So I used to get Halo Laser done in SF and when I moved to Chicago I was a bit up a creek when it came to a good place for it. I ended up coming to Dr. Mary because the company that makes the laser actually recommended her. They did not disappoint. Atmosphere: If you have ever been to a med spa or any cosmetic doctors office, think of the opposite of that. I was expecting to walk into either a very medical feeling doctors office with paper on the beds or a bright white med spa.. no. Dr. Mary's office feels like walking either into a very well decorated home or an art gallery. It is really unlike any office I have ever been to. Think tons of mirrors, chain curtains on the glass, REAL paintings and like actually nice art work. What is kinda cool about this office is that there are a lot of places to sit and not be seen, which for a place that does cosmetic work I think is pretty important. Also, real coffee table books in the lobby, not the most recent magazines. Staff: You're greeted when you walk in because they can see you coming in the mirror that is angled toward the door. Everyone there is super friendly and you can tell is very into what they do. They give you an iPad to fill out, and offer you water or tea which makes the at home/spa feel that much more apparent. I really have nothing negative to say here. Service: This was very interesting because every other time I have had Halo done, it's usually been a nurse that does the procedure. Here, Dr. Mary is the one who actually did the Halo on me which I thought was pretty great. There were a few times that she notified me that she was changing settings on my nose or other areas to target pores more etc. and there was a confidence level that made me much more comfortable than I had at other places. Not to mention, I felt that the treatment I received was actually pretty custom to me since she made it a point to use different setting in different areas to make sure I got the most out of the procedure. They gave me a kit to take home in one of their custom bags. The kit had everything I could need from foundation to sunscreen to face wash etc. along with my post care instructions. Another cool thing that they do is give you Dr. Mary's direct cell when you get a Halo. That way you can text her with any questions and send her a selfie the next day. Overall: This was a really great experience. I felt that I was in good hands throughout the entire time and the office is extremely comfortable. I can not speak to other procedures because I have only done Halo, but I can say that this was probably the best med spa experience I've had from start to finish. They really put their patients first and for me that is definitely something I look for. I'm really happy that I found this place. read more

Okay, so I would like to start by saying that I am not easy to please when it comes to this stuff because I'm picky and this is my face you're dealing with. I had been looking around for someone to do fillers. I had been looking online for doctors and found a few I was considering. I hadn't come across Dr. Mary or PritiSkin during my searches - they must not do a lot of advertising. I had gone to lunch with my friend who always looks good, but she looked absolutely flawless and said she didn't have any make up on. She had told me she went to Dr. Mary and had her under eyes done so that she wouldn't have dark circles and some laser procedure on her skin for brown spots. I was sold. The consultation fee was $100 but it was then applied to whatever treatment I then received, so really just paying not to waste their time. Everyone working there is VERY knowledgable about the procedures they do there and are all just cool people to talk to. The office is really relaxing and does not feel like a doctors office. They did not keep me waiting more than 10 minutes which was really nice. I started with the esthetician before I saw Dr. Mary. We talked about what my concerns were and then what things stood out to her when she looked at me. We decided that my under eyes needed to be tackled first. She did them that day while I was in the office. She numbed me first, which probably helped, but it didn't hurt at all and only took about 45 minutes. I seriously couldn't believe the results. I looked overall SO much better and you couldn't tell what I did. I was seriously in shock over how something so little could seriously change my entire face. Recovery was not bad at all. I was a little bit swollen day 2 but was not bruised and only I could feel that I was swollen- by day 3 I felt pretty normal. Pricing, it was not inexpensive but not crazy my injections cost me a total of around $1,300.00 but it was worth every penny. Not to mention it's your face. Don't be cheap. Dr. Mary is an artist. I am so happy I found a doctor that I feel confident and comfortable with and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doctor who really knows what she is doing. read more

