We adopted a truly adorable cat here. Once we saw the amount of care and attention they give to their cats & kittens we were confident we were making the right decision to choose one. They keep all records up to date on each cat/kitten with their medical history. The shop is such a treasure. All sorts of items. We bought a flannel kitty print flannel pad to use for his personal spot. We have another kitty who sometimes lays on it too. I love to stop in just to say hello to these wonderful ladies. We made an appointment and arrived a few minutes early. We were greeted by friendly employees who were happy to help us find the right new family member. We found a bonded pair that we fell in love with, the cats actually picked us. It was meant to be! The cats are wonderful, sweet, cuddly companions. The rescue sent us home with supplies, they obviously care about each cat. The sanitary precautions were notable as well. Excellent experience!! read more

I happen to volunteer at Fearless Kitty and I can say that the cats are cared for by a very dedicated staff. Before they are offered for adoption they are given a complete and thorough health examination by a team of caregivers and vets. 13 yrs ago I rescued an adult cat. I never owned a cat but living alone, I craved a companion. I changed her name to Olive Mae. Everyone loved her! When you asked her to COME, she would. When you put on her chest collar, Olive would go to the door and wait patiently to be hooked to her leash so she could go outside. She would walk on the sidewalk like a dog! She would sleep with me and always greet me upon my arrival home. Today is a sad day because I needed to send her to kitty Heaven. Olive had not been feeling very well and it all caught up to her within the last 3 days. She has been vomiting and experiencing diarrhea. Olive, also, has stopped eating and drinking. It breaks my heart... i've cried a river. Now, I would like to foster cats from Fearless Kitty. These cats need love. read more

do not adopt from this rescue . i called on a thursday at 1pm. told the woman on the phone we would be there at 6. had us drive over an hr during rush hour. the lady was extremely rude and loud in the very beginning and told us we never made an appointment, which i corrected her. we were allowed back and AFTER we signed the consent form, and saw the kitten, and told them we wanted him. they informed me someone who ALSO had an appointment was adopting the kitten! me and my family were very upset and things ended in a heated argument due to them REFUSING to accept responsibility or even apologize. when i was asking questions i was called hostile and asked to leave. after that moment i told them sternly that they were in the wrong and i deserve to have my question answered, when they still refused to answer, that was that! i don't remember the woman's name, but i would assume most of the older staff are like this. we adopted an AMAZING kitten from yavapai humane society up in prescott! amazing staff and way better then a unorganized rescue with rude staff and that overcharges for adoptions! Fearless Kitty Rescue knew in the very beginning we were never getting that kitten, classic bait and switch tactic these places use! just sad they used it on us. that lady learned at the end that was a mistake! these people are extremely rude, unprofessional AND condescending. there are way better shelters out there. they didn't even really know each kittens story! it's so unfortunate. but this place is a no go for us! i will be spreading the word around and if the owner would like to reach out to me so i can explain more in depth. and you can hear a more truthful side, feel free to email me! or respond to this. having people in your rescue that act the way she did us bad for business:// if i could give 0 stars i would!! read more

