The place: These guys primarily sell cheese but you can also purchase a few other goods as well. It's not very big and the layout makes it so it can be a little cramped if the place is full. The goods: Everyone stops here on their way to and from Québec's North Shore - at least that's what I was led to believe on both my trips to and from Tadoussac! And for good reason - this is the place to get our beloved curd cheese because not only is it delicious, but it's super fresh! There are so many people who stop in that I don't think these guys have anything left at the end of the day. This time around, I also got butter. Mmmm butter.... it's creamy and delicious and I'm kicking myself for not getting two bars. Yum. Service: Friendly. Price point: Pretty good! The first time, I bought a big bag of curds and I think it was about 8.75. This time, I got the small bag + a brick of butter and the cost was under $9. The price of the cheese is, I believe, less than what you pay in a grocery store.

It is located on the cute little main st. so a great place to walk around afterwards . They do 2 types of cheese dinners: 1st in the Swiss Fondue , half the party ordered that it it was fantastic . They give you meats and vegetables to dip . Excellent. 2nd is the Raclette .This is with the semi hard cheese they heat and scrape off onto your plate . Again you are given an assortment of meats and vegetables ,EVERYONE loved this . We have had it in multiple restaurants before and this was as good as any . Service is very good owner is very nice and accommodating ( youngest daughter doesn't eat much so owner said no problem for her to share with my wife ) Something to note . The prices on the menu Include taxes and tip so it is much cheaper than it originally appeared . And you can bring your own wine which makes it even better.

Also open for lunch, it serves dishes that creatively feature local Charlevoix dairy products. We required a reservation for our Saturday dinner - the place was "complet" - sold out. Nicholas and his wife not only cook and serve, they greet customers and passersby on the street from the outdoor patio. Finally we had a truly great meal in Baie St Paul. Not to be missed by anyone who truly respects the palate!

We stayed in St. Roch, Quebec this summer and had to check out the neighbourhood cheese shop…read more Fromagerie des Grondines is great! In addition to selling cheese and other goodies, inside the cheese shop is a counter that makes and sells hot food! We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with mushrooms, a baguette sandwich, a large poutine and everything was delicious. The cheese was flavourful. The baguette was perfectly crisp and chewy. The poutine was delightful - with lots of cheese curds, sweet corn and veggie gravy. I picked up a bottle of Raw Quebec Honey for my mom and she absolutely loved the deep flavour. I also bought a bag of D'Antan Maple Potato Donuts for myself and the donuts were epic - so soft, great maple flavour yet not too sweet.

It was walking distance from our hotel and a beautiful day! Behold my biggest food dream all in one little shop. We had delicious, freshly made grilled cheeses (including poire et brie), baguette with smoked salmon, perfectly cooked French fries, and even the side salad was tasty. You can also take cheese samplers to go and all the accouterments you could ever want. They had many other unique products like Goat Milk Caramel and smoked trout. Be sure to visit. You will not be disappointed!
