I spoke with Shawna for probably half an hour and she never made me feel rushed or an inconvenience. She was so knowledgeable and kind, pointed me in the right direction with honesty and showed me some great products that will make my boy's life so much better. The owner was also extremely kind and helpful-- he made sure that I was taken care of while also juggling some other customers. They have a wonderful selection for not just fish, but all small animals, and I really appreciate the lengths they go to to make sure their animals are taken care of (they even have a separate closed room for the reptiles to maintain the heat). My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had TWO out of FOUR unbelievably horrid groomings. 1st so bad I took dog back. Manager couldn't believe how bad scissoring and eagerly took 45 minutes to redo her with next grooming at no charge. Next two groomings were fine. Curiously, those groomers are no longer working at PetSmart. Fourth grooming worse than first. She didn't clip hair between foot pads, cut only very tips off 1/2" toenails, hair sticking out all over. Feet trimmed on only one sides with under growth on other side uncut. Awful brush out. I brushed fistfuls of top and under coat when she returned home. Impossible to inspect grooming quality when dogs are excited to be picked up. Chest not clipped to breast bone or shoulders blended to pattern. I didn't want to put her through another hour of grooming, so I didn't take her back. I paid an extra $20 for shedding control and gave $10 tip prior to fully looking at dog. No shedding difference noted so don't waste your money! I complained after deciding to give them one more try and was told they only have one decent groomer and then the manager wasn't comfortable doing my dog due to my previous dissatisfaction. Was also told my previous appointment was with "in-training" groomer. I am disgusted with myself at even trying to give them another chance. Thought my problem would be resolved by asking for experienced groomer! Obviously, the dogs aren't checked prior to releasing!!! ARE YOU AWARE DOG GROOMERS ARE NOT LICENSED IN MASSACHUSETTS AND ANYONE CAN GROOM YOUR DOG? I worry about the safety of my dog as the groomers seem to come and go on a regular basis with most groomers "in-training". After my final and last conversation with the manager, I would NEVER trust the safety of my dog or spend good money for totally unsatisfactory grooming!

When I called them several minutes later, the girl gave me a major attitude stating my appointment was only an hour long and that my dog was holding up the intake of other dogs coming in for grooming. If my appointment was only an hour long, why would the manager tell me to give her 3 hours? Needless to say, the younger girl's lack of customer service and poor attitude prompted me to find a more professional grooming atmosphere. I was impressed with the shop, fully stocked with absolutely everything anyone could use/need for their birds, including knowledgeable staff. Food includes: specialty, gourmet, pellet, seed. There's another area in the store for feeding+watering supplies/receptacles...Everything! Great variety of toys and different cage items to keep them busy, from being bored. You wouldn't think they could fit so much into a smaller place, but they do...Only it isn't cramped or crowded by any means. Anyway, because I just adore conures, happened to notice that there were 2 of the most precious little ones I'd seen, and needed them immediately. LOL. Sure, it was an impulse buy--Usually regretting impulse buys, but not this time! They'd just arrived at the shop not long before my visit, so there was an observation period the shop has, just to make sure the birds are healthy, to take care of birds' medical needs if present, and of course to make sure they aren't giving you an ill pet. About a week later, they came home with me. Owner provides histories and updates on the pets. Joe will keep you informed if there is any special need. One short adjustment period later, we trained and cared for "Charlie" and "Lady", and we now have FOUR conures---These are the two I picked up that day, super-healthy, super-happy little birbies! We brought our puppy in and it turned out to be the opposite, she didn't even acknowledge us. She stayed texting on her phone, didn't even lift up her head. I was hoping to ask about a dog chew but she wouldn't stop texting to even look at us. It made me extremely uncomfortable. We walked around the store and left because it was so unwelcoming.