Absolutely amazing. Well kept secret in Fountain Hills. I'll never purchase a pedigree again! The counselors and volunteers were very accommodating in guiding me through the process in finding the best fit for me. All their cats were placed in Fearless Kitty Rescue, having met criteria to have personalities, likely for adoption, along with spay, neutering, current vaccinations and giveaways. The most adoptable cats were over the age of one, ie. my mine! It was hard to narrow down to one. I might be going back for a second, so they can keep each other company while I'm gone. I started looking for a Siamese kitten back in August. I met Shayna over Facebook and she directed me to Fearless Kitty Rescue where she works. She was instrumental in getting me information to get started in the adoption process. The process to adopt a cat here was very thoughtful and fair. You can tell they take their time to match the pet with the right home/owner. I expressed I also would prefer a female cat, which I wasn't sure was possible as I already had trouble with trying to adopt Siamese from other rescues because they went really fast. Christine took me through the rest of the paperwork, as well as her care, what she might need, everything her adoption included, (spay, microchip & registration, first round of vaccinations and one month of pet insurance, whew!) They give packets of their partnerships (Amazon.smile as well as Chewy) and ways to be involved in future events, as they adopt out as many as 300 cats every year. The drive was about half hour from where I live but it was 100% worth it to find my purfect baby. The owner Kim was amazing at making sure I had very opportunity to get my dream kitty! I brought my cat from them in late January. The staff was wonderful and gave me great advice on caring for my kitten. The adoption process was easy. When I had issues with my kitten, they Wass more than helpful in proving a solution to the problem. Now, me and my cat has bonded quite well. I'm thinking about adding a third cat to the mix. I found these folks on Petfinder and took home, truly, the most fearless and beautifully socialized silver tabby cat. Look them up if you are searching for a new roommate. I live nowhere near Fountain Hills and this place was totally worth the lovely drive up the hill. They are run by committed volunteers and let me take my time to hang out with the kitties and make sure I was making the right choice. They sent me home with a week of food and proper new cat instructions. They checked in periodically to see how we were doing. The warmth of everyone in this organization is so palpable and amazing. Their facility on Avenue of the Fountains is an incredible achievement. Cats roam freely in rooms together, making for comfy cats that should do fine in their new homes, whether kids or pets are there. Support them! Adopt! Donate! Fearless Kitty forever! When I found "Raker kitty" who is on the adoption list now, he was desperate to be inside as his owner had passed away and he was kicked outside to fend for himself. I took him in and fed him and he was the most loving cat but you could tell he was scared. I was leaving to go on vacation and was desperate for help because I was not kicking him out again. I reached out to multiple rescues, all of which were full or did not get back with me. I called my vet and asked for recommendations which led me to Fearless Kitty. I sent them an email at midnight ready to cancel my vacation to help this kitty and they emailed me back the next morning willing to take him!! I was so happy for him! When I dropped him off they showed me around their wonderful facility and me feel really good about leaving him there. This is a fantastic place and will adopt from here in the future when we can! but for now I am praying he goes to a good home! He is wondferful!!!! read more

Absolutely the most wonderful feline rescue in the valley!!!!!!!! Actually, the cleanest [no feline odor at all!] Staff is loving, devoted to their charges and they are soooo kind. Yes, they may not take in lost cats t will or strays [I also called re: a litter of found kittens at one time that seemed to have been abandoned and FKR would not take them in.] That I feel is to maintain the integrity of the FKR and to be able to care for all the felines [adult cats and kittens] in their care. That ensures that those kitties in care remain healthy and loved while those of us who adopt are able to adopt well cared for and very healthy felines. I have adopted twice there and while it is a good hour from my home, should the opportunity present itself in future, I would return in a heartbeat. Their follow-up is outstanding!!!!! read more

Called looking for help with a senior kitty cat that we rescued years ago. Our family has been rescuing dogs, cats and horses for 30 years. For health reason we need to find our kitty a new home. The lady on the other end of the line came across as disinterested - was quick to tell me they weren't accepting any new pets at this time and if they were, they charge a $500 surrender fee (I'm not making this up) They charge to adopt, solicit donations AND they demand a five hundred surrender fee? Earlier this week was my first time visiting Fearless Kitty Rescue and I'm so impressed. They have a beautiful facility that is spacious and very clean, there are individual free roaming cat rooms with tons of things for enrichment, and the atmosphere overall is very pleasant. I am appalled with how unprofessional and rude the staff are here. I found a cat in fountain hills and googled cat rescue. Fearless kitty popped up so I phone them. A very miserable lady answers the phone and tells me they won't take the cat because their not sure if it's off the street or mine. Wow!$&! I just found a cat mam and before you cuss me out and tell me I'm a liar, I was just trying to help a lost cat find it's home or a home and didn't want it to get hit by a car.
