I am filing this complaint against Puppies N Love regarding the sale of a dog that, in my…read moreexperience, was affected by serious hereditary health issues that were not adequately addressed after purchase. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed because I believe the business failed to provide fair and meaningful resolution despite the significant financial and emotional hardship that followed. After purchasing the dog and bringing it home, we learned that it had major medical problems that ultimately led to more than \$8,000 in veterinary expenses. Both our veterinarian and the surgeon advised that the condition was hereditary. Despite receiving this information, Puppies N Love has not, in my view, accepted appropriate responsibility for the costs associated with the dog's condition. Any assistance discussed appears to be limited to store credit rather than meaningful reimbursement for the substantial out-of-pocket expenses we have incurred. I am also concerned about the representations made during the sales process and the company's warranty practices. At the time of purchase, we were given the impression that the dog could potentially be bred or shown, which suggested a certain level of health and suitability. Because of the dog's medical condition, those options are no longer possible. This has caused me to question whether the dog's health background was fully disclosed and whether the information provided at the time of sale was accurate, complete, and responsible. As a result of this condition, our dog now requires two surgeries and may face a diminished quality of life at a very young age. This experience has been emotionally distressing and financially damaging. Through this complaint, I am requesting a fair resolution, including meaningful reimbursement for the veterinary expenses related to the hereditary condition, as well as accountability for the manner in which this sale and its aftermath were handled. I believe consumers deserve transparency, accurate disclosures, and responsible follow-through when serious health issues arise after the purchase of a pet.

The breeder answered our calls and allowed us to get a new puppy. At 6 months of age, the "maltipoo" replacement puppy we received is approximately 20 lbs (much larger than what we were expecting based on the pictures they showed us of the parents and she is still growing) and was discovered it has a congenital heart murmur when we took her in to get spade. The breeder is not returning our calls.

I was told my Goldendoodle would be 35-45 lbs, and the rehoming paperwork reflected that range. I was also told the mother was approximately 35 lbs and the father around 45 lbs. I was not allowed to see the parents in person, only photos, due to the breeder stating they had a bad experience with a previous buyer. My dog continued growing well past one year and is now over 60 lbs. A friend of mine adopted a littermate, and her dog is closer to 70 lbs. When I contacted the breeder to ask about the size discrepancy, I was told the dogs must be this size because we were "feeding them too much," which is simply not accurate. This misrepresentation has caused real issues in my home. I live with my elderly father, who is frail and has early dementia, and I also have a much smaller dog. Managing a dog nearly double the promised size has created safety and stress concerns that could have been avoided with honest disclosure. I'm sharing this so future buyers can make a fully informed decision and ask very specific questions before committing.
