needs a serious name change. We ordered 2 black coffee and we ended up tossing in the garbage 1 block away. Awful!

The coffee is wonderful. The breakfast was very good as well. I asked the owner about the coffee, and he brought out a handful of freshly roasted coffee beans, and it smelled so good. I come here almost everyday! The owner knows me by name and has my order ready for me by the time i get to the window (yes i get the same thing every day, black coffee and guava pastries). It is consistently perfect every time! You cant skip on the guava it is too good! Their coffee is made fresh right in front of you and you can tell it is piping hot and so amazing! As a local now i can say Sandys next door is good too but nothing beats the customer service at The Best Coffee in Town! I highly recommend this spot over any other place in the area!!! This was previously The White Street Sandwich Shop - New Name - Same great food and service - get your morning buche here! I can't brag enough about this little window next to the laundry mat. The people are friendly and fast whipping up the daily orders of café con leche, buche and other beverages as the morning regular locals bombard the window with their daily orders. For me it's the buche that jump starts my day at the end of a run, but whatever your flavor, you can guarantee consistency and a delicious cup of joe. There is also a small indoor area to the left of the window with cold beverages and water bottles for the taking, along with limited seating. read more

Service was great! The woman in the front was very friendly and accommodating especially since my boyfriend knows very little Spanish. The pricing was decent considering the location. I ordered the Mexican Sausage & Egg sandwich (Chorizo) and it was DELICIOUS!! 10/10 My boyfriend ordered the Bacon Ham Egg & Cheese sandwich and said it was good, but wish he ordered my sandwich. 8/10 Café Con Leche was AMAZING 10/10!!! Pork sandwich was the winner at our lunch here. "Cuban mix" sandwich is essentially a Cubano sandwich with mayo -pretty good also. Mortadello sandwich tasted like bologna meat. Tamale was greasy. Service was friendly enough but pretty slow and he came over while we were eating to collect more money because he forgot to charge for something. There is an area to stand to eat your meal or you can sit on the benches near the laundromat. Overall, a good place if you are tired, hungry, and caught in a rainstorm (our scenario). read more

We stumbled upon this place and it was really busy. Maybe it was busy because Sandy down the street was closed on XMAS day and this place was open. Either way, I stopped for some breakfast before leaving Key West. We had the cafe con leche and their ham and cheese. The cafe was so-so.. not enough ummph and too sweet. This place is located on the side of a laundromat. There's no sign, just look for the line of people. Don't mistake Sandy's for it! This place has the second best cuban mix in Key West. All the correct meats, cheeses, toppings, perfectly proportioned and well cooked. Second only to Five Brothers. Note there is no where to sit and eat, so take it with you or stand at the newspaper dispensing machine like I did. read more

This is my default cafe con leche spot if I can't make it over to CCQ. They have top notch cafe con leche without the option of 2% or soy, but it's totally worth every damn calorie. This is another great location to get some delicious crab while you're in the keys. I like to come by in the morning when I go for my bike ride around the island and have a small cup of Cuban coffee also known as Bucci. This is a Super Bold and super sweet explosion of coffee in your mouth and it is a must-have while on the island. They're Cuban sandwich is another must have. It is exactly what a Cuban sandwich should be real fresh cooked pork sliced ham Swiss cheese and mustard on Cuban bread toasted with butter till perfection. I must warn you to bring cash to this location. They are a cash only establishment they do have an ATM on premise however save yourself the fees and bring cash before you arrive it's a walk up stand with lots of those Key West chickens run around out front. read more

Ordered a cuban mix and soup, it was awful and they put everything on my sandwiches I asked to keep off.. the bill was outrageous almost 30 dollars for 2 sandwiches and 2 soups oh and they didnt even want to give bread with the soup, it was only when I asked for my money back that they gave me bread.. soup comes with bread everywhere.. the soup had zero meat in it.. all noodles and the cuban mix was cheese lettuce pork and ham.
