Unfortunately it seems that pets seem to pass on a weekend or holiday. My daughter's kitten passed on a weekend, and answering service said someone would call me back. It was over a year ago, and I still haven't gotten that call. My miss kitty passed sometime through the night into Saturday morning. I called again after o saw on their website to call for weekend hours, and a review said they opened up on a weekend for their kitty. I got the return call, and was told they don't open on weekends. I told Kimberly I saw on website that they have weekend hours plus a review said they opened for them on a weekend. She was surprised! Asked who it was, I said someone in Touissett and she said, "oooh Touissett", like they are better than anyone else. I will not be doing business with them ever again. Less than one star! read more

My loving extra senior aged cat passed over the weekend when if course, many vets are closed. Faithful Friends is right here in my town owned by a family that's 3rd generation people funeral services. Our family has used them for several family members & we have already prepaid our arranges for someday. Anyway, I called on a Sunday afternoon & left message with answering service, & told Kim would return my call shortly. Within 20 minutes, Kim was on the phone with me making an appointment to meet with us to receive Aaron's remains.. I let Kim know the service we chose. I believe Jenn met my husband the next morning to take custody of Aaron. They let us know his ashes would be spread on a farm with a lake not far away. It hurts to let him go, but this time comes in all lives. Definitely recommend Faithful Friends to everyone who wants to respectfully cremate their close friend. On one of the most difficult days for any pet owner, Kimberly was a compassionate and understanding soul. She respectfully addressed the formalities of the cremation. Kimberly was kind, and gently walked us through the options (ie: lock of hair, paw print in ink, paw print in clay, etc). We had the choice to attend the cremation or receive video evidence of our pet entering the crematorium. I personally like to know exactly where and how my pet is being treated before and during the afterlife. Years ago I went to a place in Cranston before they became a chain. I didn't want my dog Ozzy's ashes having the slightest chance of being mixed with other dogs. Jennifer who was kind and sweet during the whole procedure, promised me she would be the only one taking care of him. I run a small family business as well, this is very hard to find in practices overrun with services and too much turnover of staff. Faithful Friends Pet Crematorium is an alternative from the corporate pet crematoriums that act like factories where you and your pet are just a number and a dollar sign. Faithful Friends is family owned and operated and are compassionate and understanding of a pet owners loss and the feelings surrounding such an overwhelming event. My beloved dog, Miss Lily, passed away on Saturday, and was scheduled for cremation that day. Unfortunately, other arrangements had to be made. I called Faithful Friend's office Monday morning before they opened, in a panic hoping someone would answer the phone. To my surprise and luck, the most amazing, kindhearted and understanding woman, Jennifer, picked up the receiver. I explained my situation stressing the importance Miss Lily be cremated that day so I may have some closure. She was able to accommodate me and for that, I will be forever grateful. When we arrived, Jennifer greeted us with open arms. She was sympathetic, kind, understanding, respectful and professional yet personable. My wife, daughter and I were devastated when our incredible canine companion Khaleesi passed away, too early by many years. We live north of Boston, so I called three crematoria north/northeast of Boston. Two were nice (about $300), while one seemed disinterested and businesslike ($500!) (I understand that at least one is part of a chain). Then for some reason I called faithful Friends in Warren RI, which is at least 90 minutes away ($200). I was extremely impressed with Kimberly. She was wonderfully nice, gave me advice as to how to care for Khaleesi until we brought her the next day, made some suggestions as to what we could do (a nearby state park and a restaurant) during the couple of hours the cremation would require. I made an appointment for the next day. When my wife and I arrived Jennifer was incredibly nice, comforting, and took care of everything. We said our goodbyes to Khaleesi and took our other dog (who seemed to know this was a sad time) to Colt State Park and walked around until Jennifer called. When we returned she gave us a beautiful wooden box with Khaleesi's ashes, and her paw prints in clay. She was so sweet, and even hugged us when we were leaving. This was an incredibly sad time for us, but Kimberly and Jennifer did everything they could to help and comfort us. If you're confronted with the loss of a beloved pet, and are considering cremation instead of burial, I highly recommend considering them. read more

I have never had a pet before. That is one that you can interact with. I've had fishes and hermit crabs but this past year I decided to get a hamster. The bond I had with my boy was so insane and I have never felt that. So when he passed away in January I really had no clue what to do. I was upset and didn't want to bury him. I felt crazy for how upset I was feeling I mean after all it's just a small hamster. I felt crazy for even calling faithful friends but the service I received was absolutely amazing. First Jennifer is the most warm person there is. Made me and my sister feel very comfortable and sure that she would take care of our hamster. Next our crazy schedule got in the way of picking him up. So she also dealt with our crazy back and fourth of not being able to pick him up to getting him to having to cancel. We got a beautiful small urn with paw ink prints.This place is truly the most amazing place and has been able to give me the closure I need. I don't live in the state but I will never go anywhere else. Truly an amazing place. read more
