And yes, I will sound prissy in some of my reasons. I am a huge priss. Can't say that I like that about myself! Pros 1. Beautiful lofts, with upstairs loft space. (Not just a big box.) 2. Brick walls and exposed pipes. Gorgeous! 3. Laundry w/in units. 4. Good sized pool compared to others we've seen in DTLA. 5. Nicely designed community areas. 6. Easy access to parking. Parking price included in rent. 7. Easy access to mailboxes. 8. Amazing gym, as the owner is a personal trainer. 9. Almost built a restaurant/market on-site. Wish that went through. It may still.. may still? 10. Urth Caffe right around the corner. 11. Gun Range next door! 12. Overall great artsy feeling. 13. Anthony. Insert Shout out to Anthony - He's the man who showed us around. He's amazing. He in himself was a huge selling point! We also got to meet the owner. Nice small community/neighborhood feel. Cons for me 1. Didn't really see many people in walking around the place. It was a Saturday afternoon and no one was using the pool or the community area. Made me feel lonely. 2. Really quiet community. 3. Views outside of windows aren't that great. 4. Didn't like driving up to the place. In the factory part of DTLA. Seems cool, but it felt lonely to me. 5. Refrigerators not provided. (small thing. really.) 6. Kind of pricey for what you get. (but I could also say that for all the lofts we've seen.) 7. Even though it's really not that far from DTLA and Little Tokyo, it seemed like it was.

They take care of the buildings and are on your side, a lot of people stay there for many years and I'm sure the management is a big part of that. The place is quiet and people who live there are nice and friendly. I worked from home and found it perfect for me. The area is great and getting better, never felt like the neighborhood was bad, and the secure parking is huge in downtown.

Over the years I have been at 3 co-working spaces in Pasadena and CTRL COLLECTIVE is far and away the best. Best location off of Arroyo. Best equipment -- good wifi and great quality computers in the event I need one. Most privacy when I need it for phone calls. Easy to use the printer when I need it as well. And Gia and the front desk staff are helpful and humane. I say humane because I can occasionally be a bit helpless and they are always very quick, kind, and helpful. Finally, the atmosphere is good and always work-friendly. A few years back I worked at a different coworking space in Pasadena and on weekends it would get very loud. Like, screaming kids loud. CTRL is really respectful and always helps me be productive.

What sets this space apart is the sense of community. The staff is welcoming, the owners are actively involved and on-site, and everyone makes you feel like you belong. It feels less like a coworking space and more like a professional community. The workspace itself is thoughtfully designed, with community tables, dedicated desks, private offices, conference rooms, and a beautiful kitchen are. Beyond that, CTRL is within walking distance of multiple coffee shops and various restaurants, so if you don't bring your own lunch, food isn't far away. Whether you need a quiet place to focus, a professional setting for meetings, or simply want to work around other motivated people, this space delivers.bI highly recommend CTRL. Oh, did I mention they have free coffee, lates, mochas? It's not a big deal, but it is.

ARTime BARRO is part pottery studio, part community space, and is a relaxing, chill place where you can unleash the creativity you thought was dead, where your artistic spirit gets to come out to play, if only for just a little bit of time in this crazy world. On a recent weekend, I had the opportunity to take the One-Time Class, which is a one-hour course designed for complete beginners. You get to make two pieces, one by hand at the table and one on the pottery wheel. The class size was small (just 5 people) and we got great 1:1 instruction and guidance from our knowledgeable instructor Max. I've always wanted to try the wheel and was surprised how hard it was to use it but it was such a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once. After you sculpt your pieces, you are invited to come back to hand paint (glaze) your work at no additional cost. You can also have them do a one-color glaze for you, but after I saw all the multi-colored pieces of other folks previous to me, it was no contest to decide that I wanted to color my pieces myself. You have up to 3 months to come back to glaze so it's very doable in anyone's busy LA (corporate) lifestyle. Pricing was very reasonable for such a cool bespoke experience. There are a lot of pottery painting studios (e.g. Color Me Mine) but this is awesome bc you get to make the pottery AND color it later! I've already recommended this place to countless people!

We even bought 4 wheel thrown classes to come back. The best part about these classes is they are smaller, 5 people go a group. You get to make 2 pieces per person - 1 hand shaped and 1 on the wheel. Definitely wear comfortable clothing! There is a parking lot in the back which is also really nice.

The bathrooms, the co workspace and the kitchen are always clean. I've had minimal user error with the free printer that is provided and I enjoy being able to look out and see Pasadena City Hall from afar. I'm very thankful that I decided to move away from working at home and start work at FoundrSpace. Because I really need home to be home and a place to work to feel more like work than a room in my home. I don't think that people have figured that out yet, but I know they will soon and I hope they find this review and find their new work office at FoundrSpace. Anyway, I plan to be here for quite some time, and I look forward to new neighbors that are focused on their businesses and ventures. I just wanted to let others know that this is the place for me and I know it's going to be a great place for more entrepreneurs, start ups and businesses too. Seriously if anybody has any questions, feel free to reach out to me and I'd be happy to answer.

The vibe was amazing ing and I just had to go see this art and support this artist. I arrived and found an entire treasure trove of fascinating art by dozens of artists. Each style is unique and well worth coming by. Imagine walking through a museum of the most amazing only talented artists and all the art is for sale. I bought two pieces. One of Shiri's of course. The art is reasonably priced and there are many different sizes. I highly recommend Artspace Warehouse for some of the best talent in the L.A. art world. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful and full of knowledge about each and every artist, the types of art and our chats were so chill- no pretentious vibes here. Just joy.
