We have had 3 and a half years experience with Red Dog Pet Sitting Services with CATS Gracie and…read moreRose. Five stars is tops here but our score would be 100 out of 100 if possible. Originally, the service was recommended via a Facebook connection. We had never used a professional service and had no idea what wonderful experiences awaited our two cats and us. My first interaction with Karl was on the phone seeking information. After he told me all about the service he started talking about a cat he had sat with before. He showed such care and concern about one of their " customers " it was comforting to hear. Little did I know that now this is how we have experienced this pet sitting service. There are two sitters who have come, Cynthia and Lauren. Cynthia has been the lead sitter and Lauren has been backup most of the time. Both have always done everything needed for routine cat care that included keeping a water fountain filled exactly as we asked. They both have sent photos and texts every day. This last visit that concluded a week ago (Christmas 2025) Rose wasn't eating like she usually did. Cynthia communicated about various things she tried to stimulate her appetite. There was nothing physically wrong with Rose but we all agreed that she might still be grieving the death of her dear littermate Gracie. Gracie died a year ago and the two had never spent one day apart. When Gracie died we let Cynthia and Lauren know. Cynthia had known Gracie the best and the longest. She provided several reassuring messages not just after Gracie died but other sweet messages along the way (not associated with visits). While this is a professional service, the service is personal. In addition to the pet care, they take in the mail including porch drop-offs - boxes and oversized envelopes. Here that means walking around the house and down a steep driveway into the area where the cats stay. All of this to say, the Red Dog Pet Sitting Services has been excellent. We would recommend them to anyone who has this need for their pets. (By the way, Rose did resume her routine eating habits.)

She might be suitable for keeping larger dogs, but definitely not smaller dogs. My dog stayed with her just 1 night and when I picked her up on Sunday, her entire chest looked as though she had been kicked with a steel-toe boot. It was purple and swollen...resembling a blood blister. Not to mention the fact that she was filthy with dirt. I did not notice the area of concern until I got home and immediately bathed her. After seeing her chest area and evaluating her pain level, I called Pet Nanny to see what happened. She told me the following: "Your dog was jumping out of a window the whole day, having fun. It was about 5 feet tall, but she wasn't clearing the jump every time." It blows my mind that she did not think to stop her from jumping even though she noticed that she was not "clearing" the jump every time. Her little legs could not land the jump so she was essentially falling onto the ground and her chest was breaking the fall every time. She could have broken bones or even worse, severely injured her spinal cord. I hesitate to say that she may be suitable for watching larger dogs as well. There is no possible way that she can keep watch over so many dogs in an open area. Dogs can get in fights, dig through fences, etc... within a matter of minutes. Let me be clear, I do not believe that the Pet Nanny is a bad person or intentionally hurt my dog. I just think that she was negligent. I would never trust her again. As someone who agrees to board your dog, it is their responsibility to keep them safe and free of harm. Pet Nanny did not do this. As a pet owner, it is my responsibility to ensure my dog's safety, even when I am away from her. I would rather my dog be safely confined in a crate at the vet than able to run freely at the risk of hurting herself...sometimes we have to stop a dog from doing something because they do not know to stop for themselves. From what I understand, she is not licensed to board dogs as a business. My vet told me that I should never trust someone like this again. Think twice about keeping your dog here.

The first time was ok but still very short the second time that groomer did a great job on both my babies. But this last time I literally thought they were bringing out the wrong dog no kidding. I mean they shaved his face and tail why??? They could have at least called me and asked me if I was ok with them shaving as much as they did. My baby has zero hair left. If they didn't want to take the time to try to comb it as much as possible they shouldn't be in business, I don't know who the owner is but clearly I've been warned by others posting this same issue so shame on me for giving them another chance. But most of all shame on the owner for poor business practices, if I could give zero stars I would because this place is over charging way to much to not satisfying their customers

I gave them a one star because there was not any lesser to give. I dropped my wife's dog (golden…read moredoodle) off and gave them specific instructions (twice) on how to cut him. There was a dog in the office with a similar cut I described. I told them do not touch the tail or the ears. When I left, they seemed to understand. We picked him up a few hours later and I thought they had given her the wrong dog. He got into the truck and he looked as if he had entered boot-camp. They had cut every bit of hair off him with the ecception of about a two inch puff on the tip of the tail. My brother saw him and asked when we got our blue-tick. For those that are unaware a blue-tick is a hound dog. I should have known better and "had" told her to take him somewhere else because last visit when I picked him up, he was gapped so bad it looks like a four-year-old had gotten hold of the scissors and gave their own haircut. Those with children remember those cuts. My advice to you is if you find yourself near this business, hit the gas and don't stop. Unless you want your dog to look like a survivor from P.O.W. camp.
