The Latchis building is a beautifully restored and well loved multi-use art deco style building. Last night I saw a movie in the main theater for the first time and I was NOT expecting the auditorium to be gorgeous or to be disappointed that we didn't have time before the movie to properly take it in. Both the lobby and main theater are very ornate and Greek themed. To quote my husband after doing a double take when we entered the theater"... Well,... This is very beautiful..." About a decade ago I saw a movie in theater 3 which is just a small plain serviceable theater... In no way preparing me for the main theater. This is a historic theater...and you are getting an old school experience. The seats don't recline and you don't book them in advance. Tickets are $10 for adults and the staff is nice and helpful. If you are staying in the Latchis hotel you never even have to leave the building. I didn't get any concessions... But they are a Pepsi house which is always deeply disappointing to me. This place would be perfect if it sold beer like the historic Somerville theater in Boston. But there i is a pub in the same building for before or after the show. The theater is very centrally located and by the parking garage.

absolutely love this theater and everyone who works here. Affordable ticket and concessions,…read morebeautiful theater, comfortable seats and easy parking.

The Harris Hill Ski Jump was built in 1922 and is meets the standards for international ski jumps. They've hosted national championships here and even run some Olympic Qualifier events. It is open as a park and trailhead during the offseason with a small parking lot at the bottle of the hill. I opted not to climb the entire hill but I did go up a little bit and look around. And while there are lots of crazy things I might do in my life, ski jumping is NOT one of them. [Review 18446 overall - 46 in Vermont - 1968 of 2022.]

Once a year Harris Hill hosts a ski jump competition and if you haven't seen one of these events…read moreyet, then you are missing out. This amazing event draws some of the best competitors in the US and watching them compete is incredible. The tickets for this two day event is a bit high, but it us definitely worth the money. During the off season, this ski jump become a park that is open to the public. Walking around the grounds and actually up to the top of the jump is fun and terrifying. In the end, the event held here is great, but just spending time at the park in the spring, summer, or fall is fun as well. I love you see the view from the top of the jump and I encourage you to try it for yourself.

I just became a member at $45 so admission was free for me, $8 total for them. What a deal! The building is a gem - an old train station and the lobby makes for a welcoming, spacious, and beautiful place to see art. The ticket office is preserved and is the art room for kids and the young at heart. The woman who greeted us - an intern from Marlboro College - was super helpful as well as enthusiastic about the exhibits. We were all enthralled with the Red Grooms exhibit - his art (which is playful & joyful) plays off the white, airy space well. We only had 60-90 minutes but we could have sat on that NY bus all day. The rest of the space - off the main lobby - is less exciting (lower ceilings, nothing reminiscent of an old train station) but the art was well done, especially the Mallory Lake pastels. I just moved from the Bay Area to Western Massachusetts and am thrilled that this place exists. Note the individual membership currently includes a discount to Marlboro's music series.
