I'm thinking to myself, there's NO WAY. I just went in there and placed a HUGE bulk order for my daughters 10th birthday party. Why tf would they let me come in and place a bulk order knowing they were going to close permanently, and not have the decency to call me and let me know I would need to full-fill my order elsewhere..... no way they would they ever do that! I mean what 20+ business operates on disfunction like that? So I thought...... So i call the maple crest location just to be informed that yes the store on Calhoun is permanently closed, they couldn't call me because they took the wrong number down (I don't believe they ever even tried to call tbh), yes they do have my order form at the Maplecrest Store, everything is in the store, and I can pick it up there, but it cost 3x's as much as I was told the first time and they will not be honoring the initial amount they told me it would be. My daughters party is in 48 hours. I have family otw in from out of town. I have paid over $500 in vendors for this event and now I have no food! How tf am I supposed to find 300 wings and 10 lbs of hamburger an 9 slabs of ribs in this little amount of time. You would think a company would try their hardest to work with your needs seeing as how they were the ones who dropped the ball, but nope, nothing. Not even so much as an apology, or we apologize for the inconvenience. No is there anything we can do, No well let's see if we can set you up with something more affordabl.....NOTHING AT ALL. There was absolutely no care or concern. This is the worst business agree I ever entered into. And to add insult to injury the person I spoke with hung up on me when I said I couldn't keep the order because I couldn't afford the new price. Not so much as a coupon or gift card was offered to me. Smh NEVER AGAIN WILL THIS COMPANY EVER GET MY BUSINESS! I would advise you all to be very mindful when dealing with this company. We go here for all of our meats and cookout needs. The staff is knowledgeable and their product is fantastic. Prices are fair Would recommend their brats/sausages and their salads. My wife loves their deviled eggs too. read more

They are obviously a big ripoff! The feders on Maplecrest at Georgetown has been ripping customers off for a while now. Their chuck roast is $14.99 a lb this week. It is between $5.69 and $5.99 a lb at Krogers, Cosco, Jamisons, and Didiers this week. I asked them why and at first they said they have "choice" meat . Choice meat is 65% of the meat supply and found in grocery stores. When I asked them why the price of chuck roast was SO MUCH HIGHER than their competitors they would not answer me. Everything, except a "Kill Room" that is the slogan of this new meat market. About three months ago, I wanted to try some before buying a customized package of meat. It easily "killed" Krogers, just a few sirloin steaks with their handmade specialty sausages. At my neighbor's outdoors barbecue, the second purchase. I donated half dozen sirloins, some sausages with, well buns. Just to see how well they would do, and Albright's did not disappoint. Again "killing" a grocery store chains offerings. And what was the option of guests there? What a waste of charcoal "Krogers"? Not sure? Created. In all honesty he did use a large green egg to cook in. So you will need to see how it turns out for you. For me the sausage was done to perfection. With a nice drizzle of BBQ sauce on top. It was by far the best sausage sandwich I've had in a long time. Long long time. The bun left a little room for improvement, but what would you expect from Krogers, so that is forgivable. And wasn't that bad, just not up to par par with the sausage/sauce combo. It was kind of like playing pebble beach and the tee's where a little bit lumpy. Albrights intends to penetrate the world o take home meals and restaurant / bar meat offerings on your plate and change the world when it comes to how meat is supplied. Local meat. Local butcher. Locals loving local goodness. This is the local marketplace vertically intergrading itself into a streamlined service of a healthy way to go about eating our most beloved craving. If you take one part restaurant (read don't eat a hog for dinner). One part Albrights your guilt complex surrounding meat will turn into a prideful, uplifting experience. read more

I have been shopping Feder's Calhoun location for several years, and have never been disappointed with the meats I have gotten from them. They have great steaks and brisket, and my husband is a big fan of the peppercorn bacon. We have gotten multiple meat packages from them, and have never gotten a bad cut of meat. A little more expensive than grocery store prices, but well worth it to get highest quality! read more

I discovered Albright's three days before Christmas, in search of ducks. Having called all three Jamison's locations and a handful of other places, I thought my plan of roasting Christmas ducks had been foiled. How a meat market runs out of frozen ducks at Christmastime is beyond me. I'd never heard of Albright's before, and it was my last resort. They had ~7 ducks to choose from; a huge improvement on zero. In addition to the prime cuts of meat that you would expect from a meat market, they also have a variety of other things that can be hard to find in Fort Wayne, like offal. Albright's had chicken backs, chicken necks, chicken hearts, livers, kidneys, turkey organs, fatback. . . The service was also great. I spoke with three different employees who were all very friendly. One of those employees was the man who appeared to be in charge, and he was very helpful, offering tips and advice from his own experience. Albright's will be my go-to meat market in Fort Wayne from now on. read more

Bought. 5 lbs of bacon for 16 dollars on Tuesday went to cook a pound today four days later couldn't even eat it had an old taste and the one piece I did have tasted like a salt like so now I'm stuck with four more pounds of old nasty salt lick bacon thanks for nothing read more

Fort Wayne has quite a few meat markets to choose from. After visiting a few we settled on this one even though it's on the opposite end of town from us. Why? Great service, selection and the prices are actually competitive with the large chain stores. We tend to go with a package deal and it normally lasts us at least 2 or 3 weeks. Love it! read more

For the Maplecrest store location some employees need more training when dealing with the public. You can't have an attitude when dealing with the public. I go and shop for my elder Aunt at the Maplecrest location. And I promise after the way I was treated today. I'll explore more options for meat stores. When I know people in the community that patronize this business for there business purposes. So it's never a good idea to have an employee that is the front contact to customers have attitudes with the customers. You just never know the customer you're encountering. read more

Save you time and money. Head up north up to the real albrights in Corona. From terribly unskilled butchers to still frozen meat in their case. They're simply trying to piggyback on the success of a real meat market. Change your name and invest in better management would be my suggestion and keep your freezer burnt meats. read more