I strongly recommend Dr. Mary Szatkowski-Pritikin. Since the minute I met Dr. Szatkowski-Pritikin her soft, yet strong personality (the personality of someone that knows her field) gave me a sense of trust that I never felt before - not even with my 20+ dermatologist! Very pleased that she has such a great team working with her. Mira, to whom I can never thank enough for always being so professional and caring every time I have a procedure done (the first time I met Mira, I mentioned to her that I only wanted the doctor to fix my eyebrows; she gave me a big smile while saying "you will come back." She said: "we will work on your eyebrows, cure your acne scarring and uneven skin tone on your face and get rid of your sunspots on your face; we will make you beautiful again." My thought was this is not an easy task and that it sounded just like a dream. Dr. Szatkowski-Pritikin put so much enthusiasm, effort and dedication in each and every procedure always taking the time to explain to me why a particular procedure was being done for great results. I am now a mature lady with her youthful looks back and can honestly say that I look better than in my younger years! Thanks to Dr. Szatkowski-Pritikin, I have beautiful eyes, my youthful looks are back, and do not need to wear makeup foundation to cover my acne scars, uneven skin tone and sunspots. This is my first Yelp review. I was recently so impressed with the care that Dr. Mary gave my daughter and I prior to my daughters wedding. I have personally been a patient of Dr. Mary for about 5 years now. She really is the only person I would ever trust to touch my face. I have done skin procedures like Halo, fillers and exilis but most recently, a nano fat transfer. I am never disappointed and really trust her recommendations. She helped my daughter (and I) get ready for her wedding and I could not be more grateful. She was genuinely excited to make her look perfect and even gave her a laser on her hands (AS A GIFT) so that her hands looked great for her rings. She really cares about every one of her patients and treats everyone like a friend. I'm surprised that this place only has one review. I have been looking for somewhere to get the Halo Laser for my skin and after a lot of research came across Dr. Mary. The office was very nice and both Dr. Mary and her staff make you feel very comfortable. During my first appointment they gave me a folder of everything Dr. Mary discussed with me and her coordinator actually put together a suggested 6 month timeline for everything we discussed- nice touch. I had the halo done about 2 weeks ago and I'm happy with the results. Dr. Mary is actually the one who does the halo at this practice which is nice because I don't think it's common for the surgeon to be the one doing laser stuff. I'm glad that I took the time to really research and find this place. It's kinda a hidden gem. Plus it's in the same building as Heaven on Seven so definitely schedule during lunch. read more

Originally found Dr. Mary back in November from a Chicago Magazine article I had read about under eyes and she was featured. The consultation went really well and I felt really comfortable with her. She explained everything in a very straight forward way. I ended up having a blepharoplasty in January to remove the fat from under my eyes. The surgery itself was totally comfortable she talked to me throughout it which was helpful and I was in for a follow up 5 days after for the few stitches to be taken out. I'm now 3 months post op and so incredibly happy with my results- hence why I'm writing this review. I would recommend Dr. Mary to anyone who's concerned with their eyes. She is not a general plastic surgeon, she's an oculoplastic surgeon so eyes are what she does! Definitely do your research! Couldn't be happier with my experience and results. read more

Dr. Mary knows what she's doing. I've been dealing with a swollen eyelid (due to a stye, which btw was previously treated by another ophtalmologist) for 3 months. I checked Dr. Mary's website and I wasn't sure if she can help me because of the esthetic services offered, BUT on the other hand, I thought, it looks like she is a very experienced ophtalmologist, so I decided to give it a try. I'm so happy I did it - she diagnosed the right thing and offered me couple of options how to treat my eye. After I decided to go with drainage procedure, which is practically a mini-surgery, my eye finally looks okay. If I ever have another health issue with my eyes, I'll definitely visit her office. I originally came to Dr. Mary for my hollow under eyes after finding her in a Chicago magazine article a few years ago. I honestly wouldn't trust any other practice. The staff is great and make you feel really comfortable and Dr. Mary is honest and straight forward. I did fillers under my eyes for 2 years (she uses Restylane products) and then after I wanted a more permanent solution we did a fat transfer. I am probably 8 months out from my fat transfer and still very happy. Couldn't recommend enough. read more
