Shirley and her amazing team of petsitters has given me one less thing to worry about when we go on vacation. She has cared for six of my kitties over the years, and two of them had very particular care needs with their chronic conditions. Favorite Friends Pet Sitting is in a word -- AWESOME! A short-notice change in plans required big changes in my need for pet sitting. I contacted them by phone that evening and received a call back the next morning. Shirley was flexible and worked with me to make a time to meet and discuss my cats needs. Upon her arrival, she asked great questions and started interacting with my cat -- they hit it off immediately, which is always important to me. We talked about the logistics and what was needed, I felt comfortable that the situation was well in hand. She'd informed me that she was going on a trip, prior to my return. So, I wasn't able to have her provide service the whole time I was gone. That worked OK, I'd just feed my cat late that evening. One of the best things that she did (that speaks volumes about her character and level of service) was check in with my designated point of contact to ensure that my cat was going to be taken care of, should my return flight be delayed. We found Favorite Friends Petsitting in 2001 when we first moved to the Dana Point area and needed someone to visit our kitties when we went on vacation. We interviewed a couple other services, but Shirley and her team are special. They truly love animals and enjoy spending time with them. We have now been calling Shirley for more than 16 years, through two generations of six cats, whenever we need to leave home for a quick weekend or a long vacation. It is hard and scary to leave our pets but sometimes we need to, and we want our cats to be able to stay at home where they can be happy instead of in a boarding situation or vet.
