We started bringing our dog here a few years ago and love that it's reasonably priced, easy for drop off/pickup, and the staff sends pictures throughout the day so you know how your fur baby is doing. The dogs always look like they're having a fun time and ours is always excited to go when we pull up.

Been taking my dogs Trevi and Baxter here for almost 4 years. They are very professional and caring with my dogs and I highly recommend them! Always accommodating even on short notice for boarding and reasonably priced for day care especially if you get a monthly package. They go above and beyond!

My fiancé and I take our dog to Bow Wow about twice a week. She loves playing with the other dogs and gets so excited every time we pull up to the building. On top of that, she absolutely adores Sara and Martina. They keep the dogs separated by size, the facilities are clean, and the dogs are always well taken care of-- we know this because the staff send us cute pictures of our dog throughout the day and will give us updates on how they were or any new friends they made. The Bow Wow staff is really awesome, and I appreciate how well they get to know each dog's quirks and personalities. I really want to make it clear how accommodating Martina and Sara have been, and reviews stating otherwise seem like disingenuous review bombs from entitled parents trying to steal Bow Wow's parking when they pick up their kids from the dance studio next door.

We're very happy with Bow Wow Care as it was Boo's second time around. She had a great time while we were away for the week. Bummed we couldn't take her on our trip but we knew she'd be in good hands. The daily photos they would send us made our day and was greatly appreciated. Highly recommended!!

    Tara is the best!

We've tried almost every groomer in the area and Tara has been the absolute best by far. With dogs that are super difficult to groom and love rolling around and getting dirty she gives them both a amazing cut every time. If you're looking for someone who can groom harder to cut breeds and someone who is super gentle and and patient with your pet (they both love her!) there is no one better!

Not to mention previously employed as contract worker for 2 Pet Sitters in Orange County companies. Penny's gift for befriending and caring for my 2 dogs eclipsed even my experience. In the 2 years I've served as guardian for a feral golden retriever, Maddy, who was rescued in Taiwan I had never been spent a night away from her. Permitting anyone other than myself to even hold even hold Maddy's leash (she bucks like a bronco) Maddy refuses to be touched by anyone but me. My other dog, Skippy, loves everyone but I dared not allow him to be walked as they've never been separated. So what beside feeding and potty pickup could a pet sitter do? Here comes Penny who had Maddy eating out of her hand at first visit. Say what? Penny has a near magical way with animals and found creative ways to engage my fear driven dog. Penny proceeded to bring her pets, Oreo and Snickers, to turn every visit into a doggy play-date. Then she brought 2 friendly pups she was pet sitting and made my backyard a small dog park. (Penny had my authorization to do so. Daily she brought treats and toys to my furbabies and sent multiple videos showing the 6 dogs playing together. Rather than feel guilt spending Christmas away, I was glad that Penny opened the horizon of comfort for my feral dog. Her first visit during Christmas rush, whereby I'd expect 20 minutes in my home, resulted in an hour plus visit. Upon my return I only wish I could afford Penny 's services to continue to acclimate my fear driven Maddy to learn to trust humans. Penny's prices are reasonable and a bit higher than some, but what with gifts for both me and my pups over Christmas, and her self-motivation to put my dogs' need beyond paid time to sit, made her the best deal available. I'll never settle for less as long as Penny is available! * Expect videos or pictures on each visit **Penny's contract advises she does not accept aggressive dogs. But shy or fearful pets are her forte.

Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

Our little family includes George, our Frenchie who recently underwent back surgery, and Waldo, our Portuguese Water Dog/Poodle mix who struggles with extreme anxiety. He takes the time to understand their individual needs and treats them with such patience and care. With George's recovery and Waldo's anxiety, that extra attentiveness means everything to us. It's clear Ian truly loves what he does, and it shows in the way our pups light up when they see him. We keep coming back because of Ian and the way he treats George and Waldo. That changed this last time the owners sold the company and the new owners took over, as things have definitely gone downhill, which brings me to this review specifically. This past Thursday, July 2nd, I swung by Paw Sweet Paw on my way home to pick up my dog, since my wife dropped her off for a half day. I told the young lady at the front I was here to pick up Boba, and she said, "I'll be right back with Boba."I waited for 15 minutes for her to return, and when she did, she did not have my dog with her, and she stated something like, "they are in the process of moving the dogs". Some more time goes by, and a manager walks by, and I am livid by this point, and I said, "Where is my flippin dog, although I didn't use flippin. She said, " Please hold on for one minute and she walked away and went upstairs. By this point, it had been a half hour, and not to mention there was another gentleman there to drop off his dog, and he had been waiting 15 minutes. Some more time goes by, and I told the lady at the front that I was walking to the back to get my dog, and you can call whoever you want, but this is BS. When I opened up the gate and was proceeding to walk back, the manager came walking down the steps, and again, I said Where the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ HELL is my dog, to which she replied, I don't know how to tell you this, but WE GAVE YOUR DOG TO THE WRONG PERSON. Needless to say, I lost it, and I said, how the hell is that even POSSIBLE on your end, let alone the person that took my dog home. Who the hell picks up their dog and realizes that this is not my dog and takes it home?????? The Manager said that somehow either she lost her paper collar or someone neglected to read the name on the collar and handed her off to another staff member, and they are the ones that gave her to the wrong owner.....When the new owners of Paw Sweet Paw took over, they implemented this paper tag collar policy, and when you check your dog in, they take the regular collars off of the dog and put a paper collar on the dog. I think it is absolutely ridiculous, but somehow, they believe it's to protect the dogs in case they get in a fight or something, to which I still don't understand. By this point, I cannot even see straight, and I am basically yelling at the Manager as to where my dog is and who the hell is going to get her. She said, "I just spoke to the owner, and I am driving to her house right now to get Boba." The lady that took my dog had two dogs, so as the manager was leaving, I said You might want to go back and get her dog..... She said it would take her about 15 minutes to get to the lady's house and 15 minutes back. Finally, after well over an hour, I got my dog back!!!!!!.. Needless to say, she was extremely anxious and was panting very heavily all the way home, and her heart was racing as well. She finally settled down later that night.....I am not sure what dogs think, but I believe Boba might've been thinking she was being abandoned because she has never been anywhere except Paw Sweet Paw. All in all, I think it was about a 1.5-hour ordeal (nightmare). The Manager said she started 3 weeks ago, apologized profusely, and said she is going to rectify the problem so that it never happens again. She also said that the District Manager would be calling my wife, because by this time, my wife had come down as well. They did call later on that night from a blocked number and left a message with no number to call back. We're still waiting for her to call back. It really sucks because this is the only place we have ever taken Boba, and she actually likes it there cause she is not locked up all day and can play with other dogs. My dog is already anxious, so the idea of finding a new boarding place is less than desirable, but I might have no choice.

She recommends unnecessary procedures while using fear tactics, which is a shame. The backup vet was very incompetent. She recommended the wrong solutions and suggested imaging that cannot detect soft tissue issues. She never asked any history questions, examined the wrong area entirely, and jumped straight to worst case scenarios without justification. She spent only 5 minutes on the consultation and pushed for X-rays when in my dog's case, those weren't even necessary. X-rays are not the right protocol for soft tissue issues. I didn't have a choice as they were the only place open that day. A few days later my dog is completely fine because it wasn't actually that hard to fix. He had full anal glands that just needed to be emptied ... and this vet was pushing for X-rays and bloodwork instead One thing worth mentioning, she was very quick to suggest cancer or tumors without proper justification. What she may not know is that intact male dogs actually have hormonal protection that significantly reduces the risk of certain cancers in that area. A more knowledgeable vet would have considered this before jumping to worst case scenarios. This is basic intact male biology that should be understood before making such alarming suggestions to worried pet owners. That's why I usually just bring my dogs to my regular holistic vets in Irvine and Laguna Beach. To be fair, the regular staff are lovely. The vet tech was excellent, agreed with my decisions, and actually helped. So I do believe their regular vets and staff are much better. This one star is specifically for the backup vet. Please be very careful if they assign you to her.
