I had Feather furniture couches, chairs, lamps and coffee tables for about two years. Once in a while I would change my debit card at the bank and miss a payment but then the next month I would pay a double payment. Not a problem and I was happy with the furniture. Depending on the item - they look high quality or just eh. Some of it I loved - the glass table and two round lamps and a little blue chair. I used their various couches til I saved up to buy the fabulous one I wanted. They have one really great long couch perfect for a tall BF to watch football on. I felt I had a good relationship with an account manager named Nick. He helped me figure out that if I kept my furniture into the summer I would have paid off a couple of the smaller items that I wished to keep. They picked up the rest. Before we closed my account I triple checked what my final payment would be to clear my account. The I paid it. The people other than Nick were so disorganized that I didn't trust them to do it correctly. I was told the exact amount to pay and I made a payment over the phone with the agreement that my account would bow be closed with a zero balance. COLLECTIONS Do you think I was surprised when several months later I get a call from a random collections company telling me I owe Feather $1,560?? Yes, I was. Stay away from Feather. They'll ruin your credit and when I called feather to clear it up I was told I still owed $42 for my items. and they sent it to collections and sold my account to collections for a "confidential" amount. Wow. No transparency but lots of cheating. I asked the guy at Feather if he really thought we were having this convo over $42. If they made a mistake for $42 I'd happily pay it as a customer but as a biz owner I'd eat it out of embarrassment that my staff was so inept. Feather stopped calling me the day I made my last payment of about $300. I thought we were good. They never answered the phone during Covid but happily tried to harass me 7 times a day by phone for being a couple of days past due. So with no calls I forgot all about them except when I turn on one of the lamps I paid for in full plus some from them. I won't be renting from them ever again either and if you want a company you can trust you shouldn't choose Feather either. read more

Had a very frustrating experience at the end of my lease, felt like a bait and switch. The initial lease process was easy, team came with my furniture and were professional during the assembly process. Monthly billing was straightforward and never had any issues. At the end of my lease term, I requested a buyout price (I liked the furniture and wanted to keep it). The service rep tried charging us 30% more than what was expected. Thankfully we had our lease on hand and could dispute the number, but their systems are pretty manual and their customer service seems outsourced. After seeing other reviews about the company ruining people's credit with collections, we pushed the company to honor the original agreement and bought the furniture so we didn't have to deal with them anymore. But what started as a pretty great solution ended up being a pretty terrible experience at the end. read more

10/10. The furniture was super high end quality, the couch was SO COMFORTABLE and plush. That was my biggest fear, not being able to test it out beforehand. It's not the cheapest rental service, so it was a gamble to commit beforehand. I am so happy I did. My billing and delivery all went so smoothly. Their live chat feature is great. Due to covid, it is a bit tough to get someone on the phone, but their live chat feature representatives answer instantly and can get everything done via that chat platform (changes, concerns, questions, etc). I was also nervous to use this furniture rental site as they didn't seem to have any organic reviews on the internet. I wasn't sure whether to trust the website reviews, as that is certainly not always reliable and perhaps full of bot reviews / delete any negative reviews. So this is me now giving a positive authentic review :) Hands down, SO HAPPY with the product and service. I am writing this review to help anyone who also has any hesitations in the quality of the products, etc. This isn't discounted furniture. If you're looking for a super cheap option, this may not be site for you. For me, I didn't want to commit to investing in expensive furniture for my rental - but I also noticed buying cheap furniture became pricey over the years as I would constantly replace it due to the super cheap and inefficient quality. I used feather for an entire year. I would not use them again, and would not recommend anyone else to use them either. The whole operation feels like it's being run out of someone's basement. Customer service always takes a couple of days to respond, if at all. I even had to send multiple emails before support would get back to me about a faulty lamp they gave me. The prices are also incredibly expensive. There's no transparency. I ended up "buying out" most of the furniture I had. Feather sent a bill for the "remainder" of what was left to buy the rest of the furniture. They could feasibly charge whatever they feel because they do not provide you any information about the actual price at any point during your subscription. Highway robbery! You're better off shopping at Crate and Barrel. Forget these guys. read more

