He replied, "I don't like repeating myself twice." His nurse brought my friend into the examination room. When she arrived, Dr. Basti again stated that he had already explained everything to me and that he did not like repeating himself. I found this interaction unnecessarily disrespectful. First, Dr. Palmer was running an hour behind on appointments, and the front desk didn't even have the courtesy to tell me when I checked in, only when I asked 45 minutes past my appointment time. Next I met with members of Dr. Palmer's staff. All of whom were very friendly and informative. They are the ones that get the 2 stars. They conveyed my situation to Dr. Palmer who told me it wasn't as bad as it could be (true but it still sucks when your eyes feel constantly irritated) and then offered to write me a prescription. Several other doctors had specifically advised against the drug because of side effects so I asked Dr. Palmer why he thought it was a good idea. His only response, I like it and think it works. This is how Dr. Palmer was with most of the questions I asked that were a little more specific. I know doctors are busy, and I know patients can be annoying, but I didn't like that I felt badly for asking questions.

Lisa Rosenberg at University Eye Specialists is perfectly pleasant and personable. But she is busy. She is not going to sit down and chit chat with you. And you may wait a long time because she gets a lot of emergent, complicated cases. But you will get the best medical care for your eyes that you can get in the city and far beyond. I wait a long time most times I go. Every time, I get irritated. Then I take deep breaths and it passes. Then I go see the doctor who is my best chance of not going blind, and I think that's a fair trade off.

I've since flown all over the country to see at least a dozen occulo plastic surgeons over the years; half of whom did not want to touch me because they couldn't figure out what on earth she did to me. The other half suggested implanted weights, skin grafts, and full reconstruction. He even asked why I hadn't sued since she still does surgery with a cautery pen. I now have to get Botox and filler injected straight into my eyelid for the rest of my life. She's also condescending and comes off as arrogant during consultation. I figured she knew her sh*t since she had over 15 "certifications" on her office wall and has been in practice since the stone ages. Maybe just that many more years of skilled scam artist techniques. Someone WILL definitely sue one day. Avoid!
