I am new to the area and would like to find a local cigar shop to frequent. I can get better prices online but I like supporting local businesses. This is the first and only cigar shop out of dozens i have been to across the world that locks its humidor. I am sorry but you are a cigar shop where i have to ask for you to unlock the merchandise? Is this a Walgreens in California?!? Im not here to steal deodorant I want to buy some cigars. Purchased one bottle of honey or $23.96 plus a 3% surcharge for the credit card. We ended up with a $54.25 charge on our credit card. We called the owner and spoke with him and he said no we were not charged too much because he had the charge slipped in front of him. He said he had our Mastercard and kept referring to my husband is Mr. Holbrook. Well, that's not our last name and we don't own a Mastercard. We gave him our last name in the last four digits of the card. I felt it was also poor that he was giving us information of this, Mr. Holbrook and his purchase amount. We utilized a visa that's all we own. Mr. Ferguson the owner was very unpleasant and argumentative. We have contacted our credit card company and they will investigate and dispute the charge. Based on how we were treated, we will never shop there again. Mistakes do happen and we understand that. However, you can't come after your customer rudely for your mistake. read more

Service is always great! I appreciate their attentiveness and the selection of snacks available. There are low-sugar and protein-rich options available too. I'm not much of a cigar aficionado, but when I take friends, they can always find something to their liking. I bought a jar of local honey from the Lexington Cigar store in 2021 for $35.00 (sticker still on my bottle). I went back to purchase another jar of the same exact size this past weekend and it was $45... plus they charged me $2 for paying with a credit card. The most knowledgeable owner and staff. You won't meet many other tobacco and cigar enthusiasts like Dale. He is the former President of the RTDA, Retail Tobacco Distribution Association and TAA, Tobacconists' Association of America. He has traveled to the Dominican and hand rolled cigars with the Fuentes, smoked his pipe with the Stokkebye in Denmark. He has some great stories, just ask and he will gladly tell! read more

Best tobacconist in town. His shop is full on goods and gifts but what really stands out are his collections of cigars, pipes, and pipe tobacco! He really knows what's what in tobacco and offers everything from new to vintage blends and cigars. While he also sells dip and cigarettes and shisha, so does most gas stations. His insight and knowledge into the true culture of cigars and pipes makes this place a trustable and reliable place to purchase products for yourself, or a gift to a friend. read more

This place has a great selection of ash trays, cigs, unique dips, and a wide selection of everything tobacco related. The only thing they lack in is cigars. They don't store the cigars in a humid environment so all the cigars are dry to to point where it's not worth smoking. The prices on cigars are cheaper than no other store I've been too but the ash taste form their cigars is not worth a discount. I would rather spend more on a cigar that has actually been stored at a proper humidity. This is not a cigar store it is a tobacco store with a wide selection of everything except cigars. They should change their name because of the lack of care they put towards cigars because they are not worth buying. Yelp won't let me give a half star. This store is not worth your time. Cigars are grossly overpriced and kept in a humidor room that is maintained with cheap Walmart humidifiers and fans. If you are looking for a store to buy Cigars or cigar accessories, stay away! They should change their name as it is far from a cigar store. read more

Of all the Cigar stores that I visited on my Trip to Kentucky, this was by far my favorite. The counter people could not have been nicer. The shop is beautifully laid out with a walk in humidor in the back. It was a decent selection and the prices were competitive, but there could have been more of a Variety. They could have used some Rocky Patel's and more of a selection of CAO's. All and all, I really enjoyed my visit to this store. I spent a good 15 minutes talking to the owner about the different stores that I go to in Chicago and he was quite knowledgeable about Cigars and the different shops around the country. If I'm ever down in that area again, I will make sure that I stop in. read more

Simply put, an excellent tobacconist in a world where that term is vanishing. It is a family owned business that stocks anything tobacco related you could possibly want, whether it be a basic cigar to the most esoteric and hard to find pipe tobaccos. They are also a classic news stand that offers daily papers and countless periodicals. A very old school, full service store that is a downtown Lexington treasure. read more

Never be able to do justice with my words about this experience today at Fayette Cigar Store. I have been visiting this store for over 30 years. It is a landmark in downtown Lexington. While looking at cards a black man walks in. He is approached by an older man whom I think may own the store. He was told to leave his unzipped backpack up front. Apparently he thought the man was going to steal. The man said I wondered why you were following me. He went towards the front. The customer said out loud he thought his treatment was because he was black. Well, I think we have freedom of speech. That man was allowed to speak his opinion. That ticked off the very young boy behind the register. Customer was on his way out mind you but the clerk ran after him using the most foul language you have ever heard in your life and laid hands on the black man. The man said I will leave but you have no right to talk to customers this way or lay hands on me. So the man is on his way out as he was so rudely advised to do and the clerk ran after him screaming foul language and laid hands on him. I SAW IT ALL HAPPEN. The older man who was in the back of the store stepped out. I informed him that I was offended at how his clerk treated the customer. I explained what happened. He said.............quote "I don't have a problem with it." So.........I said I will not be back in this store. I hope the customer goes to the news station. read more