We've only had our peace for a couple of weeks but we're not only happy with the final product but what got us here.From order to delivery it was really easy to work with feather. The online customer service team were *real people* who responded to my questions promptly. The piece we ordered was brand new when it arrived. Ever since the company was sold to another corporation, the communications has been extremely difficult. They also make the move out process inconvenient for you. You have to tell them a date and they will notify you the arrival window 2 days before... whether you get the date you want or not. I purchased a bed frame and shelf from Feather, and they told me that my delivery schedule would be on Thanksgiving Day (about a week after my order). I was actually okay with this since I didn't have plans until the evening. However, on Tuesday (2 days before the delivery), they sent me a message that they made a mistake and would come on Wednesday instead. I already booked my whole day though, so I asked them to reschedule with more advance notice rather than next day. The team said that they would "accommodate" allowing me to reschedule and that they would be nice enough to waive the rescheduling fee... I don't know why they thought they were doing me a favor since they tried changing my delivery day last minute... I was told that they would come Friday instead, and that I would get a delivery time window confirmed by Wednesday. I didn't hear from them on Wednesday and Thursday on any confirmation of the delivery time window. I emailed the rep and called all of their numbers with no response. On Friday late morning, finally someone responds to my email saying that they are arriving on schedule from 1-3pm. That would have been nice to know what the schedule was. I'm sure things were crazy during the holidays, but I didn't appreciate that the support team didn't at least acknowledge that they made any mistakes. They only said "coming right on schedule!" when clearly they were unorganized and didn't communicate at all to their customer. As someone who works in customer service, this is a huge no-no. The delivery is due in a few hours, so I hope that everything arrive okay... UPDATE: I upgraded from 2 to 3 stars since the delivery guys were great. The scheduling and responses from the customer success team were pretty disappointing though. read more

Finally had it with this company. Bait and switch. Low inventory (but you pay another $99 everytime they deliver something you'd always wanted). Been over a year and no new items available (do not believe them - it is always the same shit). Long waits for delivery, inconsistent contracts and communication. And now finally they are screwing over their core rental customers stuck in contracts by selling the same furniture brand new for way less and not offering any reprieve for rental customers that have been patient with all of their issues. My Feather experience was great. Everything was prompt. The delivery guy, Angel, and his partner were both so kind and careful. Getting this couch through my apartment building's heavy elevator door and narrow hallway is no small task, but they handled it incredibly well. Plus, the sofa is beautiful -- I got the Kinglet sofa in a lovely green velvet. Complete regret. Hidden fees "in the lease": If you don't like an item and want to change there are $150 fees. There is both a drop off and pick up fee. Crappy couch: Couch was uncomfortable but would have cost $150 to switch out so we persisted. Weak customer service: Very unfriendly tone, factual. I'd compare it to a bank in terms of how transactional it felt. I had chairs arrive late, they changed the terms and there was never any kind of appeasements or concessions. I wish theyd said enjoy your furniture at least once. Overall: Ended up being very expensive and I wish I had bought pieces to own at the start. Agree with comments here about it being better to buy and then sell the pieces at 30-50% at the end. Regrets! read more

I rarely ever review products or companies, BUT my experience with Feather was so amazing I just had to!! First and foremost, the furniture is unreal. It's made beautifully and each piece feels like premium quality. After I placed my order, I measured my room and realized the dresser wasn't going to fit (keep in mind - this is two days before my delivery date). I emailed Hilary - who is an absolute rockstar - late at night asking if I could switch the dresser with a smaller one! She got back to me 6am the next morning to "see what she could do". Literally by 6:15am, she had already switched the dresser, confirmed it would deliver with the rest of the items, AND resent the contract with the lower price. Wow. Come delivery day, Josh and Jared (two super cool guys) came RIGHT ON TIME! My delivery window was from 9:30am-11:30am. I got a link that tracked where they were and they showed up on the dot! Not only did they move all the furniture in efficiently and quickly, they even helped me with my room layout! We moved things around several times until it was perfect. I will add photos when I get back but I cannot say enough good things!! I've recommended them to all my roommates, friends, and family. Can't wait to use them again!!!! Prices for the rentals here are insane. For a 10 month plan you'll end up paying around 75-85% of the retail price (note that's for a new piece, and many of the pieces that Feather rents out are used!). You could just buy the piece and sell it for 30-50% of the price you paid and lose less money. Their entire business model is on trying to make high-end furniture disposable, but you still end up losing less by getting upper to high range items from IKEA and just throwing them out, or buying and selling Crate and Barrel/CB2 pieces. EDIT: My review on their website was deleted, which is the reason I'm leaving one here. Several of my friends who also had negative experiences with missed delivery times or even DAYS and billing issues who left appropriate reviews also had theirs deleted. read more

They showed up early which was even better. And they were finished with all the furniture set up within just half an hour -- so quick and easy. The tiniest, most minor flaw was that one of the dressers they set up had a scratch on the front that is quite visible and definitely not due to us as I wasn't even home during assembly. So just need to be careful about being blamed for damage by staff. read more
